Hello guys!
Do you have an idea of a working skype version for the X10 Mini, not for Mini Pro?
I'm running CM7 2.0.7, but all the skypes I've tried on it are unstable - they crash suddenly, restart themselves, can not login after they've restarted, they want force close or exit and so on.
I've tried the moded skype 2.1.0.46, but when I turn on "force video calling" option it wants to restart and is unable to login after that, because of constant crashing on sign in.
I've tried an older stock version(from the market) of it, from which I've had a backup, but it is also unstable.
The last market version of the program wants to be reinstalled, but after the reinstall the same problems occur - message "skype should be reinstalled" appears again after some work.
So, do you have a working version of skype for X10 mini, CM7 v7, Gingerbread 2.3.5? I already know that video calling is not possible on the mini for now, but any working and stable version of it at least?
Thanks in advance!
Well, gyus, I accept your silence as a recognition, that there is no good working version of skype for the Mini, or that you don't use skype on your phone at all.
I'm using version 1.0.0.983 on the mini pro. Dunno if it will work on the mini .
Thank u, mate!
I've been searching for such an old and stable version of skype for a long time! It's really stable on first use and I think it's perfect for the Mini! I've been using this version for a while, before I had done the updates to the newer craps with so many "options", that are not compatible with the Mini's processor and actually make the program an unstable crap.
Strange but... after a few days of use this old version of skype also logged off itself with no reason. I was even not touching the phone at that moment. The internet connection hasn't stopped at all.
I don't know what's the reason for that, maybe the Gingerbread, which seems to be quite unstable on the mini.
I've noticed that skype is disconnecting suddenly even when there is more than 30MB of free RAM memory on the phone.

About a week ago, I moved to GingerDX Pro, and I was missing some of the SE 2.1 Stock Applications, such as Notes, Stopwatch, and Timer. I tried to install them, but apparently the XML definition of those applications is not valid. I'll try to edit & repack the original 2.1 apks and see if they work on 2.3 GingerDX, at least with these three apps.
BTW, GingerDX comes with a (I think it is) better SMS application the SE Conversations. Also, if the video browser that comes on GDX is too basic for you, try mVideoPlayer from the Android Market. As for the calendar, have you tried the Android Stock Calendar that comes tih GDX?

Mainly i want calender and notes.
In the android market should be "Sony Ericsson apps"
After trying a couple of Froyo and Gingerbread roms I've gotten back to the Eclair 2.1 one with the black Rom. I think it gives me a faster performance, better stability and consumes way less battery. Anyway, I miss some things.
a) A decent Contacts/Phonebook/Phone calls app
b) I've managed to install the dual touch driver in the phone but some apps doesn't seem to care
The default internet browser.
Google maps
Photo gallery (doesn't matter since I found the installer of the gallery in cyanogen CM7 V20 mod.
My questions are:
Would it be possible to install the contacts app and the internet browser of Froyo or Gingerbread in Eclair?
How can I make Google Maps realize that my phone supports dual touch?
Try TouchPal Dialer, it's very good and free.
As for browsers, I'd recommend Ninesky or Opera Mini.

I've tried Opera mini and it's OK, but it's nothing compared to the default browser and I prefer the second even when it doesn't recognize the dual touch. I'll try the other two apps you say, but the thing is that I wanna know if there's a way I could bring the apps from a 2.3 ROM to a 2.1 one.
Tried touchpad dialer -> It's an OK app, but it sends me to my default app when I wanna edit, which doesn't solve the annoying problem of eclair when you merge contacts. It randomly chooses the name of the contact (Facebook, Twitter or the Name I gave it).
Tried also Ninesky -> Doesn't recognise my dual touch.
Hey guys,
I recently installed my first Rom onto my Xperia X8, i used Racht's Floyo 1.0 (2.2.5 build 1.5b) but i'm having some issues with this rom such as:
Android Market not working (i.e version that come with the rom, 2.3.4, 3.1.3 and 3.4.4) it continously Force Closes therefor i have to uninstall market updates and use original, but it continually updates itself to my frustration.
Lag issues, although its stated on Android Forums and on other sites that Racht's rom is the best rom to use, i have noticed a lot of lags and delays throughout this rom, most noticable when scrolling through menu's.
Everything else as far as i can tell works.
Any help would be great.

hi
i used to have a x10 mini, now i have this great phone that is the xperia mini pro
but, i had the minicm7, a cyanogenmod that had the feature of sync'ing your account, including wifi settings and everything, but the stock rom does not have this.. is there any way to have this on sk17 ? it was really cool.
I don't know if it was a CM7 feature or not, but I'm almost sure that after I finished configuring my SK17 with 4.0.2.A.0.58 my settings was recovered, including wifi spots and wallpaper..
Abraço!
I see..
Maybe its a 2.3.4 feature, since mine is a sk17a 2.3.3 (claro) version.. =(
