hi guys...
i just found another phone launched in the UK (now exclusively by 3 UK), its the xperia live with walkman.... seems a better choice tha xperia mini..??
it has 3.2 inch screen and same processor, bravia, xloud, walkman feature built in and also dual camera.. which is not in mini but it is in mini pro... and much less the price than both of the fones..
any thoughts please share..

The new update to Live with Walkman got us the adreno drives, what do they mean bout that?
Live is surely a better choice.....
Had only I bought a mobile a few months later...
Mine z Xperia X8. Camera functionality is the only main problem, wanted to have a better cam with autofocus, n this LIVe iz better with less price too....

Xperia won the comparison in everyway, a better with proper flash supported 1Ghz processor, QWERTY keyboard, bravia engine, Exmor R with HD recording, the list is just keep going on. Gio is a no match for Mini Pro. =)

Well, if your current phone has already been sold and you need a new one _now_, I guess can't choose an xperia mini pro 'cause they aren't out yet (to the best of my knowledge).
By the way, I like the phone too a lot. Both it and the Xperia ray. tough choice, neither should be prohibitively expensive, and both have very decent specs and small size. The choice is between higher resolution, thinner and better display (colors) or hardware keyboard

Its not a budget fone,it is slightly highly priced.
Stretch you budget...Go for HD2..Cant stretch budget then buy used one from ebay...you can roll whatever you want to..it support all most everything.

OMG!!! His right!!! In my country, HD2 orginal price is $650, but used one is only $320 cuz they consider old... Same as the fone im using Optimus... Orginal price $350, in a used phone shop, only 4 $200...
Well atleast in India I feel the motorola defy is the best phone under Rs15000 in the mid-high segment.
Its got great dev support,got cm7 and officially supports miui too. Plus better procy+gpu which can eaily be overclocked to 1.2Ghz.

LG Optimus One has HVGA resolution but Galaxy Y is QVGA
The Camera is only 2 MP while u got Optimus One with 3.15 MP....
Smaller Screen...
Goodness of having that phone is:

also galaxy Y doest not have adreno gpu.......
but its ok to buy this phone because of its low cost
as its way better than any other phones available in the market as of now
And the,small 1200 mah battery will last u only a day or less...
in place of Galaxy Y i will advices Dell XCD 35 ..only 8.3k
The andreno 200 gpu of our o1 is missing in galaxy y ..
its resolution is 240*320 while o1 has 320*480,.
.The galaxy y has 133ppi (pixels per inch)while our lovable o1 has 180 ppi,
our o1 has a powerful 1500mah battery against 1200mah battery in gy..
Definitely cheap but I wouldn't go for it cos optimistic I available at some places for 9k..
However the most attractive feature of galaxy y is official 2.3.5,832mhz process with FLASH SUPPORT!

I testet it with my mini pro and it doesnt work for me.
Every beats headset or other kind of headphones with controltalk (which is designed for ipod,iphone,ipad) will not work on all xperia 2011 devices, it will say that the accesory is not supported. Monster offer versions without control talk that will work universally

i plan to sell my xperia mini pro to buy the new htc one v with beats headset giveaway.
i know some of you may think im crazy because the specs of mini pro and one v are almost the same but right now, the one v supposed to costs 488$ but theres a special offer makes it $388. $100 differences. and i found out that my sk17i small screen doesnt really worked for me
tell me if you disagree im so sad too i will leave my sk17i i have none problem with it except small screen and its a great phone!
One v seems to be a good unit. ICS out of box.

just checked out the store. samsung galaxy w price has dropped like $50 differences but $40 differences between the galaxy w and one v.

Yup I can confirm it too. Tested it today. My mini pro recognised the headset just like any ordinary headset.
Yeah man the bass are really good it depends on the music quality though.
About one v, no I haven't seen any one using the phone yet because the phone just came out to the market. I tested the one v today the built quality are really solid but I still think for a 2012 my phone should be at least dual core already or 1.2-1.5 ghz.
So im not sure yet. Will check out the Samsung galaxy w soon

Both phones here have the same price.
I like the looks of both phones, my hands arent big. I like J big screen, im ok with 3.5 but what worries me that its 16:9 aspect ratio, wich means its longer and less wider then analog 3.5 inch screen size phones (iphone, galaxy ace).
J doesnt have such good camera as i see in reviews and only 1ghz CPU.
Despite the fact that U doesnt have mSD expansion slot, im ok with that, if i need more gbs i might just use OTG cable with usb stick.
So what is your suggestion?
maybe some of you already had expierience with both phones?
how is performance of both phones compared to each other? video playback? dvix video playback (with decoders installed)?
Go for Xperia j. At least the chip set has sufficient sources for devs to port the latest os. Users like me who are using Xperia p/u/go/sola are struggling to get a working jellybean from coz of poor support from the chipset maker St Ericsson. So if u care about having the latest os go for Xperia j but if u want a better camera and display and an extra core go for Xperia u

Check gsm arena user comments ... i've read that many users are complaining of lag after update to JB in case of xperia j.
Go for xperia j you will get official jellybean along with xloud bravia engine that won't present in custom jb roms...
Go for xperia U. Im using it and am loving it. First off its much better looking than J. The LED bar at the bottom really adds to its beauty. Also the specs of U are much better than that of J. You will have trouble running even slightly heavy applications and games on the J

That was to be expected of a single core 1 Ghz phone with an adreno 200 GPU. My 3 year old xperia x10 had the same specs and I had trouble running GB on it

Leave Xperia U/J and get Xperia go.
On Xperia U you will get dual core while Xperia J you will get latest OS. But on Xperia go you get both and extra! Waterproof and durable phone!

I suggest you to wait a little. Collect money and buy Xperia go. Atleast Xgo have brighter future get JB update.

If you are happy with ICS then i would suggest HTC ONE V.It has more development than XU.
Get HTC desire X.. You can buy it from eBay at cheaper prices or HTC Amaze 4g old but better specs and looks and development. U can also get Xperia P for same price.

Now another question, have any of you used LG L7? how does it compare to Xperia J?
go for U, dont just get a phone because of jelly bean. ICS is so good enough. i have U, and my brother has J, and believe me or not his phone is so slow compare to mine.

I was thinking about changing my Sony xperia U because i need a phone with a bigger screen. I was thinking about the new sony xperia L. The only problem i think is that the L has is 228ppi for a 4,3" screen . What do you guys think? Any other option for a 4,3" that doesn't cost too much (300 euro)? Thank you!

I am in Italy so its not possible buy xolo or canvas. Sony xperia S is a great phone but don't like the idea of integrated battery especially if i am going to buy it used.

The XPERIA S(LT26i) does have a so called non-removable battery, but it's no different to any other battery[As I see it]. In fact I have this bizarre idea I'm working on that the XPERIA S battery is the same as the BA800 battery in the XPERIA V(LT25i).
I have a BA800 battery designed for an XPERIA V(LT25i) ordered, which I'm going to swap out with the original. If that works then there is the Mugen Power 1800mAh battery designed for the XPERIA V(LT25i) which would(maybe) fit in the XPERIA S too. If my cunning plan works and the batteries are interchangeable, then other than having to remove a back plate and a few screws(Why does Sony do this????) it's no different than any other battery. I had considered NFC antenna as a possible reason the battery was bespoke to the phone, but guess I'll find out soon enough. :fingers-crossed:

Native HDMI, Ability to use USB hub, keyboard/mouse with Sony DK10 dock with monitor display(HDMI) at the same time. 32GB of 10MB+ read/write storage, overall smaller and lighter phone with higher density pixel screen, cheaper price by will over USD100+, 12MP camera and XDA Developer DoomLoRD indicates he'll create a JB 4.1.2 Kernel for the XPERIA S(LT26i)

What about huawei p1xl? In spain costs 270€ or a gnex in ebay
Thank you all of you. I think the best solution is the sony xperia SP if costs something more. I checked also some HTC phones with similar characteristics but the prices are really high!

HTC phones are very costly.XSP looks like the successor of XS..so worth of buying it as it looks amazing.

If you are from India or anywhere get either Xperia L Or lg l9
Micromaxx makes good phones, but the build quality is [email protected] and after sales is the worst it's almost non existance I would suggest XOLO Q800 any day
