How to plug a pendrive to the microUSB-otg? - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

What do I need in order to plug a USB pendrive to the phone and copy files between both?
I just bought one of those cheap micro USB otg adaptor. So far I understood that you need this:
-2.3.4 rooted
-A kernel with usb otg modules (drivers) built-in like inteks kernel or doomlord kernel v9
-An useful app to mount USB drives called q5
-A root file explorer app

Did you got this working? My usb drives doesn't show up in q5 app

See bro,
I haven't tested it, but according to my information,
Buy a Nokia N8 OTG Cable and plug it into ur device in the shop itself (thumb drive should also be attached)
Now if ur drive lights up, means it works
Buy the cable and come home
Now
Open xperia arc forum and open OTG thread,
From all the listed methods, u will find an Apk method
Download that apk and mount ur drive using that app and open any good file explorer to see ur drive(i recommend ES file explorer)

Buy a cheap OTG adapter and it gonna work. I tested it with N8 cable and my mouse, keyboard were working without any hassle

No I havent coz I dont have one, but I think it should work too.

I've tried it bro, doesnt works because kernel doesn't support
As i flashed Doomlord kernel, it had built in modules and after that pendrive works

you need 2.3.4 + doomkernel V9 for that, but beware that doom kernel eats battery 3X faster

Yeah, without Doomlord kernel the usb otg for pendrive is not working but mouse/keyboard are working fine. I think Sony will update it in future.

oo.. thanks naturist.. if with doomlord kernel the usb otg for pendrive is working? doomkernel drain more battery.. but can overclock.. it isnt SE ori kernel can use usb hub to connect mouse and keyboard??

Yes with doomlord it will work as the champ update the kernel with reqst files which is required to work for usb otg.
Keyboard and mouse works with Sony original kernel. I tested myself. Thats why I am hoping Sony will update the files for the pendrive to work. Hope this makes sense.

I dont think that sony would ever do that, if it was to enable drives ,it would have already done it in 2.3.4 when it added the others- maybe the reason bieng that drives take more power
BTW: IF u have an iphone 4, can u tell me how to enable bluetooth file sending via cydia

i just installed the doomlord kernel and bought that n8 cable and now when i am plugging the mouse it's working fine but when i try the flash drive it says unsupported usb device connected
what should i do?
