Hi ,
I'm on stock ROM KF3 (Rooted) . Since last week I'm facing wierd problems with battery .
Today morning My battery was on ~ 50 % , then after 15 minutes , to my surprise my phone was off . I turned it on & to my shock saw battery critically low notification ( with 1% battery remaining ) .
Also after 10 minutes of being turned on , the indicator increased to 7% automatically .
I then plugged it in and made a complete 100% charge .Within 20 minutes from being unplugged it was on 94% ,So i did a restart and to my shock again the indicator showed 64% . Then within nearly 15 minutes on being turned on the indicator is increasing automatically in steps of 1% & now indicator shows 72% .
Is this an issue with the phone , battery or what .??
FYI I'm using battery monitor widget & circular battery indicator .
I'm posting my battery usage , battery graph from battery monitor widget & battery history from battery monitor widget for diagnosis . Please help .

Did you try to calibrate your battery? There's an app available on the market called "Battery Calibration".
Charge your phone to 100%, start Battery Calibration and choose battery calibration. Plug your phone off and let it fully discharge. Then charge it to 100% without a break.

If battery calibration doesn't help:
Flash a newer ROM.
I recommend the latest, stable version for your region => XWKJ1.
There is a non-wipe Frankenstein version from Intratech (=> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278).
Please read the first post carefully. Official Firmwares can be found in second post and Frankenstein versions (with can easily combines with different Modem and/or CSC files for other regions and/or providers) are in the third post.
After flashing the new ROM you may root your phone like described in the first post, or just flash a working CF-Root kernel from Chainfire.
For XWKJ1 CF-Root kernel XXKI4 and XWKI8 will do - as long as there is no CF-Root kernel exactly for XWKJ1.
Good luck !

Normally you have to choose battery calibration, before you unplug. but yes, that's how it works.

i was also getting weak battery backup pf 10-15hr max.....then updated to custom rom.
1.senesation 1.8 with ninphetamine 2.1.3, now i am getting more than 22-26 battery backup with use of voice call, messaging, browsing, music play.
2. i also collaborate battery by charging battery to 100%(until unplug charger comes) then drain battery until it gets switched off. then again i charge to 100% then immediately went to CWM n cleared battery stats
3. Also i am using Juice Defender
I uploaded screenshots. You can see, Its already done 13.40hr still battery is 57% left.

Dude,
Sorry to say that, but you did a bad method of battery calibration...
You are wrong.
The best and only way to calibrate accurately your battery is described here :

Take a look if you wanna do it correctly

I have a similar problem. My battery stays at 100% and prevents itself from charging. Last night I left my phone unplugged and when I woke up this morning it was still at 100% and when I plugged in the charging cable it said Phone is charged, remove charger.
This causes some real problems. Like yesterday I was using my phone then bam! The screen shut off. That was strange, I thought. It didn't look like the usual screen timeout and sleep because it didn't dim first. But then I tried pressing the power button and that didn't work either. So I took the battery out and put it back in. Still nothing. I started getting really bummed. What could be wrong? So I connected it to the charger and still nothing. Now I am getting really, REALLY bummed. Well after a minute or two on the charger I saw the big green battery come on with 0% charged level. Well, I am happy because the phone is working again, but confused because I just took the phone off the charger less than a half hour ago. Why 0% now?
I am still on totally stock, no root, no nothing. I have not tried battery calibration, but somehow I don't think it will help my problem.

After I fully charge the phone, and disconnecting it from the power, the battery suddenly drops to 96-97%, it is normal? I already made a battery calibration past week. Even after I upgraded the phone from XXKG2 to XXKG6, still the same problem here. I bought the phone last month. (by the way, it is rooted and I have on it the 2.3.4 stock)
Post some pictures of the battery usage.
And also some of bestbatterystats.
Try this: After you get the "Fully Charged" notification, try not to take it off charging immediately. Leave it on there for about 10 minutes or so and then take it off of charging, you should see it as 100%. If this does not help. Please post some screenshots of your battery usage screen, we can troubleshoot from there.

Tap your finger on graph above and screenshot that.
Did you calibrate your battery, before or after you upgraded to KG6? If you calibrated it before, then you should try calibrating it again.
1. Charge 100% (best way switch your phone off)
2. Run Battery Calibration
3. Drain the battery until it's totally empty.
4. Charge again 100% (best way switch your phone off)
5. Reboot and enjoy

I think maybe batterystats.bin was not removed, I tried to remove it with Battery Calibration app, but I didn't checked if it was or not. Tommorow or on monday I will try to post some stats from Battery Monitor Widget
That does look very much like a non calibrated battery. Try calibrating it as 'Bruaca' mentioned, and you should be getting the correct readings this time around.

I did another calibration, with the device turned off until battery riches 100%, then I turned it on, then I removed the charger, and it was on 100%, I put the charger back, again after 5 minutes I heard the signal, then I went into Root Explorer and deleted the batterystats.bin, and pulled the charger, now I have 100% + 4143mV, it's normal? or should be more mV?
4143mV sounds a little high. Mine is ~3600. Though I'm getting the opposite problem. What might happen is that I'll leave it on overnight and it'll gain 2 or 3 percent of the battery. I started getting problems charging after I installed font changer, which was also weird. Like, it'll take ages to charge to 100%.
Edit: 4143mV sounds about right for a fully charged battery.
Hi there.
this morning (12 o'clock) i wanted to use my phone and only red LED's light up when i pressed Power button! I'm pretty sure i had more than 40% Battery left when i went to bed at 01 AM.
Plugged in my phone and started it. Surprising thing was Battery at 1% and when i looked at battery stats it droped from ca 40% to 0% in an instant!
Might be time for Battery Calibration ?
okay...... just had the same problem again!
was undervolting the phone.... 750mv for 128mhz, and it crashed! had 80% Battery before. and 1% after crash, and slowly went upwards till 6%, then i rebooted.

Dear, the problem is that u must have installed a new ROM or an update without wiping your battery stats. That means ur battery infact is not showing the correct %. Infact I guess now its completely out of charge. Just reboot into recovery, wipe battery stats and then dont reboot the phone. Just take off ur battery.
Now plug in ur charger and put the battery in.
This will take the phone into offline charging. See the grey big battery icon. How much its showing ?
Offline charging actually will show u the real battery %
Charge it offline for like 20 to 30 mins and now switch on your phone.
It should be ok.
Let me know if its fixed.
Good luck

Having similar problem here.
More details:
- drops from ~40% to ~5%
- phone shuts down and after boot, battery is back at ~40%.
- it happens only when the phone is in deepsleep, if it crosses 40% when CPU is active, it's fine, but after around 6-10 hrs in DS it drops to <5% and shuts down
- after "instant drop shutdown", battery life decreases (discharging around 25% faster), also fast drop from 100% to ~90%, when it gets below 90% the drain is "back on track"
Phone specs:
> X10i UK
> Bootloader unlocked
> ROM(s): same issue on ZMOD v3, VMOD v5/v6, FXP046, testing on Wolf's Stock Mod,
> Kernel(s): DoomLord's v1.3 FS/v1.4 FS, FXP Kernel,

Had the same problem and it was the battery dying replace the battery with an exact same battery no higher or less mAh rating same mAh rating and follow instructions that come with new battery carefully then carry out battery calibration manually with wiping stats yourself and fully charging and discharging a few times to get proper battery life. I did all this and now I'm back to how it was when I first bought phone but my case was worse as mine would drop from 86% to 0% soon as it hit 86% that was it could use phone so get a new battery there cheap enough

Hi there,
maybe this is a stupid question, but last night I updated (via Kies) to 2.3.4. While the instructions in Kies said that I should do this with a fully loaded battery, I did it with 60% charge.
Now my question is, if this will have an effect of the calibration of the battery. Are the battery stats reset when a new Android version is updated? And will the battery stats now think that 60 % is 100%?
No they are not recalibrated .Calibration takes a few days .

The answer is: NO
No recalibration process takes place after regular Kies update. And you don't need to to update with fully loaded battery. Theoretically it is sufficient to have enough power for >30 minutes of operation.
make sure if you want to calibrate a battery to leave it to the max and dont discharge it during the charge....and when leaving it to drain do it again without reboots or interuptions....and always do that a few charging cycles and you be good to go...
just answering the calibration part

Once your phone gets to 100% there is a safety feature (That is completely normal) that allows your battery to drain. When it reaches a certain amount (Normally aroung 93%, but for some phones a bit less) it starts to recharge again.
This is a perfectly normal function of the phone is needed to preserve the battery life.
If its not got to 100% and starts to discharge you need to calibrate your battery. There are lots of good apps for this but I recomend Omegareds thread in the general section about battery optimisation

Clear battery stats in xrecovery and follow omagareds thread from general section.
If that doesnt work, try replacing the battery with a known good one (From a friend if you can before purchasing one) and if that works OK you know its a faulty battery

it did so because of 2 Videos he didn't recognize, i also heard the Mediaserver can run crazy if the sd card is broken.
So which app is using your batterie that much?

Can you post a screenshot from the first battery screen? That one will show which process are using the battery up. In places of the screen shot you posted, it looks like there is a problem with your phone staying awake when the screen is off.

try unistalling task killers n antivirus...hope it work.....
battery is not draining, actually it is showing wrongly .... every time after removing battery it shows actual amount of battery remaining , yesterday i charged my phone several time until it reached actually 95% and then i starts playing temple run, the battery indicator reaches at 1% within 20 mins and then it remains at 1% charged until 3 hours of continuous gaming and then shuts off, then i put it on charging and it reaches 100% within 15%
and yesterday night i put my phone again into charging and today morning it is showing 100% and after 6 hours of moderate use it is still 100%
