[Q] Galaxy Tab 10.1 "un-roots" itself - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone have a solution to this?
I'm not sure if it's actually "un-rooted" or some bug with my firmware.
Everytime before launching a root app, I MUSTgo into superuser and update the binary and update anyway although it's the latest binary.
Then my root apps and root checker work and verify that I have root.
However, for some odd reason, after some period of time, my root apps don't work and root checker reports no root.
So I have to repeat the above process again.
I am running Stock Firmware, the latest one from Samsung,
PDA:KI2/PHONE:KI1/CSCKH1(XSP)
I'm from Singapore(maybe it affects the stock ROM I'm not sure)
Any insight to this would be great.

[SOLVED] Root Checker shows root, but apps don't gain root access. why?

Hi, i am a complete noob.
I recently rooted my phone without flashing a new kernel using the cwm recovery mod busybox installer on this site. However, since then i have updated my firmware over kies but not a full update, just a small one. Now although root checker says i have root, my root apps can't gain root access. Would really appreciate any help oli could get on this matter.
Running XWLPI on my phone. Any more info needed i can provide but dont know what is required.

EDIT: The link in the first reply worked, I used the unroot all file to clear everything and then the signed superuser only file to root. worked like a charm

[Q] Supersu and su file still present after mj7 update but cant obtain root.

So I updated to 4.3 before knowing the method of saving root. Thing is the su binary is still showing in system/xbin and supersu is still installed as a system app. Even though those things are present I cannot obtain root or update binary. I assume this is from su binary not being compatible with 4.3. My question is can I do anything to correct this or a way to obtain root. Partially it would be nice to obtain root but also my phone still boots as being custom due to these things.

From my understanding u need to wait for the developers to find a root method for 4.3.

Old root does not stick once updated even though binary's are still there. Same happened to me and I also kept getting an annoying Knox security notice. I flash the clean MJ7 ODIN and took my phone back to stock until a new root method is accomplished. When I flashed it got rid of the knox warning and put my boot screen back to regular but it took a a few reboots for this to happen.

[Q] S3 refuses to root after 4.3 update

I previously ran rooted 4.1.2 with Siyah Kernel on my i9300. I flashed 4.3 through Odin (after resetting flash counter and making the phone brand new) and have discovered I can remedy many of the problems with a different kernel. Simple enough, I thought.
I have tried four times to root my S3 with the same CF-Auto root as I used before and two others I downloaded. The red pirate Android man appears with all the usual text about installing superSU and such, then my phone reboots and should have root access, no?
Unfortunately, I can never achieve root. Root Checker says I don't and superSu (which doesn't install during the flash) says it can't alter the binary. Any suggestions as to how I can achieve root without reverting to 4.1.2?
Cheers.

Root apps denied root access

So, after the OS upgrade to 4.3 from 4.2.2, I've discovered that some applications that requires root access deny my system root, YES I've checked that my device is rooted, I have the stock kernel, stock firmware but I've rooted it via Odin3 with CF-AUTO ROOT, and yes the operation was successful. Now, the apps that I'm talking about is Gamecih app and all the other apps like that, and Screen recording apps, all of then denied my root. I've tried wifi kill app (that app works perfectly). So what could be the problem? The app or the OS version itself? Please find me a solution to fix this god dam problem, I'm using the Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE (GT-i9305) device.
You need to re-root your phone with 4.3 root script, and then install supersu..
i think the best way is flash philZ Recovery though odin.. good luck

Apps still think my phone is rooted after I installed stock firmware. How to fix?

I flashed a new Factory image (Oreo), but apps think my phone is still rooted. Using the Fx filesystem browser I checked /System/bin and find no trace of su or supersu, and I have no /System/xbin. If I do install SuperSU and try to run it, it says my phone is *not* rooted. OTA updates are working.
I have some crucial apps I cannot run, because they think my phone is rooted.
What could cause them to think this? What can I do to fix it?
Note I have an unlocked bootloader and TWRP recovery ROM. Could that be causing this?
Apps that I am having trouble with are AirWatch (which my company requires to access company e-mail) and the ADP Portal app.
I have Oreo 8.0.0 on a Nexus 6p.
Any guidance would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Bob
