then i press and hold the power for 30 seconds. nothing happen.
anyone experienced this please help...

Plug it into the genuine charger and leave it for half an hour, see if anything happens.
If still nothing happens and you try holding Power+Home for about 10 seconds and still nothing happens, then it might be spare parts.

Not to sad like an ass but on mine you have press the power button like a man. I had the same issue in my first night with it.

Mine totally died like this. Had to send it in. Came back all better.

Twist off and twist on the replaceable plug on the charger (requires some muscle). Many users reported their units were not charging properly because of the poor connection.
Then charge your TouchPad for 10 minutes, then try turning it on using the power button. If that fails try the hard reset by holding power and center button for 30 seconds.
These devices are said to be unbrickable, as USB is said to be connected directly to CPU, so one kind of boot or another should always be possible. (Unless of course the hardware is defective, can't do much then)

[Q] Power problems??? weird!

I saw a similar question to this in the general section from back in July but no replies, so I will try this again here and see if anyone has seen this.
Sometimes when I try to power on the phone, the power button seems to do nothing. I press and hold or just a short press and the phone will not turn on. Then randomly it will just turn on. I have noticed in the past that unplugging the charger cable (either wall or USB) seems to help it power up after a few tries. The most recent time this happened, I pulled the battery and tested the voltage with a multimeter set to DC and it displayed the OL (over limit?) similar to what it does when the value is out of range. I tested all the combinations of the 4 connections and the same thing happened on all the proper +/- combinations. I set there for a minute trying to decide if I was crazy and when I tried it again, it showed 4.30V. I put the battery back in the phone and it powered right up.
Anyone else???

i rarely turn it completely off. generally, i reboot thru adb shell which avoids the issue.
on the few occasions i've turned it completely off, i have noticed that pressing and holding the power button didn't turn it on. i had to just tap the power button and it turned on.
i'd agree, there is something odd about the power on button compared to my ns4g and old evo ...
i don't think you're crazy, it is probably a consisently odd issue. hopefully the reassure helps!
HTC, intermittently brilliant.
Maybe something to do with this issue:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1315345&highlight=power+button+double
My 3vo was doin that also.the only way I was able to power on was through adb reboot bootloader then select reboot.after a few times of doin this it works fine

I too have had the same issue since i upgraded to CWM 5.0.2.0 don't no if your using the same recovery? I have also read in a couple of the development threads in the gsm section that holding the camera button whilst turning on works if it doesn't power on normally
Worth a try if it happens again.

[Q] Is there any real fix for sleep of death?

Dear all,
I have my new tab (64Gb/3G/wifi) for one week and I cannot power on since few days.
I'm sure that the battery is full because it was in charge all the night.
I tried many things (holding power button during 5, 10, 30, 120 seconds, holding power and volume left button) but each attempt failed.
I just know that when I connect it to the laptop, Windows sounds as it is recognizing an USB device but 2 seconds later sounds as the device was removed....
Is there any way to fix the problem? Have I to send the tab to the samsung support?
Thanks for your help... :-(

Mine does it occasionally. I hold the power button down for a long time and let go - repeating as necessary until it revives itself.

Mine doesn't revive with that....
That's why I need to know if there is a real fix for this issue...
Try holding power and volume down button at the same time dor aprox. 15 seconds. Then you should see the "download" logo. Then press volume down to switch to CVM - acknowledge with volume up. Then in CVM just choose reboot.
Hope it helps you

I'm leaning toward faulty.
This one looks to have worked for mine - Tab locked up and died on Sunday, and *fingers crossed* looks to have just come back to life (within the last 10 mins so am not 100% sure).
Leave the battery to discharge completely. Then charge it up. That's it.
With the lack of screen output, the only way i could see to tell if the battery is dead is to plug it into a PC via the USB cable. If you get ADX mode then it's not discharged. Leave it a bit and try again. When you plug it in, if it doesn't show ADX mode make sure you press and hold the power button for a few seconds to make sure it isn't just turned off.
**Edit**
Looking good so far. Am leaving it to charge for a bit before i turn it on but i can at least now press the power button briefly to get the battery indicator
**Edit 2**
Having left it to charge for a couple of hours i then took the plunge. Booted up no problem so it looks like this has worked for me.
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

I have this same issue. Mine was fine went to bed woke up and it was dead no life at all. I have done all button combos different cords and factory chargers nothing. I even swapped the battery for a new factory samsung battery inside nothing. i dont get anything when I plug it into my computers though no found sound or anything. I left the battery unhooked for an hour before connecting it to the board inside also. I now have the power button taped pressed for last 2 hours hopeing that will drain the battery like other have done and then I will try to hook it back up to a charger. Any other ideas why it was fine then next day dead?
Yes exist a fix back to 4.0.4 stock recovery and all bugs gone for me that works

[Q] can't get into usb mode - White battery with question mark logo screen

I noticed that my hp touchpad was shutting down while in standby. I immediately thought it was a autoupgrade and so when it booted up and started installing the new webos I panicked and hit the power and home buttons to prevent the upgrade because I have CM7 alpha 3.5.
When I booted it up again I could only see a battery icon with a question mark in the middle. I can't make my win7 pc recognize the tablet and nor does the hp doctor for the same reason.
Does anyone have a clue how I can fix this? I know that some people in the past had this same issue that was caused by faulty usb cable or not having the battery correctly inserted (for other webos devices) but this is not the case. Just before I canceled the upgrade I had 20% battery and I had it plugged in and charging.
Thanks.
Don't know if you already tried it or if it helps, but charge your TP with the original charger and your cable while the icon appears. After app. 2 h charging (should be sufficient) try to reboot it (power + mid button) into recovery mode (vol up button). If this does'n work (no reboot or something) try to force reboot (hold power button and press 10 times the home button quite fast) into recovery mode. After that, the USB icon should appear and doctoring should work (exept if you have created an extf3 partition which has to be removed BEFORE doctoring).
Hope it helps...
Best, z3no
I had it plugged in yesterday for most of the day and nothing happened apart from booting up to the same screen. Left it during the night unplugged and now can't get it to boot again. Just a bank screen , nothing happens. I have it plugged in for the last 2h but nothing changed.
Basics
Have you tried holding both the power button and the "center" or "home" button down for about 20 seconds? Release when you see the HP logo. That should force a hard reset. It saved my bacon when I had a problem caused by the new WebOS update.

thanks. I did it for more than a minute and nothing. I can't get any response from it now.
Try another charger, maybe the one you have is faulty?
There is also a posibility that the cable is now bad. I had a friend have the similar symptoms. It turned out he was abusing his cable to the point is was intermittent. He'd plug it in and think it was charging, just to come back and find it black screen, dead. He replaced it with his Blackberry charge cable (micro USB) and he's good to go.
I had the same issue with charging from day one I found that both of my touchpads
Had issues charging With the touchpad cables
the cable to me seems very flimsy so I went out and bought two blackberry cables and I have had no problems since then and the cables feel a lot better made than the hp cables
So just before going for extreme measures (aka open the device) I decided to phone HP that told me that they were going to collect the device free of charge because it's still under warranty (they confirmed that). The problem is what if they find out that I had and Ext3 with android on it? will they charge me for the fix? because the issue must be in the battery (once it can not even charge or boot). But can they fix the battery but then charge me because later they find out about the CM7 stuff? Thanks for your help

SM-T560 charge/boot issue.

Hi,
I got hold of one of these tablets that appeared dead, left it charging overnight and it started without issue, the battery was at 67% at this point.
I then shut it down and held the Home + VolUp + Power to enter download mode as I wanted to install TWRP.
Nothing happened, but not only that, the tablet failed to boot again whatsoever. I took the back off and unplugged the battery, held the power button down for 30-40 seconds, reattached battery, still nothing, so I decided to leave it on charge for a bit more and try to figure it out later.
Later came along, and I picked up the tablet and for some reason pushed the home button 3 times and it displayed the battery icon, showing 100%, great!
It still won't boot though and I haven;t been able to reproduce whatever I did to get it to show the battery icon again.
I've tried every combination of holding down Home/VolUp/VolDown and Power that I can think of for different amounts of time and still nothing.
Had it plugged into the computer too and monitored dmesg for any signs of life and still nothing.
I'm thinking (but hoping not) that it might be a physical problem with the power button, but it feels fine when pressed.
Is there some magic trick that I don't know about that could help here?
Many thanks.,
g
EDIT: I have left it plugged in for a few hours and periodically the battery icon appears for a while (now at 99%), then disappears. Tried to switch it on with the power button while the icon is on the screen but no go, same with different button combos.

Won't Boot or Charge

Hello,
I was playing a game on my Black Shark 3 Pro and it just shutoff. Now, if I press and hold the power button, nothing happens. If I plug the charger in, it doesn't charge. The phone seems to be completely dead.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this before and what ended up happening? Is this something that can even be diagnosed if I take it to a repair place? I'm assuming they'll have to take it apart and if they can't fix it, I'll get charged anyway for the work of taking it apart. Is there any hope?
Thanks,
Ben
While this is not normal behavior, here are some things you can try. First, power-cycle the device by holding the power button for 20 seconds, 5 times. Attempt to start the phone by holding down the power button and the volume-down button at the same time. This will start recovery mode where you can perform a factory reset. If this does not solve your problem, please follow these steps:
1) Let your phone rest for 12 hours (do not charge);
2) Charge with the official charger and cable for 6 hours;
3) After 6 hours, disconnect then reconnect your phone to the charger. A low battery screen should appear;
4) Do not attempt to boot. Allow it charge for 1 more hour;
5) After 1 hour, your device should be ready to boot and power-on.
if those methods don't work, give your phone to phone repair place
