please guys i need help with my x10a
my xperia x10a FW2.1
i try to update my phone to 2.3 many times with many FW
and everytime update to 2.3 phone work good and when i be on the language page touchscreen dont work
my phone with 2.1 work great
but i dont know what to do to upgrade the FW to 2.3

Try flashing a different firmware, even try doing the rooted back up in the development forum by doomlord, see if that works, but after the upgrade, if it doesn't work, do a battery pull and let it boot back up and try again.

i used all
and same problem on select language page after start touchscreen dont work
but i can use power button and i can see the slide lock but i cant move it

hey guys, i've been going about the forums and trying out various stuff. i really want android 2.1 on my phone, but i've had no success. and i only just found out that the SO-01B runs on x10a configurations and according to wikipedia, it has lack of support for android 2.1.
is this true? if not, can someone please link me to a guide that will work for me? i've seen alot around but im not sure which one would work and i really don't want to mess up the phone.
Im running on android 1.6 with RABA026 FW

I'm in Japan with the So-01B and I have updated succesfully to 2.1
Same as you I flashed mine to an x10i and latest firmware (before 2.1).
Just donwload the decryted 2.1 ROM with flashtool from the main board and flash it. You'll be fine
Yes. I also updated my SO-01B to 2.1. No problems so far Everything works great.
Just use the version that provided @Bin4ry (hail to the genius) and you're set.
and don't forget to back up everything if things go sour (you never know).
i also have the same model as yours, and updated successfully.. i tried both the nordic and global firmware and both worked well..
can you please link me to thread that has the instructions?

hello i an kind of new here and was needing help please please please help. i want the 2.1 on my experia i had to redo it down to the generic 1.6 and have have not done anymore to it how do i get it on there.i tryed 2.1 update throw seus and nothing i tryed to use the nordic and it says channel not open.someone please help.

First of all i'm sorry if i opened a new thread..but i didnt know where to add this as a reply..
I have the x10 with this model number :
X10i VIP-HR VFE 1238-8955 Vipnet HR/Sensuous black
I've read over the net that this update is available but i dont seem to be able to update the phone with PC COMAPANION nor SEUS...its says that i have the latest software (im on 1.6)
Any ideas?
p.s sorry for being a noob :/ but im kinda frustrated to see the new update and being unable to use it

well first off what im about to say is dangerous if you dont know what your doing and can brick your phone! now that were past that lets see what we can do. since you have an x10i your in luck. a dev named bin4ry released a flash tool that will flash to global generic x10i with 2.1. go look for it in the android development thread (his icon is a penguin :B) download the flashtool and follow the guide posted in his thread. If you have windows xp 32 bit you should be in good shape, vista and 7 are known to have problems. if u need any help or have anymore questions feel free to post here

Check your SI against the list on the SE site. If you do not know your SI, turn off phone and look under battery.
The list has been updated every day so far this week.
Seems that the 1238 8955 is not out yet.
Well im a noob so..i think the best thing for me is not to try to flash my phone ... plus the thing that im using win 7 32bit.
I really appreciate your replys guys...
i just checked the SE site..and it seems that the update for my phone is not out yet.
i think i'll just wait a bit more for the update in orded not to brick my phone

If update my phone via SEUS or via Update Service, firware change to 2.1.X.X.X and my sreen on first power bricked. I try several custom roms, and works fine, untill I install a DT. Every EOM which have a dual touch included dont work. I try official SE ROM, change the build.prop to nordic, update and screen again dont work.
I try to use a XFree beta ver. 3 and works very fine and fast, but when I add a DT firmware screen is unresbonsabile.
I dont what is the problem with my phone...

That`s really strange
I guess you try X10a _2_1_A_0_435 HERE on 2nd post.
Try that.
If doesn`t work try X10i 2.1_2.0.2.A.0.24_GENERIC on the same thread
If any work i think you had to wait for official release in your country and see if works. If not send that to warranty
OK I try that..
But very strange is SEUS for my model 1232-4388 doesn t update to the latest firmware 2.1.x.x.x. Only to 2.0.x.x.x
Maybe SE for this model insert different screen
EDIT1: First ROM X10a _2_1_A_0_435 does not work... Lets go on second...
EDIT2: Second ROM X10i 2.1_2.0.2.A.0.24_GENERIC does not work..

Its better to update to 2.1.A.0.435. Then flash whatever custom ROM you want
