what are the benefits of custom kernel like zombie panic for example??
how can i restore stock SE Kernel for x10 mini pro??
if installed can i go back to SE Stock ROM if i installed it?? also i don't care for the warranty i only want to know if i can run back my SEUS over this kernel and go back to stock after installing the custom kernel because if the custom kernel don't work then i need to fix my phone and go back to stock kernel and Rom....

First after a great efforts of our developers they have made the custome kernel working for mini pro.. Giving u a rough idea about it is,
1:increase performance..
2.no lags
3.since modules are in kernel itself its becum faster.. (which I like )
4.inbuilt tethering n many more u can read the kernel thread..
N yes u can get back to stock kernel as well.. The link is in D4's kernel thread for stock one.... N before flashing kernel go through the spiderx thread linked.. All steps are provided for unlockin the bootloader.. n before goin to stock SE rom..always flash the stock kernel n then flash stock SE ROM using flashtool.or else u may haard brick ur phone..

i'm currently building my own environment to start Modding and creating kernels. i need some help of some you great developers to set everything right for the first run and after that you will start to see my ROMS and Kernel in XDA

i have a X10 mini with miniCM7 2.1.6 firmware and nAa kernel 07 and i have many problem with this rom and this kernel so i would like to restore the SE original kernel and ROm . WHAT SHOULD I DO , help me plz ????

just flash it with flashtool or SEUS, many threads that explain that
how ?? if i flash the stock kernel with flashtool i can 't access to xrecovery or cwm to do the update zip (=install the stock ROM )....

Not that I ever would go back to stock rom

I'm using nAa kernel v0.9 and his rom CM7 2.1.7 for x10 mini pro, best rom and kernel for our little phones
SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service) is possibly the simplest to go back to stock as you don't have to worry about downloading the right rom and kernel and all of that. Just install, run and have a cup of coffee while you wait.
It doesn't root or install CWM though.
By the way, what problems are you having with the rom and kernel?

Stock!!! Whz would someone wanted to go back on stock?
Have you try minicm7 2.1.7 + nAa 09 kernel ??
I just flashed to miniCM 2.1.7 + nAa-09. Very satisfied! as I always am with MiniCM

I believe that the guides / tutorials are all straightforward. Use the SEARCH BOX on the top upright of this forum. For every CM7-based ROMS, the installation tutorials / guides is included in the OP, read it dude. Good Luck!

Thx lzvebz: sorry for poor writing but i edit it. U see my info again if i mess. my trouble is about cwm recovery it aborted. I want ask that my xperia x10 have unlocked bl with doom kernal v 5..can i flash that kernal by cm7 ,.cm7.2 cm9 etc. And do i need to do anything els brfore flashing its kernal and instaling cm rom.what to do if it aborted on recovery flashing?

Oh thx sinatra. But i still in daubt. I want to ask u that does cm rom include overclock..and do i overclock by myself after finish flash that cm rom?
And 1 more. Can this cm rom play any 3d big game smoothly?
I want to install custom ROMs on my sony ericsson LWW. This my first time and i do not know anything about rooting.
My android is 4.0.4 [/B]kernel version 4.1.B.0.587.
I have till now just unlocked the bootloader following instructions on the sony website.
So my bootloader is unlocked.
Now from what i have understood reading all the threads that I have to root my phone and install CWM on it.
Can anyone please help me with it as i cannot do it!!!

Firstly use the SEARCH bar and to answer your question, since your bl is unlocked so no need to root it just install any pre-rooted kernel with built in recovery and then flash any rom compatible with the kernel Best of luck

if your bootloader is unlocked then just pick any kernel from LWW thread , be sure about kernel ( ICS,GB,or JB) , mostly every kernel have CWM recovery, and now you can install custom roms

I'm sorry but such type of questions are discouraged in XDA as they compare the works of such great devs which is an insult to the. Try each since kernels are not of very big size and hope u can get the best one for you

A good kernel, like any other software, is a kernel that works, if it doesn't it's not so good.
Have you followed the instructions how to install it, wiping dalvik cache or such?
EDIT: BTW do you have the ftf file for the formware you are using? The kernel is there you can flash it with flashtool no wipes and excluding all other packages.

As you can see by my signature I have Xperia P so I know nothing about Sola custom kernel.
I have tried many custom kernels for my phone and came to the conclusion it's not worth messing with, I am very happy with stock kernel.

In the first step for downgrading to GB 2.3 , 3 versions like .42 , .58 and .62.. are mentioned.. are those build versions.??? my fone's build version is 4.1.B.0.587.. how to find if my fone is .42 or .58 or .62.. pls help.. thank you..

its simple, one click & no downgrade need. (u can root your ics with this) and to answer your questions yes theses are (ROM) build numbers, has nothing to do with ur phone itself. bigger number means newer. yr phones build version is .587

Check the development forum for any kernel you like and choose one of all these kernels. Of course it has to be compatible with your android version
And all kernels come with an integrated recovery, so just try one

Thank you guys.. i have flashed miui in my mobile.. but am facing issue with gyro sensor.. its working the way just opposite to how its meant to work.. how to fix it.. Thanks in advance..
