Sorry if this has been covered, but I couldn't find anything. Also, this question is not "when will ICS be released"
I've never used a custom rom with my SGS, so I was wondering which ROMs are considered the most stable, and which devs usually get new versions out quick with few bugs. The reason is I can then follow the thread for that ROM and see who pushes it out first

Your question is still stupid. Nevertheless, most probably teamhacksung will be the first with their CM ROM. Most other AOSP ROMs just use their work to create their own.

I'd recommend following these 2 forums, and you will definitely get the 1st version of ICS available on this site...

It was perfectly relevant. I can't tell you what you're going to like. You need to do what most other people do and try things for yourself. If someone offered you vanilla, chocolate or strawberry, would you ask them which was best or just try them?

No-one can possibly answer that. Watch the development forums and find out like the rest of us.
Anyway, it will probably be available AOSP before any "flavouring" is done, as the Nexus is AOSP.

Good news for Ace Community, soon we may experience cyanogenmod on our phone at max, by the end of 1st week of August, or soon, or later, the dev gonna roll out the NIGHTLIES of Cyanogenmod 7 for Ace.
Hey said that the build is stable and will be testing soon..... as he is out of town. But he also mention that some of our member, i mean from the ace community, seem to have annoyed him. So i request u to keep patience and not indulge in such non-sense, un-ethic things.
Remember, they(DEVS) dont expect any thing from us, but still they(DEVS) work for us.

Dont keep your hopes up. This will not come soon since they are annoyed by some from the Ace community because of so many people asking when, when, when, when.
Seems like a lot of people are forgetting the one and only rule when it comes to ROMS. - "Never ask when."

I'm so confused right now! Should we use the GingerReal or Cyanogenmod? From what i've read ppl sees these two ROMs as the greatest.

i think it would be not fair to say which rom to use but it depends on your taste
gingerreal will use stock rom as its base
whereas,
cyanogen will have its own base
Kolja posted a video on his google+ account.. the CyanogenMod on Galaxy Ace appears perfect! :O

Whats CyanogenMOD? Whats the purpose of it? Whats the advantages and disadvantages with the stock 2.3.3 KPN? Is it a standalone rom? or I've to upgrade to any gingerbread before upgrading to this ROM?

Just search for cyanogenmod on goole (Not allowed to post links)
Basicly it is one of the greatest custom roms for a whole lot of devices.

It has its own sources, totally independent of stock roms. That's why it's awesome and so anticipated.

I consider it my job to provide you with unbiased support, therefore I cannot suggest a specific ROM. I can only tell you to try CM9, HyDrOG3N ICS and any LP4 ROM and make your own choice.

Read the features in the rom-threads and decide which one you like to try. It's the best way to find out.

Best Rom? Well, for me it is hard to say which is the best ROM simply because they have their Pros and Cons. It will all depend on your daily needs, or what have you. As of now, I am using the latest build from Slim Rom 4.3.
Don't forget and as the saying goes... Your mileage may vary.

Thanks bro, i try flash CyanogenMod 10.2 official nightly builds, but something not right, there no keyboard and i cant do anything to write n search anything. Hard reset again....lol
