Hi all,
Does anyone know how to route the audio to a Bluetooth device when the HDMI cable/connector is plugged in, as opposed to the audio going to whatever is plugged in at the end of the HDMI cable.
TIA
OH MY GOD
NO ONE REPLIED???
I really need this.. IT WILL BE AWESOME!!!!!!
I need to make it so that the headphone jack on the dock will still work when the hdmi is connected.

Just got my HDMI connector and I want to play the video through it, but the audio through my Bluetooth speakers. It does not seem to allow me to do this. Even though I connect the Bluetooth speakers, all audio comes through the tinny speakers on my monitor.
Has anyone managed to get Bluetooth audio working when connected with the HDMI adaptor?
In the app, SoundAbout, I can use HDMI video with audio output to the Phone speaker and headphones. The only problem is when connecting HDMI, the phone seems to disable the Bluetooth adapter.
I am guessing this is done so that the audio will go through HDMI. They don't ever expect you to use HDMI video with Bluetooth A2DP audio.
I am also trying to do the same. The only solution that I came up with was to route the TV's audio output to a Bluetooth transmitter which will send the audio to the Bluetooth speakers. I haven't yet tried that solution to comment on the audio quality or its sync with the movie.
you can check out the transmitter at amazon, search: "TaoTronics Wireless Portable Bluetooth Stereo Music Transmitter"

Can it be done?
When I connect via aux cable with my car nothing happens when I press previous/next on the car radio.
Thanks
Probably bc the standard 3.5mm headphone jack is only for transmitting audio, not to control anything.
This should be possible if you have a radio with USB input for flash drives or ipods but not over an aux cable. Perhaps you could try to find an aux cable with the track forward/reverse built in to the cable? I know I've seen headphones with it but not sure about the cable alone..
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
I had an aux in fitted in my car and was told the next/previous would work. When it didnt they said it would only work on a ipod. Interesting comment about the cable - anyone able to confirm whether the headphones lead is different?
To be honest, with the swipe action on the music player, this doesnt really bother me as its easy to do this whilst driving. However, I'd like to switch to another music app given the random function doesnt work properly....
I definitely know where youre coming from, I've always used an ipod for music, but want to use my mt4g now (or try to).
I messed around today and here's what I've came up with:
with the aux cable (standard 3.5mm headphone cable) you only have control of the tracks on the device, not with the radio's controls. you might be able to find cable with seek buttons built in (like some headphones) to make it easier but I've never actually seen one.
If your radio has a usb input on it you can connect your phone via usb, mount the sd card (as if using mass storage on a comp) and your radio should detect and read it as a flash drive. going this route your phone will charge, but you'll ONLY be able to control tracks from the radio head unit and you wont be able to listen to Slacker Radio or Pandora or other similar apps via usb. another plus is that the processing is done by the headunit, thus you could use your headunits random function.
The last option (that I think is king) is if you have a bluetooth enabled headunit, the HD2 can stream audio over bluetooth (a2dp) to your radio. You could then pair and stream music, Slacker, Pandora, etc and maintain control on the device (I would prefer control on device and radio, but i dont see this happening) wirelessly. One huge plus to me is that you can charge it while keeping fully functionality with only one cable.
I cant find a cable with anything other than volume controls, but I wonder if either of these options would help

I've been using a BT Venturi Mini for about a year now and it works perfect. You can change streamed track/ stop start and it has no wires. So no mess, best investment ever. Plus, you can pick up calls/ voicemail via car stereo too.
Sound quality excellent, especially when you increase BT pool bitrate via HD2 tweak.
Perhaps if someone modded the headphones that come with the HD2 so that they go from 3.5 to 3.5 with the controls in the middle of the wire to use ?
How can use usb audio
I take usb audio adapter and i tried but it did not work
you can't...htc mega does not suport usb headphones...you can only listen to music with headphones thru the jack output
^ Agreed. +1
or bluetooth headset
I have a monitor with HDMI input but it doesn't have a internal speaker.
I want to get sound via my analog external speaker.
What can i do for this?
Thanks.
If your monitor doesn't have an analog audio output, AFAIK it's not possible to get an audio signal from Atrix's audio connector.
A good option may be a bluetooth AD2P stereo audio connection (the audio would out through bluetooth not HDMI) but you would need something which supports it.
Sry for my crappy english.
There are some adapter boxes and switches which do this, I know some Xbox users who needed a similar thing but it wasn't that interesting to me at the time, so I can only say look it up in xbox forums, sorry.
headphone out would be cheap and easy, but and extra thing to plug in.
Just plugged my external speaker to 3.5" audio output and it works.
I did not think at all thats so easy
Currently running cm7. Did some searches, so my NT has WiFi but no Bluetooth, no power to USB so no micro USB dongle.
Stereo bluetooth dongle possible but bulky and requires separate charging.
WiFi speakers possible but can't find any.
Use app to controll another android using WiFi but requires second device.
I would love to be able to use the nt as wireless audio player.
Any ideas anyone?
You might check out the MediaHouse UPnP/DLNA app in the Play Store. Is this the capability you're looking for?
interesting but not exactly
My plan was to use the NT as a remote control for the livivg room audio. Where the audio is stored is not a problem (SD card or network is fine). The simple solution would be some Bluetooth speakers and play using the NT doing most of the work however no Bluetooth on NT makes this hard. I have cats who like chewing cables so stereo HiFi inst great, a rechargeable WiFi speaker would be awesome but all wireless speakers seem to be Bluetooth
I might look into the dongle idea, not USB but 3.5mm audio to Bluetooth dongle, its bulky but probably simplest.

Did you look at app I sugested? There are DLNA WiFi speakers -- do an Internet search for " dlna speakers wireless" to see many options.
Hi everyone. My TV supports audio output to bluetooth device.
Is there a way to use Android phone as bluetooth headset? The phone will receive bluetooth audio from TV and I could listen using my wired 3.5 mm headset plugged into my phone?
Thanks!
