I try to explain this (my english language is poor)
When i open with gallery an high quality image i see it in lower quality then really it is and if i set it as home wallpaper it is still in low quality.
Before i thought that Hero's screen had not enough colors (i think 262.000) to display all shadings, but after i tried to set as home wallpaper the same image with another app (Wallpaper Set & Save or Wallpaper Plus) and the image/wallpaper was perfect.
For to be more clear i added 2 screenshots of same image set as wallpaper with default Album app and with "Wallpaper Set & Save".
In first 3 black blocks you can see big differences of quality. This is only an example but i have same problem with other images and not only when i set them as wallpapers, also when i watch them with album app. Am i the only one with this problem or album app is buggy?

always fascinating, ppl don't get their problems solved for free within 24hours so they start *****in' around. and they know for sure that everybody knows the answer, but they don't explain it because they are mean and greedy.
ever thought that nobody can help you with this? or is this unacceptable for you?
I think that "download a picture and set it as wallpaper and tell me if you have my same problem or not" is not very difficult to do.
I don't pretend an answer like:
"ok i solved your problem, do this: ..... "
I need only answers like:
"i have same problem" or "on my hero i don' t have this problem"
so i can understand if it's a problem of my hero and i can try to solve it or it's a bug of album apk and i'll stay with it

and sure, it is probably a hardware fault in the dedicated album art coprocessor, you should get your handset replaced...

I've just performed a reset and the problem is still here, must i call Htc customer service and ask a repair/replacement?
my album app clearly degrades the quality but i assumed it was to reduce the file size and in turn reduce memory usage

Or lose quality?
So if i want to set regular lockscreen i must reset my device! I think it's not a good thing.

i was being ironic. there is no such thing as an album art coprocessor. i thought it was obvious, sorry.
if you had searched for your problem you had pretty easily found that this is a common problem. since you can solve the problem with software, how should it be a hardware bug?

Ok thanks, now we can only wait for an upgrade (2.1?) and hope that it solves.

someone mentioned somewhere here that you can put the wallpaper into rosie.apk with metamorph, but when there was no button labeled "wallpaper" in metamorph i was too lazy to dig into it, i just use the wp s&s method.
i have the same problem as you
when i set a pic as the wallpaper i lose quality big time
anyways i'll do what you said and use the apps you mentioned

I would like to know if one know how to disable the clock animation on touch flo's home screen.
The animation is taking the clock one hour and two minutes before the now hour, so you have to wait the end of animation to know the exact hour.

Indeed unfortunately at the moment only a cab version for Touch flow 2.1 and 2.5 are available...we have 2.0.
We need a developer to put some work into it. Perhaps Billabongstaff can help us.

I installed the App Beautiful Widgets 3.14 on my HTC Wildfire and using the LauncherPro 0.8.1.0. The Clock with the Weathericons will be shown on my HomeScreen, but in the Clock are sometimes some Numbers missing. Im from germany and im using the 24h time-format, so sometimes the shows as example:
2 :23
but it should show it right:
21:23
you can see there is the 1 Number missing. Sometimes the Number is shown and sometimes not. It is not a single Number, everyone can be missed.
i reinstalled the app and reinstalled the skin and rebootet the phone. In launcher pro is scollable Widgets activated but all this doesnt help.
i hope someone has an idea for me to solve this!

Edit: i think i solved this problem - the font file must be dammaged. so many views and no replie. thanks for nothing.

i have a problems on my wildfire device with fancy widgets..
The date widget shows wrong Day with correct date..
For example today is "23 May Wednesday" but this widgets showing "23 May Thursday"..
always showing current date with next day Name..
Have anyone knows is it a bug or somehow settings problem..
Kindly guide me, will really thankfull..

i have recently started modding, so ye, i am a bit of nub in development in android.
What i please you to answer me is: How do i set the default icon behavior like when i install a new app, the app-icon will have a default style like it is completely round or completetly square? Also i would like to know how to set it, that the default icon will be stretched into the default frame(square/round). I guess you know what i mean.
