Anyone know if there is an app, launcher, mod, anything that will allow me to move my dockbar to the top of the screen, below the notification bar? Is it even possible?
Thanks!

I've been looking for the preferences for the launcher on nero v5 but can't find them. I just want to be able to change the actions of the buttons on the bottom of the home screen. And maybe make that background clear.
Anyone know how to adjust them?

Download "HomeSmack"
from the market. Makes changing easy.
If yoyr talking about the gingerbread launcher or tw launcer. You wont be able to make tge background clear. I suggrst you download adw launcher from the market. That is the only launcher thst im aware that lets you set a clear background on the drawer

I'm just talking about on the home screens, the buttons on the bottom for the app drawer and browser etc.
I would switch to launcher pro, but I love the app drawer in nero 5, i guess it's just the froyo launcher or something.

I like the Apps. without labels
on Launcher Pro. Much cleaner
i know what you mean. i would like to keep the phone button on the launcher but change the internet button to my sms messages. i dont want to use other launchers. does anyone know where the settings are ib the APK so i can make the change. thank you

Why not switch? You can have an identical looking dock bar like you described with the added ability to customize nearly everything.

i know what you mean. i switched to adwEx launcher but the notification bar doesnt change when i apply the theme-formely known as Nero Glass wich has the transparent backround that MWBehr made. my dialer, contacts, and notification become transparent when i use the stock launcher in bionix_v. i believe its adw based. im going to try apk manager and pull the transparency from the theme and apply it to adwEx.

If you're using ADW, untick the wallpaper hack in settings, or get GO Launcher Ex.

Im using GO Launcher Ex, tried Launcher Pro same problem on both
You guys should be more focus when you are reading my site
Important
As you should already know not each launcher supports transparent statusbar, but if you will use MultiPicture Live Wallpaper you can get transparent statusbar using any launcher , so I added wallpaper.png to the archive.

Thanks man! it worked! i guess the problem was that the status bar cant hold the scrolling effect underneath it ?
honeycomb launcher and met launcher provide transparent bar without live wp at home screen.

It works without LWP with GO Launcher EX for me.
Yeah but there is lots of launchers over the Market, so it's the best way to make it work for all of them

Mine is black :O
Might try uninstalling adw launcher..
edit: still nothing.
Selecting background with multi-live still gives me a black statusbar.
i'm getting the same problem, my statusbar is white, i'm using ADW launcher without wallpaper hack, but ican't make it works.
go get muitipicture live wallpaper.
with 'go ex-launcher' work?
need to set something in preferences?
Using EE Neutrino ROM right now.
Can you make the wallpaper for the lockscreen to be different from the wallpaper from the homescreen?
How can you change the unlock style? I have this ball I have to drag to the other side right now to unlock the screen. Is there a sliding bar? Or maybe a drag up the entire lockscreen picture type unlocker like Windows Phone 7 does?
All within CyanogenMod settings. Not sure about the lockscreen wallpaper. But you can definitely have the sliding bar. No WM7 lockscreen though, unless you get WidgetLocker.

Exactly what I wanted! Thank you! I didn't know CM7 had lockscreen settings. I guess I always missed it. >_<
I'd like to change GOSms icon with the stock SMS app icon to put it on dock and replace the stock SMS app, how can I change an app icon with touchwitz? I'd change it because GOSms icon is smaller than other icons in the dock and it's very ugly
Desktop visualizer :good:
Thanks my friend! Very useful!
I know its not a direct answer to your question but you could try another launcher. Apex Launcher allows full control over icons and titles for every item on your home screens.
Forgive me for crashing the thread, but I also need some help changing icons. I want to change the dock icons (on stock Rom) and I am using apex launcher pro. On my HTC Sensation and apex launcher, all I need to do is long press the icon and I then have the option to change it, but when I long press on sgs, the only option I get is to remove app. I am sure it must be simple, can someone help me out. Thanks.
I feel a bit stupid now. After uninstalling all third party launchers and re-installing them, I now have all the correct options to edit the dock icons.

is there any way to change the stock icon in the touchwiz lock screen? I can use desktop visualizer to create the shortcut with new icon on the dock, but touchwiz lock screen icons I cannot change to customize.

Howdy
I'm constantly modding my android and had an idea the other day. I think I'd be best to make the status bar disappear or hide it. I have a custom Rom that allows that but I want the option of still being able to swipe down to check it.
What's the best to hide the status bar but still be able to swipe down to check it?
Thanks !

Apex launcher can do this.

Try a custom launcher. Nemus launcher lets you hide the bar and reshow it by swiping down.

try GMP from market it allows you to set specific gesture for an action.
You can set a gesture of your choice to hide status bar, and it will work no matter where you are or running on your phone
Swyped from my Samsung Galaxy SII
Thanks I'll check them out.

Great I use apex but Where? I found the option to hide the status bar but that won't let my swipe down to access it. It gets rid of it completely.

i use ADW launcher ex all the time,
adw settings>general behavior>gestures>swipe down/swipe up>show/hide status bar
Any of you guys able to provide a link to a no0b friendly guide to modifying framework to hide status bar permanently i.e; within apps not just on home? I'm using kk and most guides seem to be ics and jb.
