If you are s-off, you can just push recovery into phone. Then you are done.

Don't think so. It's still not 100% perm root and we don't have s-off. Plus roms from other devices won't support pen input

No S-Off, no installing custom ROMs.
I currently have a htc desire which i wanna s-off, i came across revolutionary which is said to s-off my phone, but i currently have custom rom installed with data2sd. can i just run it? will it brick my phone?
I did mine yesterday and had no issues whatsoever! Successfully S-OFFed!

Ensure that the HBOOT version is as mentioned in the website. Do NOT proceed if using 0.8
So, u can run it even if rooted? Nice, does it turn the s-on to s-off or does it just change the bootloader thingy?

It changes from S-on to S-OFF and the bootloader from 0.93.0001 to 6.93.1002
So, its just like alpharev right? With the purple hboot thingy at the top

Im trying to flash the infected rom on my brothers evo3d for him but his hboot is 1.5. Is there a way to turn s-off and flash a rom or is that not possible yet?
It's possible, you just have to use HTC unlock first then flash a custom recovery (TWRP) after that, flash away,,there are guides further down on this forumn that will tell exactly how to do it...btw this is the developer thread, u must pm a mod to transfer this to the Q&A thread, otherwise idiots will harass u. Good luck

Hey there, I'm a noob lol. I have a htc desire s hboot 2.00 and I managed to get root access using htcdev. Then I rooted my phone using one root click. Now I'm stuck. I can't get a new recovery working on this phone. I tried using Rom manager and 4ext. Even installed recovery.img in root of sd and with hboot. I only get this damn triangle . Can anyone please explain how I can get a custom recovery on my HTC desire s.... Thanks in advance

If it is anything like the method for my HTC legend and unlocked boot loader, you must flash the custom recovery image from fastboot, you can't use the fake flash method with update.Zip. I don't know directly about the desire s, so you will have to look through the forums fot the desire s
As a tip, I used I think its called fast boot commander to flash the clockwork mod custom recovery image file.

So I need somebody's help... I have been doing research on how to revert back to GB from ICS on my HTC Amaze 4G through telus..
Anyways, I unlocked the boot loader and used Hasoon2000's AIO Toolkit and rooted the phone. Everything went fine, But I mistakenly wiped the phones internal storage and I'm able to boot into hboot, And bootloader but not into android.. Help please?
