Widgets icon with number like on Iphone - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi. I really like the feature from iOS that shows on icons number in red bubble refering to new updates, messages, etc.
So i found some apps for android (i know that you know them) that have similiar widget.
SMS unread count, gmail count, gmail labels, gReader, facebook(only with GO launcher),remember the milk.
So i wonder if you know any other apps with this type of notifications widget.

so i found today this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1020459&page=2
it pretty much shows what i am looking for. that tutorial for whatsapp works for me, however on my phone nottification bubbles are too small so i should replace them with some bigger one. original ios would be great, but i have to find some aprropriate.
i d like to know what other widget apps could be created with this method.

[Q] unread email widget

Hi
I had a quick look at the market google and xda forum but I can not find what I am looking for.
I would like a 1x1 widget that shows how many unread email (pop account) I have.
Do you know of anything like that?
Kind Regards

Like this at the bottom of my screen ?:
not really
I am just interested by a 1x1 widget like the one for gmail but for pop accounts
does it make sense?
Me too!
I'm looking also for something like the notification bubble for the stock (pop / imap) e-mail.
Like those from ADW Notification or GO Launcher Notification. Just that they provide bubbles only for Gmail.
Someone knows something like that?

SMS Unread Count by kanokgems
Supports unread SMS, Missed calls and unread gmail messages
incredible, we can not find an unread widget for pop account ?
This in not for pop account.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Looking for this as well. amazed that there arent tons of these. Not interested in gmail or kø etc just want a 1x1 widget for pop and imap email. The only thing nearing what I am after is Email Widget but that requires k9.
Well you probably already know this, and it may not be what you want, but I will throw it out there anyway.
The stock Samsung email icon, when used with the stock Touchwiz, shows the unread counter on itself. Would this work for you?
Thats the 4x2 one? Dunno about the OP but for me i have several accounts and rather than take up a tonne of screen room with the stock email preview widget (nice as it is) I woild rather have a few account icons highlighting the number of unread emails.

No I was talking about the 1x1 icon itself, not the widget. Under Touchwiz that icon shows unread mail count, but yeah that count is global I think, for all email accounts under Samsung Mail
Has anyone tried the Executive Assistant that was free on Amazon a couple of days ago? That had some widgets I believe. But it is probably crap.

Email notifications

Hi all - first post so i hope it a relatively decent question. Did have a search but couldnt find anything related to this particular issue on this phone.
Im not sure whether this is better in the apps section or the phone specific but thought i would ask here first.
I have an unrooted S2 and i would like to use another Launcher.
My problem is that i cannot seem to find and App or Launcher or anything that can alert me of unread emails.
I have tried 'missed it' and executive assistant but to no avail.
Missed it works for calls and SMS but not email.
I should add that i am not using G mail but using the built in samsung email App with two accounts (1 POP and 1 Exchange).
If i receive an email using the default launcher and open the app drawer there is an email icon which displays the unread count in a red bubble. So if i add this icon to desktop or to the dock i can see unread mails.
If i am using Launcher Pro for example this icon is not in my app drawer or anywhere that i can find it. In stead there is exactly the same icon in the drawer but this does not display the unread count.
I am assuming that this is a semi sansung widget (although i cannot add it to desktop as a widget even in the standard launcher).
I have also tried using the social hub with launcher pro (and Go launcher and ADW) but again i get no notifications.
I still get the notifications in the notification bar no matter what launcher i use but these dissapear after a while.
This is currently the only thing stopping me using a different Launcher and it would be great if anyone had any ways around this.
Unfortunately i cannot and dont really want to forward my emails to Gmail.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Nath
Anyone got any ideas on this?
Thanks

[Q] Minimal, configurable, email and SMS widgets, compatible with K-9

I'm trying to set up my homescreen with minimal icons and text based widgets. The idea is to get all the at a glance information I want on one screen, without any ugly inconsistent widget backgrounds.
Android Agenda widget is customisable enough to let me do that for my calendar, but I'd like to do the same for my recent emails (ideally in my K-9 unified inbox) and SMSes. Something that will just show the sender and subject line/first few words, white text on a transparent background (or configurable so I can get it looking like that).
Does anyone have any recommendations? Is this something I could do through tasker or locale: take the notifications from my SMS and email and output them as text in a widget? If it is, how would I go about that?

Gmail unread notification

I like the Asus main unread widget. But is there something similar that will talk to Gmail?
something similar? i dont think so...not something that LOOKS like the asus one.
however, there are a couple things you can do.
i know for a face APEX launcher Pro has the option to put an "iOS" style unread bubble on the gmail icon on you home screen.
then there is the stock gmail widget which gives you an unread count in the upper right hand corner. doesn't look as clean as the asus widget, but it is a very functional widget.
