Is there a way to allow the camera app to use the flash even on low battery? I'm running unnamed 1.0.3 if that helps.

I used Advanced Memory Killer on my Hero, but wonder if it makes sense to use any on SGS2.

You just don't need it anymore.
Thanks a lot, guys. I'm asking because i'm a bit worried about the battery consumption while the phone is not used. I had much better results with Hero with 18-month old battery.

System panel paid version with monitoring enabled is what I use to track which apps if any are using CPU. Its the best tool by far for this.
How can I determine whats sucking my Battery in Miui? Is there a helpful app or setting? Using test build 8
I'd like to keep it. It is snappy and beautiful.

There are 2 apps I've used. Spare Parts and CPU Spy.
I found a good one after all and was able to control some hogs. Android Assistant breaks it down nicely.

Streaming as in Netflix or what? Check brightness settings, make sure it is turned up and autobrightness is not on.
No in general lit dims itself
Then the brightness wont work without voodoo

Streaming what exactly? And try reflashing rom, kernel, etc... kinda hard to understand your problem. You could be streaming a lot of different things.
HBO GO runs fine for me.

I have my battery display selected as percent but it won't switch to it. It stays on the battery icon. I have tried fixing permissions and rebooting multiple times.
Currently running jokersax's 1.1.3 2d fixed CM9.

yes
plus one.. did the exact same thing. put it to % and it doesn't change anything.
glad it's not just me.
Its a bug in the ROM. I'm no dev but its more than likely on the CM9 side of things so you will have to wait for the people who developed CM9 to fix it. I've been using the Beautiful Battery Disc widget from the market. Works pretty well.

Is this the one you are referring to? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.moblynx.cameraics&hl=en
Yeah, that's the one...I donated and use the ICS+ version. The app has been updated and now includes burst mode. It's does a decent job at reducing the shutter lag. It's still there, but much improved.

Is the lag in the shutter or is it just a lag in the shutter sound?
I use many camera apps actually, but my two favorite are ICS Camera, and Fast Burst Camera, which is fantastic. Zero shutter lag when using that.
