I have the tmobile phone edition with:
Rom 4.01.16 ENG
Radio 6.25.02
date 02/04/04
I have problems with sms displaying received phone numbers instead of names and various other problems. Looking at rom version numbers it seems as if I have the newest. Tmobile told me there were no updates available. does anyone know of a newer rom and where to get it that will help.
I have tried several times to do a firmware update for the T-mobile G2 (Dutch version). I don't think there is any difference between the dutch or the english version.
Everything goes until the firmware updates really starts. I get a message bootloader starts over again! and then that the firmware update fails.
My G2 has been rooted, but i turned all back to the original backup. (I Think)
Modelnr: T-Mobile G2 Touch
Firmwareversion: 1.5
Smallbandversion: 63.18.55.06EU_6.35.06.18
Buildnr: 1.76.110.6 146733 CL#47214
Softwareversion: 1.0.0.A6288
Is there anyone who can help me so that i can use the firmware update. I hear a lot of complaint over this update, but I need to be able to acces a WiFi network.
Are you using the RUU process? If so, it's probable that it is failing the CID check as you are T-Mobile NL rather than T-Mobile UK (though I'd expect to see a message to that effect!).
What is wrong with your WiFi?
Regards,
Dave
My problem with the wifi is that i can't setup security certificates. I read that it become possible from the new firmware.
Someone told me it was possible to install the T-mobile UK version. But then i have to wait until the dutch supported version. Thank you for your response.

I believe that is part of Donut, and not in the current update ROMs. However, if you install a rooted ROM, it is possible that this app may help:

To reiterate - you *MUST* have a rooted ROM in order to use this application.

It seems that there is a new baseband version for the HTC Hero
(63.18.55.06OU_6.35.15.01)
I'm using an Austrian T-Mobile G2 Touch and at the moment I'm running on baseband version: 63.18.55.06U_6.35.04.25
Is it safe to update to the new baseband version? It should be now problem to flash the old radio if the new one don't work, but I couldn't find a download for my version. Only for version 63.18.55.06_6.35.04.25 (without "U")
What is the difference in the various versions (without character, with U, EU, FU, JU, HU, IU, OU)
Should I update to the new version?
I just received the notificiation that there was an update available.
I'm installing it now. It was named "HTC update".
Anybody having an idea what's in it?
Can't seem to find anything yet
I allready was on 7392. So don't look at the OS version. It remained the same after the update. Maybe it has something to do with the bootloader or radio? Maybe interesting for ansar?
This is the phone information afterwards:
OS Version: 7.0.7392.0
Firmware revision number: 2250.21.13301.111
Hardware revision number: 0004
radio software version: 5.65.09.25_22.45.50.21U
Radio hardware version: A.102.0.D4
Bootloader version: 1.33.2250.1(123643)
Yes, the bootloader version and radio software version is different to the first 7932.
OS Version: 7.0.7392.0
Firmware revision number: 2250.09.13001.401
Hardware revision number: 0004
radio software version: 5.54.09.21_22.33b.50.10U
Radio hardware version: A.102.0.D4
Bootloader version: 1.33.2250.1(117833)
But I don't have an update at the moment.
Also I have received the notificiation for this update on the Zune.

Just got a notification about an HTC Update for my phone. Orange UK but I unlocked it so I could use it for O2 UK.
Any benefits of this update at all?
I'm on Orange UK and my phone just got HTC phone updates. but seems like nothing different than before.
unbranded HTC 7 Mozart. Malaysia. Just got the update today. Some sites say the update include better call quality overall and battery life improvements. In the process of updating atm.
update: done. will see what becomes of the battery life and call quality. though the camera now has autofocus on by default so you dont have to keep playing with the hardware button to focus in.
update2: check wpcentral for the update info. cant post URLs "yet"
Caution: Don't update when you changed micro SD card
My Mozart have replaced 32GB Class 4 Sandisk and no any problem before updated.
After updated, the phone always reboot and show the error "you micro sd is non-compliance"
Now trying restorse to before updated.
hi am new to the mozart scene, i am on o2 an want to unbrand my phone so i can see its potential, i am wanting to know where to find the rspl and hspl, and the best way to do this. many thanks paul
I picked up the Flyer from Best Buy and I noticed the software version it came with is 1.something. Should I be expecting and update soon?
As a follow on, what is the latest stock or OTA/FOTA version for the wifi-only Flyer?
(I know there's a list, but I couldn't quite interpret the versioning scheme)
The OS is supposed to be 2.3.x
That 1 point something might be for HTC sense version.
So my info is as follows:
Android version = 2.3.3
HTC Sense version = 2.1 for tablet
Software number = 1.36.1540.32
So the reason I ask is:
A) on the official htcdev bootloader unlock page its lists "Flyer (EWE Wi-Fi) 2.27.1114.31" under the supported devices list.
B) I've seen on the HTC stopper site that there is an update which brings android 2.3.4 and software version 2.00.405.3 (although looking at this again, it may be for European Flyers only)
Yep... the update is for European Flyers only. HTC has been really quiet with the Flyer since May - especially with the U.S. version(s).
They promised Honeycomb. All we've seen is a leak. A bit of a bummer...
I got the exact same version numbers on my unit. I followed the directions to use revolutionary to S-OFF and even though I didn't get the "SUCCESS - Life gave us lemons, we didn't make lemonade!" message my bootloader still said revolutionary and I was able to download CWM and flash it using fastboot. No probs since.
2.3.3 here too. US.
