HBO GO or Netflix playing smooth? - Droid Eris Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just rooted and flashed Cyanogenmod on an Eris I just inherited. Has anyone succeeded in getting Netflix/HBO Go to to play smoothly? HBO Go is playable, but stutters a lot and is not very enjoyable; Netflix's video lags behind the audio.
I overclocked to 748, but there's not much of a difference. Is the phone incapable?

i dont think this phone will ever be able to play these services smoothly Theres just not enough ram/cpu.

[Q] Gameboid issue.

When playing roms like pokemon fire red, if the frame skip is off, games run very slow. if frame skip is on, games run really choppy (even if max frame skip is 1)(sound off). ive seen videos G1 running it very smooth.(which has a similar cpu as wildfire). could it be 2.2 - 2.1 issue? or something else?
im running official froyo 748mhz

Wildfire has no GPU, although I'm not sure if G1 has one

There's definitely something wrong with your Gameboid, I'm running Wildpuzzle with live wallpapers and everything, not overclocked, listening to music and Pokemon works like a charm, Sonic Advance and even Tekken 3 both run great as well, they are definitely more graphics-intensive, I set Max Frame Skip to 3 or 4 and then it's fast and quite smooth.
I'd download the latest version of Gameboid and another GBA bios file and see if that solves it.

Dungeon Hunter 2 FC's on CM7 RC-4; OC 1.1Ghz

I just wanted to let people know that Dungeon Hunter 2 HD will not run on CM7 RC-4 OCed 1.1Ghz. It gets to the first loading screen, hangs for a couple seconds, then I'm kicked back to the home screen without a FC prompt from android. On a sidenote Dungeon Hunter 1 HD runs great on my system, if that means anything.
I'm curious if anyone was able to get it running on either Nookie Froyo, honeycomb, or the stock rom.
I'm seeing that same thing with Asphalt 6, GT Racing, and Let's Golf 2. They install, download data, play intro videos then hang and close.
Checking it out.
same problem
I know this is an old thread but has there been any progress on this I love dh1 would love to play dh2 on my nc
That looks like a fun game for only $5.
The best bet is hacked .apks that bypass device restrictions and generally seem to run better. There's a whole list of working gameloft apps in my sig.

[Q] Gameboid sound problems

Im running Gamboid on my droid 2 with gingerbread and whenever I play any of the pokemon games the sound is strangly off. Its like only the backround sounds are playing and the the main tune is not even playing at all, so it sounds like completly different music. Do any of you have any idea why this happening? Its only the pokemon games.
Robert Broglia has recently released a new GBA Emulator called GBA.emu, I think this is far better than Gameboid, especially with disabled linear filtering! you can find it here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...hhLkdiYUVtdSJd

Best playstation emulator?

Are there any playstation emulators that are working on the galaxy tab 10.1? All of them seem to have weird sound or poor fps. I think psx4droid worked on the xoom, but it's not playing nice on here.
Would also like to know this. Psx4droid just doesn't run any roms, and Fpse works, but lots of frame rate and sound issues running FFVII ( which according to the internets, is one of the best running roms out there).
I've seen it running really well on a phone, don't see why it should run badly on a more powerful device.
using FPse with Crash bandicoot and it works fine for me !
After I updated to Touchwiz UX FPSE started working alot better for me. Before I wasn't getting any sounds in FF9 and the sounds during regular gameplay were very choppy. Now I am getting 52-60 fps and sound emulation is great.
+1 for FPSe
Went through many emulators and the is by far the best.
Using an older version of psx4drioid (pre v2) works the best on tegra devices, havent tried it yet on my GT but on my old g-tablet it was the best emulator. Version 1.2 or 1.5 if I recall correctly.

honycomb does not play nice with psx4droid
use FPSe
- download scph1001.bin from the net
- go to FPSe settinges
- than system
- bios loading and choose scph1001.bin
- restart FPSe
- enjoy with the almost 100% working games with sound and everything
I've found most RPG games have messed up sound with FPSe, anyway to fix this issue? Final Fantasy 7,8,9
whenever i get ff9 fpse wont load it, where are you guys getting your working roms from?
Fpse is the freaking best man, it even works flawlessly on my nexus s
+ 1 fpse
I wish I could get FPse working for me, I have the correct Bios, but when I load any game it shows a black screen for 30 seconds and then force closes. I know the roms are working because they work with PSX4droid (however PSX4droid randomly crashes and sound clips). Do you think its because I'm using the Starburst ROM? Or possibly I have a bad bios file?
FPSe loads FF9 fine if I have the BIOS file loaded, except:
1) Graphics look like crap. There are settings that VASTLY improve graphics quality but these make it laggy/choppy
2) No sound in many areas. Basically, there is no background music
Well FPSe is working great in terms of frame rate and all that ... But yeah getting a weird sound issue where the music in FFVII seems to be chopped off a little.
Notes don't' seem like they are completing or something. Kind of weird.

I'm having trouble with fpse. What files are the Roms you guys are using? Do I have to unzip them or rename them? I'm a little lost. Thanks.

Runs perfectly smooth with no slowdown in FMV sequences? Because I am not having a similar experience. I have messed with the settings a lot, and I can get generally smooth gameplay and battle sequences (50-60fps) but I cannot keep the FMV scenes from being stuttery/jerky at time.

I have spusync option on under audio and frame limiter + frame skip 50fps. With these settings i get smooth gameplay in any game I have tried including FFVII and FMV scenes.
Try it out, the frame skip 50 fps allows some games to run normal for some reason with out any jerky gerky. (make sure frame limiter is active)
Happy gaming!

[Q] HD Games On ics rom

any ics rom that play hd games smoothly.
i play it only for few seconds and then FC
Asphalt 6, Sacred Odyssey, Temple Run work fine for me.....although capped at 56FPS it's fairly smooth.
I haven't had any trouble playing HD games.
What is your setup? Rom, kernel, settings...anything you can give us can certainly help
Also, you main want to look into chainfire: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.cf3d&hl=en
i am running on ICS Slim with glitch kernel and already install Chainfire 3D but force close after 10 mins
