after i installed cm i have been facing this problem..
network not working.
i got my settings in mobile network from my previous wolfs.gb-room
and all seems to be fine there. And this is strange if i reboot into recovery
and wibe Dalvik and reboot the phone, the market is working but when i try setup my email and browse the internet then network crashes..
what can i do to fix this
and sorry for my bad english spelling greetings
I know all are facing the same problem of internet crashing up. Try some fixes given in those threads. When I was on CM7 my internet used to work but it used to fail on market and email. So it depends. CM7 and MIUI are in the same position.

Hi, can you indicate what ROM you're using?
on b 0.8.4 there is a patch needed for some phones. (just look in second post of the thread.
If you changed your ROM: do a wipe and cache clear (Backup before!)

Me and a few others had the same problem - try rebooting your router.
finally fixed, I wipe all the data and cache, then re-flash the CM7.
you guys can try~~
maybe it should have been enough only to delete and re-establish the WIFI connection. I had the same issue when I added a another WiFI connection. After deleting all my connection points via the CM settings there was no problem anymore.
So, just if it happens again

i have a threat sbout wifi issues on my legend cm7. But im trying to resolve. i didn´t know about that tip on cm settings.
yesterday i connect to a network, todsy i didn´t see again. but i did clean install... but really it isn´t working 100% my wifi.
I like cm7, gps is good now, but wifi is buged.
Edit: where is the option to delete wifi connections?
Settings - Wireless and network - Wi-Fi Settings - Long press on SSID name and select "Forget network"
Then get in range and reconfigure your wi-fi connection.
maybe also changing the range of wifi channels may help (settings/networks/wifi-settings - then menü button - advanced/ domain) of course only with active wifi working.
Hi everyone, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to post here so I apologize if this i s the wrong section. The problem is simple, I rooted my phone and installed a different firmware version which already had the market as a stock app (before I couldn't connect to the market). Now I can connect and browse but apps are stuck at starting "downloading". I searched on the forum, I contacted the android market guys but nothing seems to work.
Here's a list of all the things I've already done with no result whatsoever:
Sign in and out of Google Talk repeatedly to restore connection to google servers (google talk or gmail don't give me any problem)
Ensure there is enough space on device for the app to install
Reboot device
Confirm there is strong connectivity on device, and contact mobile service provider
Try download(s) using both WiFi and network (3G/4G) connections
Unmount and remount the SD card
Cleared Market, Download Manager and Google Services Framework cache and data
CheckedIunchecked/rechecked background data, auto-sync, date and time settings
installed oldmarket app and tried using market older version
installed 3.20 market version (I had 3.15)
factory reset and reinstalled the firmware (and went through all the steps again)
went to samsung center to see if there was something wrong with the device
Does anyone have any ideas about how to solve this? It's really frustrating and it's starting to get on my nerves quite a bit.
Any help would be really appreciated.

Im having the same problems. I've even updated to 3.1.6 and still same problems. Android market is slow and I have to try 20 times to go to my app list and do an update.
...anyone?
any ideas at all?
Have you tried to flash any other type of ROM as well as different Radio nor Kernel?
Meanwhile if you need to install an app, you could do it from your computer browser via market, while you find out a solution to solve this problem.
Normally what I do is simply clear the market and google frameworks cache and data, but seems like for you is not working.
At this point must be a radio issue or a ROM issue.
Same problem anyone got solution ?
Have u guys tried Market Enabler? Sometimes it works for me.

Probably you are using old version of whatsapp try updating and reinstalling a new version from play store or www.whatsapp.com
This initialization bug was in one of its version...!

--Press Thanks if I helped you--
You can choose to reinstall, or you can go to Settings>Apps>Downloaded>Whatsapp> Clear Data from there.
After installing JB XXLSJ I get the same error. Tried to clear app cache and data, reinstalling and nothing... had to get back to ICS darn
Worth a try?
This is just a suggestion, try and delete the Whatsapp folder in your internal storage. Then, clear data in settings.
Instal TB
Wipe Data and cache from TB
Uninstall Whatsapp
Reboot
Install wahtsaop
Works?
Just wait for a day or two. Whatsapps is having several issues lately. Google for the news.

I had exactly the same problem yesterday bro. I fixed it by installing this older version and then the app updated through play store. It passed the initialization screen without an issue with this version (for me)
Worked for me, hope it works for you.
Actually, I've faced quite a similar problem some time ago. It was caused due to the fact that I have two devices with Whatsapp linked to the same number installed at the same time, and thus the apps is giving me problem on my other device. After I uninstall Whatsapp from one of the devices, only then Whatsapp finally works for my other device. You can give this a shot if you want.
Its an issue, if you install old WhatsApp your app will not sync your contacts
just wait a day
Hi XDA members! This is my first post ever in the forums and It'll be a long one (please be patient!), because I'm having one of the strangest issues with my Galaxy S3 i9300 and Cyanogenmod 10.2 and 11 too (recently installed to try out KK). FYI I've already searched A LOT about this issue, tried A LOT of possible solutions, and none of them worked by now. Also have in mind that my native language is Spanish, I'm from Argentina, so I'm sorry if I write something wrong.
Ok here I go.
The problem is that I cannot connect to the Google Apps using any mobile network (3G, H, E, etc.). I mean, the apps are launching fine, but I cannot sync my Gmail account, can't connect to Play Store (the error message is something like "connection timed out: try again"), neither download maps from Gmaps, etc. Although, I can connect and sync everything using WiFi, so the problem only applies for mobile network.
I've checked my APN settings and signal strength, they are fine and working, because I can connect to other apps like WhatsApp, Chrome, etc. It also isn't a phone issue, because all the apps works and connects like a charm using any Samsung based ROM (I've tried the stock ROM and other custom roms BEFORE AND AFTER installed Cyanogenmod, and they worked fine).
Ok, as I've said before, I've tried many different solutions with the same outcome: nothing changes. Some of those are:
Wiped everything (data, cache, delvik cache, etc.), reinstalled CM, reinstalled Gapps
Installed different versions of CM (10.2 and 11, stable, RC, snapshots, nightly), and also different versions of Gapps (CM recommended, PA-Gapps, etc.)
Wiped application cache, and data, and uninstall upgrades, from Settings menu and also Titanium Backup app
Flashed the Modem the default firmware from my carrier to CM Rom
Probably some other things that I've forgot now :silly:
Also, on a different note, I've tried Omega Rom (the one based on Google default Rom), and I had the same issue with it. Could it be a issue related to AOSP roms? Hmmm...
I think this is everything you need to know. If I remember anything useful, I'll post it here.
I REALLY, GREATLY, AWESOMELY appreciate anyone's help. If I cannot solve this, well, I'll have to return to Samsung Rom as much as I hate it
Thanks in advance!!
Anyone? Please?
Hello guys, what's up?
This is SO weird but here I am facing a problem in my Galaxy s2, and need your advice.
The whole thing is my Cellular data (Internet of Sim Card) is not working on Browsers(tried stock one+Firefox)+Google products and some other apps, but works on Clash of Clans and aptoide app store. And it works with EVERYTHING when I'm using it as a hotspot, like now I'm connected to my phone internet via wifi and there is literally no problem at all, I even have an android emulator running in background without any problems with Google Play and other stuff so it's basically a problem related to my phone.
Also WiFi itself works fine on phone, when I connect to my cousin wifi home connection, everything works like charm but when I switch back to mobile data....
I don't know what's going on... It suddenly happened on my phone and I didn't install any apps or change the system files.
Things I've done:
1- Wiped /data + /system and factory reset for like a billion time
2- Changed my rom with clean install (Even switched to older CM13 versions to make sure there is nothing wrong with my new roms)
3- Removed battery + tried all of the basic troubleshooting stuff
4- Checked the host file in /System/Etc and there was just: " 127.0.0.1 localhost "
Btw when I open the browser (CM13 stock one), this the exact error I'm getting:
ERR_CONNECTION_RESET
What should I do? :crying:
Oops. sorry I forgot to mention, everything works fine when I use VPN. Somehow VPN+Clash of Clans and Aptoide appstore all work but Play store and everything else aren't, seriously what's wrong?
I just removed the host file now and rebooted but it didn't solve the issue
I fixed it!!! Thread needs to be closed
@HutchGuy how did you fix it?
