You can try doing a hard reset following these procedures:
1- With the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and DOWN buttons, and then briefly press the POWER button.
2- Wait for the screen to show the instructions on how to do the factory reset, and then release the VOLUME UP and DOWN buttons.
3- Follow the instructions onscreen to factory reset your phone.
It should solve your problem, if not try using the Windows Phone support tool:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2530409
Tks for the reply. I tried the hard reset but then it went straight to enter usb mode funny thing is that this ph has never been connected to pc or any attempt to upgrade...mind boggles

Hello,
I need your help, please. Indeed, I tried my T959 using rooter odin3, the process starts going good, but a step T959 screen displays red. and rest stops like this, then I noticed step: factory ..
and now when I turn on, it displays a black screen. and when I try the combination of buttons (vol up / down and power up and power or flight) it displays a black screen and it will switch off, he continues like that.
I tried all the methods on the forum but with no result

plz help
i got the same problem, please help me......................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Make sure your phone is off.
If you have stock bootloaders hold volume up and volume down while plugging in your usb cord. If you guys have gingerbread bootloaders hold volume up and press the power button. If those don't work you might need to try a usb jig, www.mobiletechvideos.com sells them for around $5. There are youtube videos showing how to make a usb jig yourself for a couple bucks if you would rather do that.
Ps: this thread is super old. Just search next time, there are plenty of other threads covering this.

to all facing those odin problems restart your computer and use the usb ports in the back of your computer if you are using those then try a different port ... take the battery out of your phone take the sim card out and micro sd out let sit for 5 min then plug the wire back to the phone without anything no sim/sd or battery then while holding your phone hold both vol up and down buttons then put your battery back in and should be in download mode lemme know good luck :thumbs up: MAKE SURE YOU REPARTION!! and have the right odin files need help PM me
Dear friends
I tried to change my icons by replacing the framework.res file which put me in bootloop, I had to remove my battery ( by removing the 10 screws on the back) to power off the device then put it in the fastboot to reflash the rom.
my question is there an easier way to deal with the bootloop without removing the battery?? (I hope so)
I think if you press vol up + power and wait till you have 3 vibrations.

Yea, that should have definitely worked. There are other threads I believe where people had bootloops, and the device has successfully powered down.
I am quoting this directly from dooms "All you need to know thread": http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1526866 (which you probably should have read before doing modifications)
while device is power ON
Volume Up + POWER (for 10 seconds) -> resets the battery, its like removing the battery and putting it back in [device will vibrate once]
Volume Up + POWER (for additional 5 seconds, total 15 seconds) -> will power off hard, device will power down [device will vibrate thrice]

Try to time it when it starts its loop again, I don't see why you should ever have to remove your battery to reset, there hasn't been a problem yet that the key combos haven't solved.

Bootloop Issues
My phone the Sony Xperia Go... Has a boot-loop problem. it starts up and immediately goes into boot loop, (I lost power during the update because of a broken USB cord). I have tried the volume down button while plugging in the phone into the computer and it connects as an unknown device, but drops out too quickly for windows to find a driver for it. I have tried resetting it by holding the up and off buttons once it has been stuck in boot loop for a while but it wont connect to the computer. Any one else had this problem? how did you fix it?
when i press vol up and power keys together it's vibrant and turning off by do not entering flash mode. Any one please tell me correct way to hard reset ... sorry for my english

I think the best is flash stock ftf file with flashtool!
i agree with Khalil last info;
prerequisites of using flashtool is the appropiate drivers and android adb connection parameter fullfilled and stock ftf file stored on you harddrive.. (i hope you have all of the above succesful) if not then search in XDA for the proper setup..
flash mode is using USB cable and mobile, mobile alone cannot go into flash mode...
sorry what are you trying to do ??? bit unclear with your theory of hard reset..
sorry for my explanation... actually yesterday onwards my phone is not turning on it's hanging on boot screen .. my friend says me do a factory reset or hard reset your phone your phone will be normal .. that's why i want to hard reset my phone. Here i saw some threads to do hard reset ... but they don't work. I know the method force shutdown and force restart .. my problem is stuck at boot screen any one know about hard reset please tell me how to do that .... thanks ...

buoy you will have to flash the ftf file using flashtool as mentioned by KHALIL................ It will install a fresh stock rom on your device...........
If:
-Bootloader is locked: Repair phone using SUS phone repair. Since you can get boot animation, getting into flashboot is not a problem.
-Bootloader is unlocked: Repair phone using flashtool. Flash any ICS stock ftf file using flashtool.
is flashing diiferent version can fix certain bug?
im running europe version ics on my sola.my problem is my battery %.ive done a lot of tutorials.but nothing happens.should i flash an indian version?
I know, I know that this question has been always on the forums but mine is different. It really won't open!
Tried the hard reset thing, nope it doesn't work at any combo.
Flashtool? Nope it won't work. PC never detected it. Pressing the volume up / down button won't work so is the camera and the power before plugging, during, and after the USB.
I don't know what else to do!! :
I need your help experts And no, I don't want to send it to repair centers

when you try to plug it in the red LED works
EDIT: while plugging it in, the red LED disappears instead of turning into color green (fully charged)
Try to leave it on and connected with flashtool and watch the flashtool window. It helped me once when I messed flashing. Flashtool it detectrd after one or two minutes and I flashed stock tft.

but it's working great before it. it just turned out to be like that when I was changing the sim card.
tried flashtool but i can't connect the phone. i'm in the part where you have to press the back button (volume - or +) when connecting it.
Dont try flash, just turn on, eg hatd reset (volume up+power on/off button) and let it connected, dont try go to cwm. Just let it lets say boot, I know, screem is dark but after while youll see in flashtool main window that phone is detected, it took me one or two mins to get it. Then you can try fastboot and flash correct kernel. And try to remove the SIM card or insert the old one.

hard reset combos: power + vol up / power + vol down / vol up + vol down / power + vol up + vol down. I've tried them all. not a newbie here so don't treat me like one please
rom + kernel = pure blood sola v2. i don't think it's the rom's fault tho since my sister has the same rom and her's works like a charm. the rom has been in the phone for more than 2 months without any problems (my phone's). files are accessible and photos are transferable.
How did the problem arise? everything was working great till i changed the sim card. then poof! it won't work anymore. to be honest it wasn't my phone. i'm just trying to fix it
not turning on. no power. no backlights meaning its not the display problem. when you plug it in via usb / wall charger there's a red LED but after an hour it disappears.
really need your help guys
could work
I have a Xperia U and triying to port JB to it I briked two or three times.
I hold power botom and it vibrate and doesnt happen anything ok.?¿
The possible solution could be this(for my works)
Charge the phone like 1 hour for my doesnt charge with the animation but its for security.
With the nest steps you are going to lose all CWM and tweaks and apks but personal data still there.
You have two options:
Flash a new rom with flashtool, but when you pluged with volum - you hold it for allmost all process becose for my i conect to PC and its goes quikly so i cant do annything.
If the phone is not recognised by Flashtool:
You have to repair it with PC Companion or Bridge for Mac, and also the same hold volum - almost all process.
For my it works, tell my if for you works:cyclops::cyclops::cyclops:

--EDIT
Problem solved
i have encounter the same problem but i after i read this post, i revive again my phone, by just flashing the original kernel using flashtool and hold the fastboot key or the volume up key until the flashing was finished,
I am trying to factory reset the HTC One Max from sprint and it's not letting me for some reason. Every site I go to says you hold the volume down key and power when the phone is off, but that keeps booting up the phone and it doesn't bring me to H-Boot. How do I factory reset this thing??
Anyone?
It can be a touchy process, but if your phone is booting, maybe try this in the settings- backup & reset-reset phone. The way you are doing is- hold power & volume up until on screen buttons flash. Once the screen powers off, hold volume down until h-boot shows.
The easy ways to do it are
1. if you have adb setup on your computer - run the following command - adb reboot-bootloader
2. Hit reboot in the phone, then keep your volume down button held.
I think your situation is you didn't untick Fast Boot option under power setting. You can use easy way as suggested by @pradeepvizz

Similar problem,,,, stuck in boot loop
If I could get to hboot,I would do RUU to restore to a known state then
reinstall TWRP and restore my backup. I'm s-off and rooted with
VZW's One Max on their 4.3.
Currently I see the splash page, dark and the splash page again.
Doesn;t reach boot animation.
