hi my digitalizer is not working fine, random touch when using, and my question is if i buy a new one will i still be able to have dual touch?
the DT is on the digitalizer or on the hardware in the phone?
if it`s possible it has to be some specific digitalizer?

I wonder, if there is a chance to port the multitouch to x10 mini.
I have flashed the "kernel.sin" provided by Bin4ry and the phone works like before. (single)Touch working normally. Maybe drivers are the same and there is only some missing library for the multitouch? Maybe it could be ported from X10 and insmoded to mini?
I'm pretty sure the phone use a different digitizer, there fore different drivers.

Ok. So how can i check the type of this digitizer. What is in X10 and what in x10 mini? Interesting thing is, that i installed HTC sense from mini forum and my phone is on touch working and mini pro is not.
Dont know from where is that sense ported.
And how about that i flashed kernel from X10 and my phone still working?

Thanks for trying to help me.
I am trying to get some answer from big X10 devs. Because these two phones are quite similar in some aspects.
Touch driver of x10mini is synaptics-rmi-ts, what is the driver of big X10?
Solved - the x10mini has synaptics clearpad 1000 series digitizer T1021A - no multitouch
- the x10mini pro has cypress truetouch digitizer CY8CTMA300E - all points multitouch
- but i still don´t know what is the digitizer in big X10. Is it clearpad 2000 series?
By the way, my last SE phone. I am really disappointed.
I've heard rumors and I've read blogs. It seems the X10 Mini Pro is capable of having MultiTouch, but what about the Mini?
Take this with a grain of salt but AFAIK the Mini's digitizer isn't capable of multitouch, which means you'd have to rewrite the entire driver in order to test if it's even possible, also AFAIK the Mini and the Pro have the same digitizer

Sorry bro, but clearpad 2000 has always been DUAL touch. Look on synaptics's homepage http://www.synaptics.com/solutions/products/clearpad . Well, in that list it says 2100, but it's the same thing, the 2000 series have always been dual touch compatible. I know that it isn't as great as the pro's , but it's better than nothing. Someone should crack the ****ing bootloader already...

In light of all the debate about the display on the X10, I decided to find a definitive answer myself. I went ahead and asked Synaptics, who’s a supplier of touchscreen technologies, and although I didn’t get the answer I was looking for, I got another rather interesting fact. Apparently, Synaptics is the supplier of the display on the X10 Mini and I’ve just been told that it’s a ClearPad 2000 solution, which means it supports dual touch – or in other words the basic sort of multi-touch. It doesn’t mean that it’ll be activated and supported out of the box – as the operating system won’t support it – but I’m pretty sure it’ll come in an update.

And I dont think that there is a need to crack the bootloader.. In the mino pro-forum they are talking about unloading the current driver and load a multit touch-driver.
Let'ts hope it works... so we have a good chance to get dual touch

Greeting!
I have this little question about the dual touch functionality on the X10 mini E10i , it seems like you guys have found some solution to make it work on the X10 and the X10 mini PRO but not on the X10 mini , I'm just wondering is it a hardware limitation that prevent the development of a new driver ? I mean is it the X10 Mini screen that does not allow Dual touch?
also I would appreciate if someone can provide me with the last version of the fake dual touch fix for the X10 mini E10i.
Thank you in advance
Sincerely,
Mathieu
Because of different hardware type and technology!
Hence a hardware limitation!
Anyways here's ur fake dual touch.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1004740

Thank you for your prompt reply and for sharing the link of the fake dual touch
so I would understand that it's impossible for the X10 mini to have dual touch? I thought that it has a synaptic clearpad 2100 digitizer which support DT?
A while ago, someone here said he had called Synaptics and verfified that the digitizer in our Minis (Only Mini, not Mini Pro) did in fact support dualtouch and not singletouhc only as some did believe.
What is to be done about that? I mean, if Synaptics themselves verified the support of dualtouch, then it can't be fake?
EDIT: I was talking about this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1283495
Have you seen the first video? that dual touch is totally fake totally buggy :S the touch point dont even follow the fingers, the axes/axis cross. check the video is the same fake dual touch that we have
i have a x10 mini with fake dual touch, and is the same of the video. I also have an x8 with cypress and is totally different
Can you make phone supports dual touch

X10 already supports dual touch since 2.1. Full multi touch is sadly not possible due to hardware limitation.
