Seeing as how we kinda now have android on the Touchpad, can we have a Touchpad Android Forum?
Thanks

Really helps to segregate into two forums.
I think you would probably have better luck if you pm'ed a mod, rather than starting a new thread... but I do agree, there would be a little bit more order if we had separate sections.

Please mods, it's time to build sub-section for the TP (android and webos) like every other multi-OS devices (HD2,...)
It's a bit hard to follow the forum since Android port became very popular :/

I agree
Yes, I agree... I even mentioned it in a thread yesterday. It was titled something like, "must have apps for the Touchpad". Turned out to be about apps for Touchpad's running Android.

This (General) forum is extremely difficult to follow now. Mod alerted the 1st post so hopefully, the mods notice.
More than once I had an Android reply to a webOS question, then had to retract my statement.
+1 - the forum is getting very cluttered.
What's a webos?

Thx
Also, could we delete/ move/ un-sticky the firesale threads? Its over, we all know the only way to get one now is through bestbuy with an HP purchase.
I agree aswell I'm sticking with webOS for the moment and its getting hard to find the right thred's.

Bump.
We could really use webOS and Android sub folders.

I wonder why there isn't a section for the phone now that it has been announced..
It's hard to develop on a phone when it's not released yet.

don't need to be actively developing on it to setup the section that will inevitably be created. Will give people a chance to become acquainted, and a formal place to discuss the phone.
I'll be there!!! Specs's look waaaayyyyyy better than the GN, and we'll still get ICS before the actual "update". So I'm in!

Well.. there is a Razr and Galaxy Nexus section.. only reason I asked.
That's true. Maybe the admins will make a section for it soon, just give it time. It's such a big phone, it's nearly impossible they'll neglect to put it up soon-ish
android central's got their rezound section up...just sayin

Its a borderline generic tablet. Did u expect there to be devs on this working night and day? Not tryna be rude just saying. They are nice tabs for the price i might add.

Slatedroid.com has a pretty active pandigital Modding community. They don't currently have a specific section for the star, but if you search for it you'll find discussion of the device and there are tools there made for similar pandigital devices that seem to work on the star. Good luck!
Thanks for the help both of you and yes I like it very much. And I am a developer and not at all new to android systems. Also I didnt expect anyone to be working on it at all even I was just asking.
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A

While I appreciate the sentiment, his question is CLEARLY related to development and it wouldn't hurt (IMO) to leave it in here.
And it seems to me you'd WANT to encourage new devs by supplying them with good info.
RootzWiki has broken news that they have a leaked official 4.0 for the ATT SGSII Skyrocket.
Interesting fact: build date is March 14.
Good news for us... I can only hope so. Just wanted to share this little tidbit with the SGSII world.

yeah I seen that earlyer I wonder how much it will help us though...

This. It Is of no use to us.
.
The skyrocket isn't anything like our I777. This doesn't help at all.

Useless comment is useless.
Where did I say it would help?
Give a bit of insight into Samsung development progress of current gen phones in then ICS relm. Just a bit of interesting news, welcome to the GENERAL forum.
Don't hate just to hate.
just how I said a months ago, Skyrocket and Vivid are getting ICS before the i777, the source release helped but still not a fully functional.

Nobody hates you, they and I just hate useless thread.
If the article said something about the ATT i777, then it is a good news, however, it's all about the i727. Absolutely have nothing to do with this forum.
"Give a bit of insight into Samsung development progress of current gen phones in then ICS realm"

In other news: redundancy is redundant.

And we're already aware the ****rocket got an ICS leak that was useless to us. Thus this thread is useless because it's redundant - the OP is yet another person who broke the XDA rules and posted without searching. The ****rocket ICS leak has already been discussed numerous times in other threads, it is NOT news and does NOT justify creating yet another new thread so that you can get "omg I have my own thread on XDA!!!" cred.
We're about a week out of kernel sources, and we already have ICS in a better state than that leak. The only things that remain are polishing and NFC, and the polishing part would be required even if we'd gotten official ICS at the same time as the I9100 - it simply takes time to do a proper kernel on a new source base for a completely new Android base.
NFC may require an official I777 ICS release, or maybe just a bit of hacking to get the M250S/K stuff working on I777. If I can get the M250 stuff working on I777, there's a good chance I can get it working on CM9 at that point too.
Redundant thread is redundant.
Closed thread is closed.
