My buddy busted his screen but the phone still worked fine, a few weeks later he dropped it and the screen went completely dead. He ordered a new screen and digitizer and put it back together, the phone turns on and appears to be fine but the screen is super sensitive (acts weird at times) and the touch buttons do not respond at all. Clicking apps and such work fine but the 4 buttons do nothing. Any ideas?

Looks like HW issue.
i think thats the conclusion im coming to as i didnt do any thing to before it broke,
If you're not rooted, take it to Service center.
If you're rooted and have a custom rom, they wont accept warranty. Try to open the phone and see if the connector to the screen got loose or something.
Hope it helps...

Hi,
I installed a screen protector that used this fluid when installing the protector (you spray it on the screen and the protector and smush them together). I got a lot of the fluid inside the phone when it was on (I took battery cover off and it was dripping through). Now the phone is acting weird, I am randomly getting USB connected notice, the whole screen has flipped sideways and I cant get it to flip back, when I try to turn off screen flipping the button doesn't do anything (I actually cant turn it on the button just doesn't do anything). Its says media scanning sometimes randomly, and I get this wierd screen after pressing the unlock button from a locked state, a screen Ive never seen before, it has like buttons for home and some others, and when I press home it takes me to my unlock code. Its just acting bizarre. Anyone have any ideas what is going on?
Thanks
If it was dripping through the phone It probably fried mutliple things inside the phone. Hence the problems your having

Put it in a container with rice or some bread. It will extract the moisture. Don't plug it in until you get it dry. Good luck.

I decided to move this thread here in hope of more experts seeing this.
I broke my screen and digitizer of my note 2, and I replaced it with a new one. Upon booting up I noticed that the phone keeps vibrating as if I was pressing one of the buttons, and when I tried to open apps they immediately stopped and returned to the home screen.
I then charged my phone fully and the problem disappeared until just now when the same problem came back.
Is there any touchscreen expert here that would know what could be the possible cause? And secondly, is there a way to disable the right button all together in android?
Edit: if I keep my finger on the touchscreen and use the spen, it doesn't bug at all.

Hi,
My idiot friend dropped her phone, and after replacing the screen the first time it worked fine until she dropped it again and now the digitizer is unresponsive,
I have tried taking it apart and cleaning the connections, I am able to get into the camera app using the dedicated button, but only the on screen back button works the home or menu doesn't work, which make me Think that replacing the digitizer may fix the problem

My phone's LCD was broken, and I wanted to change it. I ordered a new LCD with assembly and connected phone to this one (changed old front with this one). First of them worked well, but was broken after one month, I was my fault. But it already works, touch works very good. In second and third one, after installing touch not worked. But I put it some minutes, then it started recognizing touches. Worked for more than a week, and yesterday night my phone turned off because of battery. Today I charged it, turned on and now touch not works again. When I press to screen hardly or press in somewhere from the back it recognizes touches. What can be problem? I searched about it but all results were about problems with broken glass, but my problem is different.
Thanks...
