Hi,
Is there a way to get rid of the samsung dock without applying a custom ROM.
I'm currently running KI8 on my rooted and overclocked P7510

I have Honeycomb 3.1 installed as 3.2 is not yet available for my region. What's the best custom rom for the 10.1 at the moment? I'm a real Android noob. Thanks in advance!
PS: Sorry I forgot to say that my Tab is 3G+WiFi!

yes, but its awesome, and you just lose 3g capability i believe.
also, in the future, you need to put all questions in the Q&A section.
Loosing 3g capabilities is a big loss..
Regarding your comment about questions being posted in the Q&A forum, I think this question has to do with the content of this post, so I don't see the need to such a remark...
Anyway, thanks and have a Merry Christmas
That may be true, however I believe this thread belongs in the Q&A, which is what he was referring to, not your specific post.

for the 3G version, Overcome's 2.1.1 is still the benchmark rom, couple of others are now available (such as Bindroid and Ganbarou) and do not appear to have any issues either, so its all personal prefernece and what appearance you want to have.
Overcome, Bindroid and Ganbarou roms all work with Pershoot's kernel if you want to OC -- otherwise there is just the stock kernel.
Latest base firmware KK# running Honeycomb 3.2 appears to be robust and a good firmware from which the custom roms are built.
Hello guys,
I am experienced in flashing roms and whatever... I already did this hundreds of times with a Galaxy S, Asus Transformer and now with my Galaxy Nexus.
I have a Galaxy Tab 10.1 (3G+wifi). I tried to install CM9 but it didn't work. And man... I really tried a loooot!!!
Well... now I am trying to use the regular stock rom in my Galaxy Tab and everytime the screen turns itself off and I turn it on again, it flickers!!! It's VERY annoying since I have to turn off the tablet to be able to use it again.
I have a nandroid backup and I restored it, but it didn't work... it still flickers!!! =P
I also tried to flash some recovery files: http://droidbasement.com/db-blog/?p=2487 like you guys recommended in some other posts.
But it didn't work, too.
Guys... I am getting a little desperate in here... I have been searching for an answer for this for days.
Can anyone help me, please?
Have you tried to use ODIN to flash back to stock?

Hello 9xnine, thank you for your reply. Unhappily I don't have a stock rom (and it seems there's none available - Brazil's model).
Anyway restoring a nandroid backup (like I did) would be the same than flash a stock rom back, right?
Theoretically yes but I often find that Nandroid's won't work for a number of reasons. ODIN is and always has been my friend.
Try this. Looks like the ZVV build is for Brazil

Flash by Odin rom from this link:http://www.hotfile.com/dl/145473375/7dd41d4/P7510UEKMP_P7510XABKMP_XAB.zip.html
This is a rom for 7510 but it works with 7500. Then you have to upload the latest CWM and CM9.
For me it works.
The method described in this issue.

Hey Guys,
i've just rooted my SGS2, because i want to use an app which is only allowed to run if rooted. But right now, i don't want to get on a custom ROM, i just want to have the original one!
Is it possible to download the original firmware and flash that? I've found this one: http://www.hotfile.com/dl/177165189/92b3c68/I9100XWLPY_I9100HTDLP6_HTD.zip.html do you think that will do? (The name of the firmware is: 9100XWLPY_I9100HTDLP6_HTD.zip)
I'm from Denmark btw.
I would be really really happy if you can answer this!

If you are only rooted you are still on original ROM. If you flash the ROM you will take away the root.

As far as my expertise goes, you'll have to flash Stock ROM inorder to get JB which means you will loose root..
And also, it's not very hard to root your phone on JB.. the whole process of flashing stock to JB and then rooting can't take more than 5-6 mins if you're prepared.

Use OTA root keeper from the playstore
Or.......search for chainfires mobile odin thread here on xda.
Download the app and the correct flashkernel....install both and use to flash the firmware you want.....don't forget to enable 'ever root'.

recovery for this device is stored in the kernel actually, so you need to flash a custom kernel if you haven't yet, hit up the the dev section and read the official xda vibrant bible and get yourself a bit more familiar with this device.
