Atrix 4G external speaker fail?? - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just got my unlocked Atrix less than a week ago and already the external speaker failed on me, everything was working fine and suddenly while playing a video using (mx player) the rear external speaker stopped working, while earpiece speaker and 3.5" audio jack are working fine, here's what i did to check:
- Checked under sound settings/audio effects and found phone speaker connected but still nothing
- Booted into safe mode with no success.
- Did a hard reset a couple of times but still nothing.
Phone is on stock At&t 2.3.4 (4.5.91 Firmware) without any mods, and hasn't been dropped or anything, very strange and frustrating as ive been wanting this phone so bad and this happens in less than 5 days
don't know if its s/w or h/w related if either what is your opinions on fixing my problem.
one more thing cant return it for maintenance as im not in the U.S. (had my brother sent it to me) and the process of sending it back to him is not so easy.
so please help me out..
Thank you all.....

Any help please, is there a s/w fix i can try or speaker replacement is my only solution??
if the second, please recommend me an online repair/parts supplier i can check as i cant find any..
Thanks..

[Q]Is this HW problem ? & returning to full stock

Hi,
I've got black HTC HERO. Yesterday my hero has gone insane. It's just showing that I've got plugged in headphones, but I don't ! That would be okay, but while calling , microphone is not working and speaker neither! When I plug headphones everything is okay, when I unplug, it's back. So is this HW problem OR SW problem ? BTW running STOCK rooted rom(2.1).
Also, When I flash with official RUU, will it delete custom bootloader, recovery and rom ??? If not, what to do, to return to FULL stock (ready to be RMA'ed)
Mine did that a while ago, I think something has tripped the sensor that tells the phone headphones are plugged in. A lot of sucking and blowing down the headphone port soon fixed it for me. Kind of reminded me of my old gameboy.
In answer to your second question, yes an RUU will replace everything.

Big Help Needed

Right guys, I have been on the Original Development section asking similar questions and had good suggestions, but here is the problem in a lot more detail as I don't want to spam the section with the same problem and get literally no reply as people are busier with other things on there. Basically the phone has it's two speakers, the earpiece at the front and the speaker at the back both of which are working and functional. However the problem lies in the phone calls. I bought the phone on stock firmware, latest UK generic update it was and everything was fine. I decided to root the phone and flash PA 2.13.1. As soon as I did this I came across a few issues, one being NFC not working and the current and seemingly unfixable issue that I have with the phone calls where, as I receive a call and answer it the microphone doesn't work, I can't hear anyone and they can't hear me. Both on loud speaker and through the earpiece. It's as if they disable when a call comes through. But when I hang up or they hang up I can hear the end call tone, the beep coming through the earpiece. So I know that it works. The same goes for loud speaker, however I already knew that it still worked as I can play music through it cleanly. It's in perfect working order.
I've tried several solutions, including flashing new modems, RIL etc. Flashing 3 part software. I have yet to try flashing the 3 part software with a .PIT file, like mx.pit as I simply can't find that file (if someone would be as kind to link me it) anywhere. I'm currently back on stock XXALE8 UK firmware. The problem is still there. I STILL can't make a phone call without this annoying thing happening, and as I said, the problem wasn't there before I flashed PA. It's so f****** annoying as I followed the instructions perfectly, I mean, I've been using android since 2009 and rooting and flashing is nothing new to me. I've never had an issue as severe as this one.
Anyways, thanks in advance for any suggestions you guys can throw at me, I know you'll all agree when I say the GS3 kicks ass and you'll know my pain when I tell you it's being a broken piece of crap haha!
EDIT: Right, I have made another definite discovery with this problem! It's to do with my signal. When I answer a call or make a call, it appears to connect to the caller for roughly about 0.01 seconds as it says it's connected, but then it hangs silent for a while, about 13-15 seconds before disconnecting saying there is no service in the area. Give it another five seconds and the signal reconnects. It is the exact same effect you would have if you were on the phone on the train and went through a tunnel, it would say you were connected when you aren't. Does this make sense, anyone know what the cause of this could be?

[Q] Calling problem- caller can't hear me and vice versa

Hi,
I own a SGS3 and I couldn't find the answer to my problem anywhere. So basically I had Cyanogenmod on my S3 and one day somebody called me and I couldn't hear them (they couldn't hear me either). I tried putting them on speaker and still nothing. I thought that maybe my phone was damaged, so I tested the mic and speaker on Skype. Surprisingly, it worked perfectly. I concluded that it must be a software problem, so I tried going back to factory settings - nothing happened. I just got my phone back to the stock OS but the problem is still there. Any help, please?
Thank you in advance!

If you already did a clean reflash of everything and it didn't solve the problem, it is probably a hardware problem, so you might want to take it to a repair shop.
