And I did the steps as following as here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13467498&postcount=4 but for some reason when I choose "Choose zip from SDcard" Its writing: "No files found".
Can someone help?

Just go to ur recovery then go to mounts and storage and toggle mount USB storage and connect ur USB cable to PC and copy the zip file of the rom to the root of SC card. Means without any folder just put it in the SD card and the unmount USB and then go to flash from SD and select the zip and flash!

Hello all, I am a noob. I tried to install my first rom, OpenOptimus 1.48, from this tread :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1033653
I followed the instructions, wich said to get the file on the sd card then partition the card, then I get my phone able to boot in colckworkmod recovery but nothing else, file not found for install the rom because the partition is formated.. We are c urrently 2 noobs that this happened at the end of the posts on that tread.
So this is a kind of catch-22, now the compuiter wont recognize the usb, wich is the best method to get it working again now ? I am currently trying to get adb, if someone knows the treads to look for I'll be happy.
Thanks from Canada
Eh, the instructions do not say any such thing like to put something on SD card and then format/partition it. Anyway,
Either download the SDK, connect the phone via USB cable and do
Code:
adb push openOptimus-build-X.XXX.zip /sdcard/openOptimus-build-X.XXX.zip
and flash it from recovery like the instructions say,
or simply remove the SD card from phone and use a card reader to copy it there in PC.
Just mount usb storage from recovery and connect it to pc. The card will be recognized and then copy the zip file.

at the first page :
at the first page, instructions looks like that :
"
4.Go to Advanced>Partition SD Card
512 EXT(Do not create it if you do not want a2sd)
0 Swap
Remainder FAT32
5.Go into the main recovery menu and select "wipe data/factory reset"
6.Go to Mounts and storage>format /system
7.Go into the main recovery menu and select "install zip from sdcard"
8.Select "choose zip from sdcard"
"
So then I got the file on , then formated, so no more recovery . I have clockworkmod 3.1.0.0 installed.
I am trying to get ADB working, will try that. But looking at the instructions, is it me that is not understanding them well enough or are they written strangely ?
Thanks ;-)

Yes, the instructions do say that, but instead of blindly following them you should have realized that after partitioning the sd card all data would be deleted.
Anyway, the way to do this is after partitioning, select mount usb storage in recovery and connect it to ur pc(while still in recovery). The card will be recognized and you can copy the zip file. Then you can flash the zip.

I assumed he already tried that and it did not work (b/c of the "now the compuiter wont recognize the usb" part of the OP). Anyway, if not, then that is obviously the most easy way to get the file there.
Man I think your stock rom should still be working. Reboot and it should boot into your previous rom. And USB should work. Even in recovery u can mount sdcard.

I got a sd-adapter...
Well, no usb-mount while in recovery, adb is complicated to install and so I went to the store and got a micro-sd adapter and a new card with more capacity. Then no more complication to install the rom to the card & phone..
Thanks folks
After using Odin, I have this problem
'E:Can't mount /Cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /Cache/recovery/log....'
Then I wipe it. It is success.
But when I choose zip from sdcard
It said E:can't mount /sdcard/
How can I solve it?
I can't boot my gs2 now!
Answer me please
Just try to reflash with odin most of the times this solves the problem.
if not try another firmware (rom)

I have reflash many times
I can't boot and can't read my internal sd, how can I flash another rom?
Using CWM, you can mount /sdcard.
Check mounts and storage menu.
Also try "Mount Usb storage", connect to pc and check if comp detects your phone.

Try flashing one of the rooted kernels using Odin.

Currentlyhaving the same issue.
This is a kernel issue. It happened to one of the 2.x Siyahkernel beta versions. Simplest solution is to boot the phone and use CWM to flash a different kernel using the tar format (instead of the zip format good for use in recovery mode) (flash a kernel version that's known to be without this problem).
If you can't get past the boot screen, just use odin. But then if you can't get past the boot screen you probably need to flash a ROM over anyway.
I am having the same issue with my internal SDCARD
I cannot access my internal SDCARD. When I insert my external (/removeable) sdcard, recovery sees that as the SDCARD.
I have tried to mount/ dismount/ usmount the internal SDCARD - same error.
THIS is the TMOBILE T989 and we got it yesterday - brand new.
So, I did get it to work from the removeble SDCARD, but I am so use to using the internal SDCARD on my VIBRANT as the primary resource for ROMS, etc, and the external SDCARD as a backup - that it is kinda strange to work now with only one SDCARD (the ext).
It must be something in the recovery that does not see the primary SDCARD...
CAn anyone help, please?
Note that CWM 4 and CWM 5 behave differently with respect to internal and external sd cards (well CWM 4 simply doesn't do external sd card). It'd be your best interest to flash a kernel that comes with a CWM version 4.x.x and for sure internal sdcard will work.
In CWM4, internal sdcard is /sdcard. External card is /emmc. (you can only format external sdcard but not write to it nor mount it.
In CWM5, you can restore nandroid backup from internal sdcard (but you can flash updates from both) . And in the CWM app, default backup location is the external sdcard.
Those who are having problems with CWM 5, flash this version of CWM from your CWM!
http://www.mediafire.com/file/h1yia0gt1sbnbie/cwm-4.0.1.5.zip
You will have cwm 4.
Hello. i'm trying to flash omega rom, i downloaded it a copule of times and did an md5 check, the file is ok. i searched everywhere but i didn't find a solution. i'm kind of new with this, so i will really appreciate some help... thanks!
try formatting your sdcard, then place the zip and flash it..
tried it
i tried it and it still doesn't work. when i try to install from the internal card i get: E:can't open emmc...
someone?
If you are running latest cwm, your micro sd card is not emmc.
Flash from sdcard not internal sdcard.
i tried that too and it didn't work.. installing a newer CWM can help?
Download CMW.zip from turbobit(dot)net/24a3a40uri08(dot) html. Keep it in external sd card, launch recovery mode. Then reboot to recovery.Choose apply update from external storage. Choose CWM.zip and wait until CWM recovery appear. Choose install zip from sdcard or external SD. Select and install your ROM.

Hi!
I think I have bricked my phone (it bootloops), but I still can get into CWM Recovery.
Is there any way to access my SD card inserted into my phone from my PC if I'm in recovery on the phone?
Thanks!

The only problem is that under ICS, Mounts and Storage > Mount USB Storage seems to only give an error message:
"E:Unable to open ums lunfile (No such file or directory)"
Ok ... Do you have card reader? If not then try mount USB storage with another kernel .. That you can easily do via flash tool right ? The problem happened to me once..

Had same prob on ics. Just flash another kernel (if bl is unlocked) or try a cardreader as rachit.rc96 told you. Otherwise you will have to flash the stock rom or if you did a nandroid backup before, just restore it...

hmmm ur sdcard partition may be corrupted then
do u have mount/extsd option in cwm?
if u have this option try mount extsd if this doesn't help too,u must unfortunately flash stock rom
What format is the card in? Some CWM versions might not like certain formatting. Have you checked on the thread for CWM for your device to see if others have issues mounting their SD card? Are you able to mount the SD card via PC with other readers? Might need to either try a different version of the recovery if available or to reformat the card via PC (make sure you backup stuff to the PC first as it will wipe everything).
