are you using CM7 custom ROM ?
you could try google: cyanogenmod 7 google apps since I'm not allow to post links ...
or ask you ROM's main developer - usually post in update thread
cheers
If you flashed with CM7, the thread includes the google apps as a seperate download link.
Thanks

When I download .zip files through different websites, they download as .htm files instead. I am not sure if this is a settings issues. Is there anyway I can get the browser to download in the .zip format?
Nope, it's something I have had since my first android phone. Changing user agents doesn't fix it either. You mean file-hosting sites right? Because it aaaaalwaaaays happens at those damn sites
The file browser is not responsible for the actual format of the file that is downloaded, but it is possible that it's misinterpreting the file due to how it is sent from the web server.
When this happens, have you tried renaming the file from .htm to .zip?
I just tried it and it said something like no program to open to file. Yes it's from file hosting sites.

Typical problem with file hosting sites even on Windows file sent as html .

Go to market and get "download all files", works like a charm.

What??? You are talking about something different. I'm talking about outside of the market.

Opera mini doesn't support flash.
For me the built in browser suffices.

Thanks.
How do I unflash gapps? Someone recommended I installed it so I did and now I have 2 of some apps and gmail force closes. Everything worked fine before I flashed it so now I'm wondering, how do I unflash it?
Remove the apk files of gapps from /system/app
I suggest clearing data of them before deleting apks.
Root uninstaller
Are you using the latest version (for 2.3.5/2.3.6/2.3.7) ?

I opened the gapps.rar and checked the apps in it then removed them one by one using root explorer. Had some problems after removing a few so I flashed them back and now everything works.
