Hi all...is it possible to backup my current rom? If so, how?
Thanks
when you boot into clockworkmod you can do a backup there. i think it makes a backup of everything and then you can restore using the clockworkmod...

I don't think this belongs in the development section.

I have Htc Flyer.
I update it from Gingerbread 2.3.3 to Honycomb 3.2.
I want to downgrade it again >>>> How can I downgrade it ?????????????
If there is a 2.3 rom for your device then flash it, or if there is a stock rom flash that. Next time you do an update make a nandroid backup, so if you dont like the new rom then just restore back

Yes i have ClockWork Recoveries that i manually named so i know what rom is what rom at any point i can switch to and from any backup and access whichever version i choose at a moments notice in my opinion you MUST rename them because you know the default name is something like "2012 08.04-12:34:26" just fully remane it so you know what it is!
Its ok to rename in rom manager before you make a backup, but never rename the backup file on a PC and then flash the file, it wont work

I managed to soft brick my note and I can't seem to get any custom ROMs to boot past the boot animation, and returning to stock just bootloops. If anyone can provide me with their backup of CM9, that'd be great. I just need the boot.img, cache, data, nandroid, recovery, and system files. You don't even need to give me the clockworkmod folder, backup folder, or the folder for the actual backup! (Make sure there's no private information on the backup, mmkay?) Preferably, it would be made in CWM after flashing CM9 quincyatt RC2 and the 4.29.12 Google Apps.
If this won't cause too much trouble, I hope you people can provide a backup. I managed to wipe all of mine out (bad luck!).
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: If it helps anyone, I have an AT&T Note.

Thanks! It's an incomplete backup, but I can splice it with some of the backups I have on my computer and write it to an SD card.

Hope it works for you, I have no clue with this stuff. Don't know why it would be incomplete. I've used that backup image before to restore.

Yes, I have. I get a bootloop when I try to Odin back to stock. I found an old recovery I made from the OEM stuff, so I'm just going to flash that and start over. Case closed, I suppose.

His problem is he doesn't know how to restore a nand backup. He thought of flashing like a ROM.zip and he doesn't read the thread that you linked
Follow the step here -If the nandroid backup is done with TWRP - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39658645&postcount=3

Hey.
One question before I flash a custom kernel on my SGS3. I was planning on making first a nandroid backup with the stock kernel-
If I flash a custom kernel and after a few days I want to revert back to the stock kernel will the nandroid backup do it? Or does it copy everything except the kernel?
Does the nandroid backup backup the kernel also so I can go back to my previous kernel too?
Thanks.
A nandroid backup backups everything except kernel.
