I wish to know if there's a mod/setting or any other way to be able to minimze the window of incoming call when it occurs.
I find myself getting calls but not wish to answer/reject but just let it ring so the other side wont know im ignoring him, but pressing home button wouldnt work.
Press power button will turn off the screen and stop ringing (for you, not other side).
Turn your phone that screen looks down. Before that make sure you tick option in sensor option, its so cool...i make it that way

the problem is that I dont want a way for ignoring a call,
I want a way to be able to remove the "on top" caller window.
When someone calls and i dont wish to answer, but lets say...Im navigating,
so I cant see the navigation window because the dialer is on top, and no matter what i do, unless I ignore the call, i cant minimize it.
thats the issue im looking for solution, not for ignoring calls

Hi everybody,
I too bought this amazing smartphone and I'm definitely happy about it.
I've only a small question: is there any way to put "recent calls" as first page when pressing the "phone-button"?
I mean, pressing the telephone symbol I always get to the keypad, even though I closed it at recent calls.
Is it possible to make it memorize where it was when closed (like running in the background) or to decide which window to open first?
It is getting annoying having to move from the keypad to recent calls each and every time I open it
Thanks in advance
I use call log shortcut (nexmon) for this, install it from Android market and put it instead of phone

Thanks, this was a frustration for me too. Never thought of looking for an app to fix this
Incidentally, is there anyone around with an idea as to how you could remap the 'search' key to perform like a 'call' button (which would also give us the call log)? I still miss having the hardware call button.
Thanks
I'll try with that!
simple and perfect. Thanks!

Pull via adb or using root explorer file thunder_keypad.kl in system/usr/keylayout.
Search in there for search key code and replace the action "search" with CALL.
Save files and reboot.
Now when you press the search button, you have the call log opened ^^
Hi everyone, is there a way to trigger native lockscreen by soft? By example with tasker. Exist a direct access to lt? Thanks anyway.
Short press the power button?

hi, thanks for the reply, but i need to do by soft.
What i really need is to solve a problem that i have with my headset bluetooth.
My x10 is in my pocket, a call get in, i pick up from my headset bluetooth, i hang up and the screen dont go off and then activate anything.
With tasker i do that when i hang up launch an application, (im using right know GoTo lockscreen that activate but a link) but cost my a lot of battery and i dont want to use anymore. for that im looking the way by soft to start lockscreen or switch screen off by soft, is the same.
Thanks
yeah mine does that aswell its not just the bluetooth, even on the native handfree kit it leaves the screen on. the best way to do this is to put hand in pocket then press power button
well i found a way to solve this, with tasker, there are a trigger that works when a call is finish. but tasker run an application when a call is ended and this is what i searching, the application that launch the native lockscreen.
is it just me or do you find it annoying that it take 3 clicks just to answer a call!
1.unlock phone (im using widget locker and that takes me straight to the phone app yet i cant answer directly from there =/)
2.swipe down notification bar
3. click the green button to answer
is there a way to make the phone apk come up like a popup or like normal and unlock the screen and full screen?
i tried using dialerone but that didnt ever turn on =/
any suggestions ?

It must be due to widgetlocker as I simply hit the answer button when I get a call.
most android phones, when you get a call, pick up your phone and swipe the answer button, and say hello. not sure what you've got going on to make that so difficult

yep you were right about the widget locker. but i fixed it so it shows incoming texts and calls.
i did it by opening the widget locker app > clicking the phones menu button > Settings > Popups > unticking hide sms & incoming calls.
you should be able to pick up using the home button, no idea how widget locker behaves but with the stock locker I can answer that way (assuming I enabled the home button in settings)

There's a setting in WidgetLocker that allows you to answer the phone calls without the need to unlock the phone, it's called Hide incoming call, make sure it isn't green.
On my EVO and EVO Shift I could set the voice mail notification to "None" so that it did not make a noise EVERY time I got VM. However on my new 3D that option is missing and only allows me to change the sound, no option to turn it off.
I need help please! As my friends and family get really irritated at me when I turn VM off completely.
TIA

hmm, interesting. You're correct, I couldn't find a way to shut the sound off either. As you stated, there was no selection for 'none'. I was unable to find anything in the regular phone settings either. Perhaps you could use an app such as ring tone trimmer or something, and create a ringtone which is just silence, and then select that? I'll try that and see if it works, give me a few.

I couldn't find it either. Hopefully the idea you have works.

Okay, I got it to work. Download an app called 'ringdroid.' Then choose 'record new'. Use the sound recorder, and record 10 seconds or so of complete silence, then stop it. Then choose 'use this recording'. Then it brings you to a screen where you can edit the ringtone, but you don't need to do that. Just hit the save button. At that point, change the Type to Notification, instead of ringtone. Change the name to something like "silence" or whatever, and hit save. Then it'll ask you to make it the default notification sound, choose no. Then go back into your voicemail app, and go to the settings>notifications>select sound. Then look in the list, and the ringtone you made will be in there. Choose the silent ringtone you created, and you should be good to go.

Hi,
When I receive a call while already on a call, and want to answer, I get the following options:
- Put <number> on hold
- End call with <number>
This means having to first swipe to bring up this menu and then select. More often that not, I miss the incoming call while doing this.
All my earlier phones with physical answer buttons allowed a default option to answer the call while putting the current call on hold. I know there's no option to enable this on the S3. Was hoping to see if there's an app that does that.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Me too I hate this behaviour. If you install a custom rom base 4.2.1 and higher you will have a different menu or install a Cyanogenmod rom. I recommand Omega rom 44.1.
