Hey gus - HERE is my question for the pros
Recently i was exploring the /system/app directory in my UD installation.
And u know what i found: the apk named in title...
But hey - I never saw an app or a service in my archos showing me the weather...
When starting it - the apk wanted to install - but it didn't work - also not if I tried to install from another place (thought i could make problems installing an app from /system/app to /system/app...)
Is there ANYONE knowing anything about a weather app from archos?
EDIT: Attached the file - perhaps anyone can figure it out...

Hi
I have rooted my phone
I'm trying to find/delete the chinese HWR
I've looked through all the threads and they say the file is called SEMCTouchPalChinese.apk in the /system/app folder
I can't find this there, or any other folder or any other similar file anywhere on the phone
The applications settings app still shows the application
actually
I'm interested in installing this...
anyone want to pull this for the community?
hi,
im also wanna know how to delete the chinese HWR keyboard and replace it with english keyboard.....
the app is touchpal
hi everybody.
I would like to have the old keyboard from my xperia arc on my SGS2. I have already done what is suggested in this thread. However, I can not install textinput-tng.apk. I get a "Application not installed" message.
So I transferred anything i could find in this /system Folder that seemed to have something to do with textinput to the respective folders on my phone. If the folder didn't exist, I created it. It had no effect for better or for worse.
This thread isn't any help either, so I went and posted here...
Can anyone help me how to install the SE Stock textinput on my SGS2? I am running CM7.
Thanks in advance.
Has anyone tried to reinstall the stock asus Keyboard app?
I know it's the "keyboard.apk".
I tried to install it via root explorer by moving it to /system/app then giving it all permissions and rebooting. But it still won't show up.
Any ideas?
The stock keyboard isn't inside Keyboard.apk; that only contains the shortcuts for the Asus dock keys. The Asus Keyboard is inside XT9IME.apk.
**Edit**
Never mind I found it on this old post. You need these files:
Needed for software keyboard:
XT9IME.apk
/system/lib/libjni_xt9input.so
/system/lib/libjni_xt9kcm.so
/system/usr/xt9
I yanked these out of the revolver rom and put them in place with root explorer.
Now I'm good to go. Thanks agentdr8.

I know this is an old post, but it's the only thread where I found someone was able to successfully install the Asus keyboard on a custom ROM. I have the files you listed, but I'm unable to copy them to the required folders. I tried with a regular file explorer as well as a root explorer. I am running CM10.1, rooted of course.

So I found another thread which included a file called asus_keyboard.zip which I simply needed to download and install from recovery mode, but after doing that when I select the Asus Keyboard I just keep getting the error message "Unfortunately Asus Keyboard has stopped". And it keeps popping up every 2 seconds until I disable it. Any ideas?
Here's where I found it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1542502&highlight=keyboard
Hi everyone, I always solved my problems just by reading other threads and it solved, but now I'm stuck and can't find any thread to solve the problem.
Here it is, my problem:
I wanted to translate the Settings.apk into my language, and decompiled/recompiled it, then copied it to my Tab, and replaced the Settings.apk in system/app with the new one by Root Explorer, but the problem is that when I reboot my GT P1010 I cannot find the Settings icon in Applications
I don't know where the problem is...
Any Help ...?

Hi! I just wanted to say that I solved the problem, and now I can edit my Settings.apk how I want.
After many searching in google and inside this forum, and many many trying I found a way how to compile my apk and then being recognized by my device.
1) I just compile my edited apk
2) and then open the new_apk aside with the original_apk by 7zip
3) then Drag&Drop the resources.arsc from the new_apk to the original_apk close it,
4) and then push original_apk with adb into my device,
5) copy to /system/app/ by Root Explorer, Fix Permissions and Reboot.
That's all, if someone had this problem here is the solution...
:good: Have nice developing...
Still not working
Tried every possible way
Hi Ya'll -
I rooted my Galaxy S5 and may have gotten in over my head. I accidentally deleted the calendarprovider apk and , of course none of my calendars sync, which for a working single mom is basically the end of the world. Sigh. Tmobile SM-G900T Android 4.4.2 - Using Root Explorer
I've done my fair share of googling, but I'm just not experienced enough to put together all of the info and fix it. I think what I need to know is:
-is there a specific version of calendarprovider.apk that I need, and where do i get it from?
-once i download it, I need specific instructions on how and where to install it (Full path of appropriate folder).
Is there anything else I need to know how to fix it?
Thanks in advance for your help and your patience.
