Call of duty black ops headset - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Curious if anyone has already/could develop an app that would mimic the phone as being the black ops headset for the wii, I believe the real headset is called "headbanger headset".
I'm sure I'm not the only one who would use it, I just imagine not too many people considered this option.
I think this would be a great app since you could plug your phone into the usb on the wii, then use your bluetooth headset while playing and the game would think you had the hardware... so, whatdya think devs? Possible?

Control android media player from PC

I want to control the Media Player on my Nexus One from my PC. This is exactly the opposite of what is done by GMote. This will let me keep my Nexus One connected with speakers from my PC and still play songs on it. Searched a while in Google and XDA, but couldn't find one.

Purchased Phantom music control but it just allows you to control music from the lock screen, it didn't work on my GS2 and was very laggy
Looking for something like this as well. We have speakers built into our ceiling in our house and use my evo to play music all the time, being able to control the evo from far away w/ a laptop or another android phone would be awesome.
I'm looking for something like this too, any ideas?
some digging here, but i'm also looking for something like this... 2 years later, maybe someone find out something!

Atrix headsets

I have searched and found all kinds of conflicting information.
What is the story with the headset buttons and the atrix?
I have a headset that worked perfectly with my nexus one even with the stock player. With the atrix the phone takes over and the buttons only work to initiate a voice command.
Some third party apps such as winamp can get the play/pause to work.
So how do you get full music control on the atrix? If the answer is a new headset then why did mine work perfectly on the nexus one.
For full music control (not to mention audio quality) it would be best to use Stereo BT headphones, not a headset. http://goo.gl/ZiTpN
Hopefully there is a better way than BT. I really don't want to charge my headset.
worst part is that you can not received call with button on headsets.
as for music control...
do a market search for 'Headset Button Controller'
I know the button worked on my Atrix using the headphones that came with my Captivate for skipping songs and pausing. I don't know if I ever used it to recieve a call though.
I use Motorola SD9 HD's and all buttons on headset work. Auto switch for calls.
May have BT headset model wrong cos I'm in bar getting drunk!

Just downloaded the app. Looks great, hope it can do half of what it looks like. Looking forward to getting home and getting my headset out of my gym bag.
Thanks!!
I like my S9s though I use my T1 blue ant BT to stream netcasts/music and haven't wore them in a while. Running with my dog, at work, etc, I rather have an ear open and beautiful part is @ work no one knows I'm listing to the 404 or Android guys netcast ^_^ I'm just productive and waiting for a call.

vingo n google voice search may interfere with the app. freeze/uninstall them if not using.
moto seems to have made the long press of button associate with voice search/commands..

[Q] Re-directing all sound to Bluetooth

Anyone know if its technically possible to get the sound routed to standard bluetooth 'hands-free' device. I know I've successfully done this on all my past devices with help of 3rd party software. I see several iterations of software for android out right now, but none have worked for me on Atrix.
I know buying a AD2P headset would be the ideal software free workaround. But I've tried a lot of bluetooth hands-free out there, and the one I have now is just so comfortable, I just can't switch to A2DP until it absolutely dies.
I've seen a few people requesting this across other forums, wondering if the Atrix is even accessible programming wise to do this?
thanks
I don't understand your question. I have a bluetooth headset which I play music on, and which auto cuts music for calls, has a mic, you can dial by voice command, etc.
It's hands free like any other bluetooth headset other than the power button, volume buttons, etc.
What exactly are you asking?
I believe OP is requesting any App that can be used to Hear Music on a Mono Bluetooth Headset which do not support A2DP Profile.
Using regular Bluetooth without A2DP profile will allow us to Just make /Receive Calls, not for Music.
I also tried BT Mono, but it didn't worked for Atrix and eager to know any other way we can able to hear music thru regular Bluetooth Headset

SakDroid is correct. Not all bluetooth headsets support the AD2P profile, and some phones won't play music to them for a reason unknown to me. I've had 4 phones with this same bluetooth headset and only one of them natively would play music with it. All others I had to install app to redirect sound...such as the referred to BTmono. So I know it's possible on Android, just wondering if there is something preventing it on the Atrix, or just hasn't been developed yet.
I would gladly pay to get development started on this. Since I would have to pay money for one supporting A2DP, but you know how it is when you have that one that fits/works just perfectly. I've bought a few that do support the profile, but ended up returning them all, as they just weren't comfortable to wear very long.
Btmono worked for me on my samsung epic 4g on froyo....then sprint sent an ota update to their version of gingerbread 2.3.6. it is very phone specific with what your carrier puts out I think because my wife has an stock htc evo running 2.3.5, and my brother has samsung epic touch running 2.3.7 and both of those different phones work fine with it. So what did I do....I found a custom rom that was built off 2.2.1 froyo. I didn't read the full thread so I don't know what exactly what phone this is for. Only option is to get to know everything you can do with you phone, root it and try different roms. Young and old. Also...on the eipc forum we had a discussion about this....they all had the same issues with gb...even the custom roms. Would love for the developers to learn a work around, since is up their ally...but shortly after there was a good leak for ice cream sandwich which I tried and its pretty good...just a bit buggy for me. When all the kniks are work out will be moving onto that and bypassing any gb that is out for the epic. So my advise, again, is just try different stock roms first....just to find out which ones...if any will work. Then you will know what custom one to look for...if you into that sorta thing.

Blue tooth annoyance!

I have paired both my evo lte and a work sprint flip phone to my Motorola elite Bluetooth. Whenever I get a call on the work phone and end the call, my music starts playing from my evo automatically. Is there a feature I'm missing to turn off ? Thanks for the help. All bone stock to!
Could you explain a little better? You have your bluetooth device paired with both phones, and once you end a call on the flip phone, your Evo starts playing music!? On the bluetooth device or through the phones loudspeaker? I apparently do not understand, because that makes no sense to me at all.
I have 4 bluetooth devices paired with both of my Evo LTEs and my both of my 10.1 Asus tablets. When I end a call, none of them randomly start playing music.....

Is the music coming from spotify, Pandora, I.e. third-party app? If so its the app you'll have to go into the apps setting and see if it has a resume on connection setting. Power amp does for sure. I use spotify a ton and sometimes it catches me the same way. But, seems like usually if I pause the song first that it tends to not start without me telling it too. The on board HTC music player is the same but, I know it does not have a setting to stop it from doing that. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Correct it's coming from the stock music app and plays thru my blue tooth as I end the call on the flip phone. Maybe I'll try to unpair them both and try again.

Switching Bluetooth "media audio" off for car dock

I'm running the current CM10.1 nightlies on an old Verizon Fascinate (Samsung Galaxy S i500). My issue is pretty generic, so I'm posting here...
I use a Plantronics Bluetooth headset that supports various profiles - represented in the JB 4.2.2 Bluetooth configuration as selectable options for "phone audio" and "media audio".
I usually want the headset configured for both, but when I put the phone in my car dock, I want the media audio redirected to the dock's audio output (via USB).
If I turn off the headset, the audio is configured to route through the dock properly and automatically... But I still wish to use the headset for phone audio when the phone is docked. If I manually configure the headset only for phone audio, that works too - but what a hassle going in and out of my Bluetooth configuration before and after each docking operation .
Any ideas on a way to automate this? Anyone know of a slick app that can handle this?

Did you ever come up with an answer for this? I'm definitely interested in the same thing I just haven't found a solution either.

Hi Jeff - yes I did get an awesome Dev working on the vzw fascinate, who goes by the handle of djp952, to adopt the idea and implement it in his GeeWiz ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38960693
I've since picked up a Samsung gs3, and haven't had the time/energy to plead for same option on the cm10.1 platform or better yet at the AOSP level. Please feel free to advocate for it.
