titaniumbackup

You can use titanium backup to backup all your apps.
A2SDGUI stats are most of the time wrong so you don't have to bother.

then where i want to save the backup file? in sd card?
when i want setup pertition using rom manager warning massage come out
"wipe all data on your sdcard"

yes that will be save in sdcard then make a backup in your pc..you need titanium backup apk later..
doesn't you filesystem in ext4 yet?

i dont know what status of my sdcard yet....
did you mean this backup save all my picture and my mp3?
can i back up using samsung kies?
i realy need your guide....i dont wan to lose all my data Y_Y

nope titanium bakup will backup your applications amd data..
your using CM7 by BehradGH? so it already has ext4 filesystem..
what purpose do you want to use A2SDGUI?

i wan to create swap to support my Ram....
you know how to do that?

so what are the highlighted items in your A2SDGUI first tab?
Are your applications already running in sd-ext?

1st : "apps are on sd!"
2nd : "Dalvik cache on internal memory"
i tried to move this to sd but system said not enought memory

Yes it is possible.
U said u wanted to kno how to partition sd? So here it is.
First, connect ur fone to pc(not kies) & copy ur pics, apk's, videos, mp3's ete...etc...
Den download Mini partition tool on your pc. Install it.
After u finished copying ur stuff on d pc, format ur sd card. Nw open mini partition tool & make partitions in ur sd.
1st partition should b fat32, 2nd Ext4. Both primary. Apply changes.
Finished.

The CPU is not exactly a very powerful one. Swapping will slow down overall performance just so you can enjoy an artificially inflated RAM. Not worth it.

Done. Twice. Problem Still persists, although the partitioning was done by cwm 5.0.2.6, so imma try on the official one again
Yup, I have problems too with a2sd. My ext4 partition on SD corrupt and because ext4 inherited ext2 so fsck take a long time to recover.
I wish somebody add more fs support like jffs or another journaling fs that suitable to android.

[Q] Which Rom ??

Guys I Am Using Ics Stock v2 rom.
help me choose between ics stock v2 and CyanogenMod-7.2 by FAT kang..
Can Some one Please Tell Me Why Do i Get left with only 100mb internal mb with ics stock v2..??
thanks in advance guys..
ace rocks..!!
I'm on ics v2 and I have 90mb internal left. Its easier to just partition the sd card and use part of that for app storage through the link2sd app. There's a tutorial somewhere on here for it.

Google is our friend, embrace the google . But yes the above link is perfect for what you need. If you create a second partition on your sd card of 1gb, you'll have that much space for apps . Just remember to backup your sd card first cos everything will be deleted when you partition it. Hope you get on well with it!

[Q] the best apps to move apps to sd card

what is da best application to move apps to sd card for galaxy ace? what about "gemini app manager"?
Depends on if you want normally "move" a part of the app as it is naturally supported by android or to really move it whole and leave a link in the internal memory. For the first method there are plenty of apps (such as apps2sd) but you dont technicaly even need them you can do this through settings. Fr tge second method i recommend you using Link2sd but its not so simple anymore.. somewhere here on the forum is the tutorial and its working just search a bit and you got it.

If you are using CM ROM.
I would advice you to use s2e app, its very easy to make it work, you need to make sd card extension.
I am using it and have around 80 apps on my phone and still around 130 Mb free Internal space.
Here is the guide written by SuperAce609 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1477996
hope it will help you
I just use App 2 Sd as its simple!
I rather S2E than the other apps.

now, i use gemini app manager and move2sd enabler. it is too simple to move all app to sd.. no need to do partition.
There certainly is still a reason to partition, you never lose your apps at boot or when you use your phone via USB external storage! And with the linux EXT being a being a much better filesystem, you gain geek points

Link2sd alternative

I have read somewhere and also experienced that performance of the phone decreases when we use link2sd... Is there a similar alternative cz I have loadss of apps and internal storage is not enough!
But the sudden lags even on apps stored on internal memory are dissapointing...
Thanks!

that should be in Q&A forum
and no there isn't ,Link2SD is the best i have experienced ,with overclocking there's no lag
dont use link2sd just use IN2EXT4+ here:

no apps needed. Just a kernel that supports ext4

Link2SD is more versatile and is fast, Link2SD has a good graphical interface and works with ext2, ext3 and ext4 partitions formats, also, you have the choice not to move an app if your want and so on. It only makes slow when copying files to the SD Card there's no way around this as SD cards are normally slower that internal memory, you could buy a class 10 card or bigger for better performance.

no issues at all. Just flash it AFTER FLASHING ROM and set permissions of script to 755. Dont forget to wipe sd-ext after flashing the script

increase internal memory galaxy ace (URGENT)

OK so i have searched for info on increasing the internal memory of a galaxy ace s5839i and there seems to be a lot of info regarding partitioning so i downloaded minitool partition and created a partition on the SD card then used link2sd but this isn't really doing anything, when i try and download new apps larger than the available storage which is 25mb it comes up with the insufficient storage sign and when trying to link the internal apps that came with the phone it just says failure so i would greatly appreciate any help anyone can offer me as i am doing this as a favor for someone and they are picking the phone up tomorrow

Flashed cwm and made an sd partition using that and i can create links on apps now but larger apps (40mb+) still wont download on to the phone it still says insufficient storage
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
Ok i have now linked most of the apps that came with the phone other than system apps and it freed up 90mb which is a big step up from 30mb i had before partitioning however when i download new apps they are not auto linking despite having checked the auto link box and when i do auto link i have to reboot the phone every time to make it take proper effect. Also downloaded apps use up less memory when i move to sd card rather than linking
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
Been playing around with link2sd and i am impressed its working great the internal memory from the phone keeps changing for some reason that's why i thought it was still taking up a lot of memory but once the phone is rebooted it balances itself out however the apps are still not auto linking i am putting this down to apps automatically downloading to the sd card rather than internal memory so link2sd is unable to create a link for this, any advice on why this is happening will be greatly appreciated

Some apps are usually installed on SD Card. Sadly Link2SD can't link the apps installed on SD Card. Hence you have to move such apps to Internal memory in order to link them. Also because you are using the stock rom which has no init.d support, you have to reboot everytime for your internal memory to stabilize. If you want to install as much apps as you want, then try CronMod Unofficial Script. But for this you need init.d support. CronMod Unofficial will not work on stock rom. All custom roms have init.d support. Just download any custom rom from the link given in my previous post. Download the CronMod Unofficial.zip from the link below. Now go to CWM, do Format data/ factory reset, Format cache partitions, Mounts & Storage> Format /system & Format /sd-ext, Advanced> Wipe Dalvik Cache. Now mount /system from Mounts & Storage and then install the rom from SD Card. Now remount /system and then install Cronmod Unofficial.zip from SD Card. Done! Just reboot and you can see that your internal memory has increased. Now you can install any number of apps as long as you have free space on the ext partition. Make sure to install only necessary apps as installing a lot of apps will ultimately slow your device. Here is the link,
Cronmod Unofficial
Hope I Helped
