[Q] Help with CWM recovery [FIXED] - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I need help. I used Font Changer (root) from market, and i screwed something, and my phone stucked in the boot logo.. So i tried to reinstall ROM (alien) but my recovery (the newest one, i think CWM 5.0.26) can't mount sd card. I was trying it so much, and now, my battery is discharged, so i can't even try to flash rom via fastboot.
I know, i know, i did it wrong, i'm dumb and what so ever, call me how do you want, but please, help me!

You need to charge the battery or get a factory cable before you can do anything

Any chance to charge battery without having factory cable or other battery? (I havent any friend with the same phone...)

Anybody knows?

Buy one of those desktop chargers that you just plug the battery in. They are cheap....

How do you usually charge your handset?

Maulich: Ok, thanks... But I thought if there isn't some mode in Atrix that I can charge with... But it's probably bull****
Baz Scotland: By normal wall charger, but my battery isn't charging, I always stuck at bootlogo, and when I wan't to reflash, recovery write: E:/ Can't mount SD card and in fastboot mode says: Battery is too low to flash

Ouch I feel your pain, I expected the battery to charge if left switched off, best solution would be to purchase a dock that will charge the battery when removed from the handset, I've seen a few on ebay.
Only problem is having to wait for delivery.

Less than 5 bucks on Amazon.

Amazon sounds like your best bet, they usually delivery pretty fast as well.

Ok, thanks I will buy the battery charger, but on ebay. I am from CZE and amazon doesn't ship there and i have good experience with delivery from Hong Kong (about 3-4 days and for free).
Thanks for help.

Just bought a 2200mah external case

I just bought a i9100 external battery case from ebay not sure if its any good or it fits but I'm going to give it a try any ways. Has any bought one of this.
UPDATE"""
OK got the case 2 days ago and was going through the cycle charges to get the full potential out of the battery. The case fits great with no freezes or boot loop when on. Cons it kept turning of and on by its self, but fixed that by bending the usb plug. OK second con is the battery life sucks it would only charged the phone up to 65%. So what I did was open up the case to see what size battery it was and it says 1700mah not 2200mah liked stated on the case.the battery is crap and I wont recommend it to any one. I'm going to try to take out the old battery and put in a better battery..

Extended battery

I found this on e-bay & it says not compatible with the nfc chip. My phone doesn't have that right? Also, what do you think the chances of this battery boot looping? I already have 3 that do. Does anyone know of any on Ebay that don't for sure? I saw the post for the Amazon one but I don't want to spend 30 bucks when I can get free shipping on Ebay.

That'd be nice if only it would charge in our phones, but since it'd probably give you a boot loop it makes no sense to get one since it doesn't even come with a wall charger to give it any juice.
I got a wall charger with the other 3 regular ones that boot loop.

That seems to be the same as this ones.

I have the Hyperion Version.. and been very happy it doesn´t boot loop.
So this one won't boot loop? I might pick one up then as it'd be nice to have the battery and the case

Cool. If you could take pictures of what it all looks like together, that'd be great too!
I just got it today. I tried to charge it with my charger from the other batteries I got & it's reversed so can't charge it that way. Its in my phone now & thankfully does not boot loop. I'll try & get some pictures up soon.

Help - Stuck at battery charging Symbol

So my phone ran out of my battery today and when i tried plugging it in again it wont charge and it loops through the battery symbol every 2 sec. I flashed the AKOP jellybean 4.1 rom last week and it worked fine. Any ideas?
It could be a Sod? Just flash another rom through recovery.

I cant enter recovery mode or download because it says battery is too low.
I've had something a little similar happen to me recently. Mine was reporting a constant charge when unplugged. The fix was cleaning the USB port with alcohol and a toothbrush, and then using a toothpick to push the inside of the USB board up just barely. Apparently USB port issues are common with this model. Maybe that's the issue with your phone?

Okay so I tried that and I'm getting the same thing. Is it possible the battery is just dead? It doesnt seem likely cause yesterday it was working fine.
Replace the battery, or turn it on without the battery.

I'm able to get to download mode without the battery in. I've tried flashing the stock samsung rom but same problem. I'm unable to do anything else without the battery. With the battery in I cant even get to download mode or anything else. I'm just gonna try another battery from the att store. Otherwise if anybody else knows anything plz let me know.
I'm having this exact same issue. I can't get into download mode though. How were you able to?
I have tried leaving it on the charger for over an hour now, and no luck. I think the battery has literally died on me.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2013766
**Update** I can get into download mode as well without the battery in. But I haven't flashed anything yet as I'm guessing we both have the same issue. Its got to be the battery. Let me know how the test at ATT turns out. If good, I'll just buy one off ebay for like $7
Try this: Once you are in download mode without the battery, put the battery in and see if it charges (give it a hour or so). Someone did this when they had the problem you are having and it worked for them.

I'm unsure, but maybe you're right and it is your battery. I'm not an expert with this kind of stuff so I can't offer too much help beyond the basics. From what I understand our phone's battery has a gauge built in to monitor battery level and report it to the OS, instead of relying on Android's built in monitoring. Maybe that got messed up when the battery was completely discharged? Hope a new battery gets it working for you, those are relatively cheap.

The same thing happened to my boss's phone. Since we have the same phone, I put my battery in his phone and it worked fine. So he ordered a new battery and it worked. You may have to get a new battery.

He has. He said he flashed stock through odin and it didn't fix it.
Sorry didn't see that part:\ must be bad battery unless the other kernel isn't on par, anyway, just trying to help and good luck

I think I have posted about this before my phone is still doing it and it makes the USB unrecognized by any system so I been looking for a fix for this.
Sent from my SGH-I777 using xda app-developers app
I went ahead and bought a new battery from Ebay. Only like $4 so I'm not too worried if it doesn't fix it. I'll update everyone when I get it!
I met this problem before. The phone shew charging and then reboot, again and again. The phone was overheated, in the night before.
I bought new battery and external battery charger from eBay. The new battery works well, and the old battery works well after charged by the external charger once. It seems that the cellphone need some minimal battery to work. I guess the phone use too much battery in the night, for some unknown reason, so the phone does not able to get enough power to get into charging circle.
I'ts my guess. If someone can test the voltage of battery, it may show the reason.
Replaced the battery and it is fixed. Just had a battery completely drain on me.

Sounds like a bad charger, either this or a bad batter/USB port but I would first attempt a different charger or USB cord, preferably a high quality one

You think sir it's USB port?
Sent from my Razor using xda app-developers app
well if you need to plug it in 5 times and then when it does charge its real slow, and you have tried multiple cables to the same effect, this would be my guess.
if it were me i test to see if its software related first, if your rooted try a few roms
also check to see if adb works over usb
also there are apps to test usb, i use zdevice test for a lot of hardware testing, cant remember off hand how good their usb test is though (kinda remember there are better ones but cant think off hand)
if you paid by credit card often you can get a copy of recipt by calling cc company
I already tried Rom but it doesn't change anything sir.. and my phone is local brand

[*SOLVED* ]Brick my Razr?

Hi All,i have problem with my phone...
Flashed carbon ROM,the official one, all went OK with the installation, but when I try to charge the battery look like don't charge,no circle animations of the battery icon,I think it's a problem with the car charger, but I tried with all charger in my house, with the original one with the nexus 7 and the one of my old galaxy s,but only appear the white led....
It happened few times so I leaved it charge all the night and try to turn on and it did but after the recovery check red led and turn off...
So try again and the second time I went into recovery and wipe system cachae dalvik and battery stats and flash cm 10.1 rc3 but again the same problem.
In the recovery (bbm) the battery stay a 99% for few minutes then go to 4% and after I flash go to 0% and after two minutes shot down
My question is,I have a micro USB problem a battery one or software one? Don't really know what do this time
Factory cable?

Try doing the same by keeping the phone plugged in..

Try using a factory cable and RSDLite it to stock ROM.
Then plug it in and see if the battery is charged.

You can get a new unlocked XT910s for 145 Euros..
I did it
I take a factory cable from the UK 8€ (It's the same of the Kindle Fire)
I put out the battery,Went in fastboot and flash stock 4.1.2
Reboot with the battery in and now the charge is good
Don't know why it won't charge last time...
I was on the 4.2.2. Carbon (no clean install ) and i belive the problem was from the software part
Thanks to everyone how tried to help me
And big thanks to Jack'O for the moral support
