I've had the Minecraft apk from a friend that bought it. Now with the sale, I was going to buy it myself but it shows as Purchased and it doesn't even try to buy it(says cant download app wasn't purchased). I'm suspecting this is because Titanium Backup Market doctor. I even tried a full wipe of the ROM and no change. Older Market shows it normally, but the price isn't right(it's the normal price, not the 10 cent sale). Even the web based Market shows as Purchased. Can anyone help? I would really love to buy it
Yes my credit card works fine, I bought SwiftKey and Fieldrunners 2 minutes ago.
Exact same thing is happening for me with Soundhound (paid). I uninstalled the non-market version, and it shows purchased on both the Market website & app. I just tried uninstalling Market updates, force stop, clear data, reboot.... and the market still shows "purchased".
I also previously used TB Market Doctor. I've already unlinked the app using Market Doctor.
EDIT: I guess Google heard me. Now it's showing not purchased on the web & phone. Now I purchased it and it's working. Thanks Larry! (I think?)

I have just logged in to my Android Market account and used the "report a problem" link next to the three apps I am having trouble with to report this to Google. Fingers crossed they can reset/unlikely them so that I can buy the genuine apps in the ten pence sale.
Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda premium
I don't know, that means they answer and fix it in less than 6-8 hours. Let me know if you're successful as I'm interested in fixing this problem if it happens again.
damn! got the same thing happening with Beautiful Widgets...grrr!
I would also like to know how to resolve this...
I want to purchase Flick Golf, but I can't download it because I already "purchased" it
I also have this issue, and have been trauling the internet for days for a solution, of which there appears to be none at present.
I have also used the report problem link but have had no response as of yet.
I had the same problem with adw launcher ex but I solved using my old phone that is running the 2.2.6 version of the market. I believe you don't strictly need an old phone to do it, maybe just downgrading the market could help .
It didn't show the app as purchased but with the original price (2.33€ or something like that), but when I went on to check out, it showed me 0,12€ (0,12€ and not 0,10€ for, as I read in the email I received from google, italian IVA, the same as VAT) and so I completed the order.
I hope this fixed the problem forever.

I managed to get the old market on my Sensation, find the application I want and it now let's meet buy... But, I click buy, then accept permissions, and the checkout where it shows my card number has a 'buy' button at the bottom, but no sale price... Is there a further screen after this, or has Google pulled the discount?

Just answered my own question, clicked buy on Endomondo Prof and was charged full price, not the sale offer. Oh well, it was only only 69p anyway.
At least I know what to do if any other apps come up in the sale. Cheers fellas.

I tried that method, even downgraded to DI18(Samsung Epic 4g), but my Credit Card is greyed out
but i purchased other apps recently with the same card
Damn it, I completely forgot about Android's refund feature. I would've tried getting Minecraft with the old market even though it said the old price.. well maybe it will get cheap again(like a last day finale)
I had the same problem when trying to purchase Shazam yesterday. I previously had the app installed (a cracked one), but I removed it before purchasing. When I purchased, it said it went through, but when I went to download it, it says I havent purchased it. I emailed google, they said they were having problems and that it should be fixed in a few hours. They emailed me back and told me it was fixed, but it was still showing as purchased in my market. Now that the sale is over, i guess I'm screwed out of it now.

cool got the 50gb too , just installed box app on my xps and got a popup about it after creating the account
Is there actually a Desktop application for this that integrates with Finder/Explorer? It seems like you have to upgrade and pay a monthly fee to use the official one on Mac/Windows ... which kind of makes 50 GB useless.
maybe this gladinet thing would do the trick, although I only use my box account to backup things from my phone.

I had existing account with Box.net and once i downloaded the app and logged in from my Xperia S, it automatically upgraded my account to 50 GB... but box sync is still asking for upgrade...

Looks like it could be OK, but really would prefer something official. It turns out you can just mount it as a network drive https://support.box.com/entries/20359428-does-box-support-webdav-or-ftp-connections. This seems to work quite well, but since it is a network drive it is noticeably slower than SkyDrives implementation.
There is a max file size of 100 MB, so this doesn't actually seem to be that useful as a backup solution. If you are just backing up your phone then this is probably OK...but the other free solutions like Dropbox seem like better alternatives.

I an on the Xperia S in UK and got Box 50GB about 1 month ago. A mate got it yesterday so I don't know how its restricted but still working it seems
I got my yesterday. It was real late, so I opened up just to check if it was not broken etc.....
Then something occurred to me, my nexus 10 per-configured. At no time did I go through the initial setup as I would do for a new phone or other tablets. This out of the box tablet, unused by me, had all my emails synced, all my apps installed, and it even connected to my home wifi network without ever asking for the wep key ?
Is this normal ? Cause its very very creepy.

It defaults to checked I believe.
I had the option checked and my account wasn't linked.
which is fine because that's what I actually wanted.
Just think, that when they ship them preconfigured (which is hard to believe because that would mean someone has to unpack them and upload all the stuff) and the devices get stolen or "kidnapped" these people would get access to your google account
Google already knows everything about you... doesn't matter what you tick.
Yeah I've found lots of things creepy but also. I think knowing all my wifi passwords was pretty creepy cause those aren't something you really get to choose if Google saves... Google now seems to be affected by what I do on my android phone such as recent navigation paths show up as new cards on tablet.

I was a little disappointed that although I selected the option, mine hadnt been set up.
Wasn't disappointed long though cause I just unlocked and rooted it, which factory reset anyway.

It doesn't come pre-configured nor they unpack them and upload all the stuff. At the time of shipping the Serial Number is linked to your account you purchase from. Turning it on, it reads your Serial Number and configures it for your account.

I'm pretty sure that's not right. Because without Internet it couldn't do that, and I've seen Nexus 7s come out of the box configured before they got connected to Wifi.

Are you saying that Google has your WiFi password?
And it gives this password to their employees to pre-configure your device before shipment?
Imagine, the cost to Google, with the labor being so expensive in the USA, to open each box, take out the wrappings, configure your device, and wrap it again like a brand new unit, with plastics, tape around the box and so forth.
Boggles the mind.
Best regards,
K guys I'm gonna try something new to me: Voice of reason.
Maybe there's a special NFC code that wakes the device and has it connect to some WiFi that is nearby and configure then shut down. If that is the case, all they would need to do is have Samsung ship the devices in a state that would accept a NFC wake (could even be a special hardware wake circuit), scan the device to your order, and leave the box in a WiFi accessible location for an hour and it should all be able to have downloaded. No need for a greasy Google goon to touch your device or know your WiFi passkey. Samsung can seal the box, and Google can just shove info into your tablet from its database. G would never pay an army of people to unbox and play with a million tablets, I am certain.
Do keep in mind that any data that Google has in their database is recoverable - i.e., your privacy being safe just because someone didn't have an opportunity to scribble your wpa2 key down is a naïve notion... Keep your digital life as private as you are comfortable with everyone knowing.

Just like above, or simply it logs on to someone's unsecured WiFi and configures the account based on the Serial Number as I have mentioned above.

As far as I remember if you don't uncheck the syncing options your WIFI password is stored in your google account when setting it up.
Happened to me twice with GB. Made me change the WIFI password.
This is just a heads up to anyone thinking about buying roam control. I purchased it a few weeks ago, then had to clear my rom and reinstall everything. Now I can't get it to reactivate through the verification process.
No response from emails I have sent the developer. I might push the issue with PayPal.

I've had that issue before. It took a day or so before my code was sent back. By any chance did you have the app backed up with Titanium Backup Pro? With the pro version you can restore your device id(that some app licenses are attached to) which gets wiped on fresh installs. I had this issue 2x's with Roam control and went ahead and purchased Titanium Pro. Haven't had an issue since.

I do have titanium backup, but my backups were over written by the time I realized rc wasn't going to play move with rom flashing. It's a shame too since other apps don't seem to have this problem with device ids.

Yeah Roam Control is the only one that does that for me. I assume it's because it's purchased outside of the Play Store.
I just bought Roam Control on 5/28/13 using PayPal and the activation code I was sent (automated system) does not work. I have sent TWO e-mails to the developer without a reply! !
I have to say I have two codes and neither are working. Just bought one for a different phone 5/29/13 and I'm not getting any response either.
Add me to the mix. Unresponded emails. Working in the past now since updating ROM, no-go!!
Huh, that's sad to see. I bought Roam Control last year (or longer, don't remember how far back exactly.) and messed with it for a few days. This was right after Google started the 15min preview crap.
I emailed the developer, explaining I had forgotten about the 15min preview cap and that the app wasn't working for me, saying that roaming was getting exactly the same amount of signal strength in my area, defeating the purpose of roaming, and he gladly refunded me the next day and explained how he understood and how he doesn't really like the 15min cap either.
Hope you guys get sorted and he's just on vacation or something.
I have used it when I was with sprint and I can still use it when I use CDMA but I bought it through the android market. Bought it almost 2 1/2 years ago.

Geeze....seeing so many of you guys having so many issues with getting activation codes ans whatnot I just went and double archived on 2 different email accounts the last one I got since obviously I can't rely on getting another one from the dev.
The codes aren't working is the issue. So if you flash new roms you're code will no longer work when you reinstall the roam control app.

Oh.....I've also had that issue in the past too. It's nothing new really(except for you guys that haven't happen before). Got it working eventually even though it was a total PITA. It's really just so frustrating that you'll NEVER get a response from the dev.

Hi,
Just bought a brand new Touchpad 64 GB. after created new sign-up, connected to Wi-Fi (no issue with connectivity to Internet).
after booted in, the Touchpad detects there are new updates, App Cat, Office, and few more. Tap on Update All, after downloaded each app to update, it shows 'Installation fails' or Update fails - all of 4 updates one by one. Therefore; it will not be able to install any additional from App cat, besides those that already installed by manufacturer.
Any one has this experience in their new Touchpad in recently? Maybe HP has completely discontinued the HP Touchpad services?
Any idea ?

Thanks it did work after changing the date back to Jul-01.
------------
I dual boot with Milaq CM10.1 nightly build. However, I still need to boot into WebOS from time to time, especially when I am on free Internet such at the Airport, Starbuck, McDonald, because only VPN in WebOS works (The VPN in Android CM does not work, it's a known issue. But the VPN in my Samsung Android works.)
Glad it worked for you man. I was getting frustrated with that one day too and I googled around and found out if you change the date back you should be able to download. Sucks that the support for webos is dying but there's suppose to be something by the Phoenix team ACL. The only thing bad about that is your going to pay well over $30 to get it and I mean its like all they're doing it for is because of the money. They reached well over their quota to get the project started. I know all other developers would be like donate to here but have the download for free because sometimes people ain't got the money at the time.
