Here is a link to a thread with the apk not requiring root simply install then go to Settings>Screen>Screen Display>Font Style and select RobotoRegular looks awesome and thought I'd share!

Is it really that different from the current font on stock firmware?
You wont honestly be able to see a massive difference except in several characters. Though it does have a higher res look to it compared to the stock font.
In my opinion the roboto fonts are easier to read compare to the older font... The changes i believe is subtle...
I agree, it is definitely easier to read compared to the stock font. I also notice the biggest difference on my phone as it greatly increased readability on it.

I love my vibrant without a doubt. But I wish our icons were as eye catching as iphones... I keep googling for two months.. sure ive found some icons but just basic ones like phone icon, text, notepad, sms, and most of them are crappy quality because they arent original iphone icons just look a likes or remakes
Can someone help me find preferably new iphone icons from their newest firmware.... a complete set would be great.
Thank You!!!

Icons on our phone are just png files. Any png file with the right size will do. There are various apps on the market to change icons on the home screen. If you want to change it in the app drawer too you can use apk manager to extract each apk you want to change. Swap out the icon in the res/drawables, zip it back up and sign it again.

What is the correct size of the png icons that would most likely resemble the iphone icons?
I feel like alot of icons I find online are too small.

well the default samsung messaging, gallery, video and so forth are 72x72 but I guess smaller icons would work too, even if they are a bit grainy.
Edit: The iphone icons in the above website are 120x120 so they are higher resolution than our default ones. I tested it by swapping out the calculator icon in TouchWizCalculator.apk in system/app. It works nicely.
I am an iPhone defector and am very impressed with my Vibrant, its capabilities and this awsome community. Thank you. I have been silently educating myself from these forums.
I finally rooted and went to Trigger 3.2 (incredible ROM!). I would however like to add some fonts. I have downloaded 5 font packs that I would like to install, but am nervous about screwing anything up.
I have read that these fontpacks can be installed via CWM, but I am concerned that since I am not on stock ROM I could screw up my phone. I am versed at flashing from CWM and have been playing with modems a bit.
Any advice or words of comfort would be appreciated!
Again thanks to all for this impressive collection of information.
Jason
I'm not certain what font packs you are referencing... admittedly I do not use anything other than the built-in fonts, those that come with the ROM, or the ones I get from the market... but there really should be no risk.
Trigger does allow you to hide the clock am/pm and clock if desired. I could see there being a chance of a portion of this showing if the font was a drastically different size. I only say this b/c initially a VERY small portion of the AM/PM was visible, but birgertime may have fixed that for good?
What font packs are you referencing?

ya what kind if the are .apk download the android injecter and follow the 2 steps and done
Has anyone figured out how to use a bigger system font on this phone? I tried the older font zip from the OG but the install fails.
The higher resolution in the 3d is nice, but the tiny system font is a problem for me.
Copy the fonts in using root explorer and change permissions to match the others.
You could raise the dpi, I don't know what it would look like though. I tried changing the font using that same method myself and the phone crashes on boot up. I didn't change the permissions, I didn't think I had to.
Flash the single font file
Those of us that just recently started needed reading glasses can sympathize.
Download Font Changer from the Market. It's pretty idiot proof as it always allows a reinstall of the default system font if you screw things up. Has a great "preview" feature that lets you see just how big the fonts are to install. It doesn't specifically say the 3D is supported but I can confirm it works with a rooted ViperROM. I didn't need to do any of the renaming things either.
Good collection of free fonts from here. Just download them and unzip the .ttf files to the .fontchanger directory on the SD card.:

Experimented with a few different fonts, a couple of the "bigger" fonts would be cut off on the bottom or top depending on what application I was in. I ended up settling with the Luxi-Sans font and am pretty happy with it. Don't need my glasses scrolling through my call directory anymore!
Here's the direct link to the Luxi-Sans font I'm using:

Thanks for the information guys!
I will try these ideas.
Rydah805, would you describe in more detail how to do the above?
Thanks again.

I already have it. I'm actually looking for the exact one. Anyway thanks buddy.
This has probably been answered elsewhere, but the Lollipop logo font is simply called 'and'. It has two typefaces, light and black. It was made bay a company called A2type specifically for Google. It's license makes it non-redistributable but it can be extracted from the Androidify apk under framework/res/fonts.
Unfortunately, the font is not available as a standard ttf to be installed as a system font on Android. and-light is available only as an .otf. and-black on the other hand is a ttf font which can be installed on Android, but both font typefaces suffer from an extreme vertical offset that causes text to be off center or cut off throughout the interface. In order to make the font usable, someone would pretty much have to copy the glyphs onto a new font with proper spacing in order for it to look correct, which would be a considerable undertaking. Which really is a shame, because and is a very attractive font and would make the perfect compliment to the new Lollipop UI.

Update:
Well, if you want something done, you have to do it yourself. I took the liberty of "fixing" this font, and I created light, regular, bold and italic typefaces. Enjoy!!!
Note, there are a few bugs that occurred from the conversion process which I will fix as I find time.
Download the font here:

UPDATE 5/2/15
I've fixed quite a few errors like the trailing e at the end of words, the percent sign and various alternate characters showing up in the place of certain punctuations.

Did you only fix the Light version?
Hi folks,
I'm a Themer noob, but a even with searching around I haven't found the solution. Basically, I installed Themer on my Slimkat ROMed T-Mo Samsung Galaxy S4 (M919 model), and went theme shopping. Found lots of nice ones but they all look tiny on my screen. Fonts and icons are much smaller than shown while browsing themes. For example, here's a theme I thought looked pretty. I'm attaching two pictures, one as shown in the theme browser and the other (with the tiny text and a tiny angry birds icon) the way it actually displays.
How do I change the sizes of the things, basically zooming the elements by a factor of 2-3X?
I have tried the icon size dp setting, but changing it doesn't seem to do much of anything at all.
Thanks in advance for help in adjusting the scaling!

Hi Marc,
We apologize about this, but you say you're running Slimkat. For some reason Slimkat has also been giving other users in this section similar issues. However one possible cause for this could be your display/DPI/resolution settings. Make sure that all your settings are set to your device's default setup, as Slimkat may have changed a few of them.
If this isn't the case please let us know, thanks!

Thanks Marco. I'll poke around today and see if I can figure out how to change the DPI stuff. I've never needed to in my past Android experience and will need to figure out how to do it. I haven't yet seen an obvious setting for it, so maybe it's a build.prop mod?
I will report back after investigating!
Marc
I researched and found the actual pixel density of the S4 screen is 441. Using Device Control's build-prop settings, I found mine with SlimKat was set to 370. I adjusted it to 441 and a lot of things look more normal now in the regular launcher. The status bar at the top is now normal size and fonts are generally more legible.
However, in Themer, things still seem a bit small. I re-applied the theme, and things got a bit bigger, but still smaller than I'd like. I'll continue to poke around...

Whenever you have an issue with Themer, try this:
1. Uninstall Themer.
2. Delete the /sdcard/MyColorScreen/ folder (remove the Exported folder if you saved any themes).
3. Reinstall Themer.
Let me know how it goes!
