Thats very easy... If you want to change your android version follow my step-by-step to install:
1st - download and run it:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=913136 - to root and install xrec on your phone.
2nd - download your rom
3rd - make a backup using xrec
4th - choose install custom zip and select zip from sd card
5th - wait
6th - reboot
7th - configure
8th - Thats ready to ROCK with custom roms!!!
But if you want a dual boot you need to know how to do it, or installing CyanoComb which comes with, and you need a very good SD card, for example a SDHC 16Gb Class 6 or Class 10. I'm going buy a Class 10 and i will say what tests results.
Btw, I hope I helped you
Thanks for your complete instruction dude
So in order to install GinTonic.Se , there is no need for an ext2/3/4 partition?
Thanks again

Hi i'm trying to partition my sdcard and install Darktremor App2SD but have some questions? Plz reply with best possible answer(or explanantion)...
What will be the best value for swap partition and swapiness ...
What are the recommended commands that should be run after installing app2sd? And what is zipalign ??
Or I followed the first post from the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1186212 then everything is done or do I need to do anything (like running some commands, etc ) anymore to make best use of app2sd ....
Thank You!!!

Okie guys...here i come to final thing that i wud love to do on my ace. Probably i ll rest fir few months after that.
I flashed back dxkt5 2.3.6 today.
Installed cf-root b84
Lagfree v2
Converted filesystems to ext4
I am using link2sd app for now with ext4 partition on my sd card.
I heard thar dt a2sd is better than link2sd as it allows to move data as well to sd card. Hence, am planning to enable it as it comes with cf root.
Can anybody plz guide me how to do it with minimal efforts.
By minimal efforts i mean..without having to re install my apps.
If thats unavoidable i m ok with it. But please guide me how to proceed with it.
I am a neebie and hv been trying to understand the things one by one..and i feel this is the last thing which remain untouched by me.
Plz plz help me guys...i promise i wont trouble u after that..if somebody says try google...i hv already done that...but i couldn't make sense out of it...may be because i am a girl. ;-)
Please help.
Thanks.

Dta2sd sucks for me. I had used before. 1 main problem i found ws dat it used to mess up my ext partition. Means, like whenever i tried to install an app, my fone would reboot.

S2E and FreeSpace is even more better for handling SD card ext partition
dont listen to opinions. see my sig below?
opinions wasnt always true and it wasnt a fact. it usually based on personal experience, and your experience might be different than others.
test it yourself and see how it goes. u always got cwm backup if something goes wrong.

If by original, you mean the stock rom, then it will not run as stock roms doesn't have init.d support. Unless ofcourse you install a custom stock kernel with init.d support, in which case it should work. As for the custom stock kernel with init.d support, you can use the Rafael Baugis stock kernel. Here is the link,
Rafael.Baugis Kernel
It should work well with any rom that has init.d support (something all custom roms have)

I can't tell you the best rom as it is against the XDA rules. But here is the list of all roms for your device,
Know your Device: Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i/C/M/39i
Now if you are not satisfied with a2sdgui, try CronMod Unofficial. All you need is an ext partition and a rom with init.d support. Go to CWM> Advanced> Partition SD Card> Size (max 1GB)> Swap (0MB) and then wait for it to say "Partitioning Done". Now mount /system from CWM and flash the CronMod Unofficial zip from CWM and reboot. That's it. Here is the link,
Cronmod Unofficial
Hope I Helped
Always ask question in Q and A section..
U can use link to sd app on stock rom also..root your device and install busybox then make 2nd partition of your sd card from cwm and then use link 2 sd app for link apps to sd card..
