Does anyone know where the sound file it for when you plugin your charger and it beeps. Or what it should be named if there isn't one and I want to add one

hey,
i dont get a beep when i plug in the charger so cant give you a definite, have you checked your system folder?
miui sys' sounds can be found in system/media/audio/ui
take a look there?

Yes i dont get any sound either.....and the file is not under system/media/audio/ui as it should. So my question now is does the rom support it and what would i need to name the .ogg file and where would it be placed?

So I updated to 2.2 official and everytime I turn my phone on it makes the T-Mobile jingle. I want to turn the sound off and Ive turned media and system sound off but It still makes the sound so anyone there who knows how to fix this?

IF you at willing to root your device then it is as easy as deleting a single file. Otherwise, I am not so sure there is a way. Good luck!

What single file? Do tell. I'm rooted and I'm having this problem.

maybe he is talking about the sound emitted when you plug in your USB even if the phone is muted.
This has been removed in the CM7

It was a left over from GrainOsands High Voltage personal theme that many people said they enjoyed. You'll have to ask what the specific files are so you can remove them...probably something in /system/media. Opening the drop down notification will interupt the sound from playing in the meantime.
Have you shutdown your phone yet? The shutdown sound is pretty funny.

I don't know if straight up deleting the file will cause force closes so try copying 'Charger_Connection.ogg' from /system/media/audio/ui in an unthemed ComRom .zip and pasting it in the same directory on your phone. If it asks you to overwrite the file say yes.
I know that just deleting the shutdown.ogg will get rid of the shutdown sound without causing issues.

Just go into audio manager (should come with the theme) and set system volume to zero
Another Fascinating post by my XDA app...
Does anyone know how to get the sound to work on the bootanimations on the Photon?? I have put several on my phone and none of them play the sound. I made sure my sound was enabled but being that the stock bootanimation didn't have sound I wasn't sure if you are just unable to or not. Anyone know??

Where do I find the low battery sound? The lowbattery. Ogg is the only thing I can find but when I listen to it, it doesn't sound. Do like when my battery is low. Any insight appreciated.

Maybe use root browser app and use search function for .ogg from there you should be able to recognize the file and either rename it it .ogg.bak or replace with custom

Remove the file or rename it /system/media/audio/ui/Charger_Connection.ogg
You need root for that
