funny, mine is the opposite, it is detected in CM7.1 but not in recovery. I have no idea what to do next.
partitioned?
im assuming your memory card is partitioned for a2sd.
1. fat32
2. ext4
ive experienced this problem when i forgot to set both partitions as primary when i did the reformat. if it is just logical partition, one would not be detected.

I can't because internal memory of neo is only 320 mb and I have around 20 games I want to put in folder which are not small at all.

Well then you're screwed since there is no solution for this. Unlike on a PC where shortcuts can remain intact even once the target is gone in android once the target is gone the shortcut vanishes as well.

Link2sd and ext4 partitsion will do this job fine.
Because if you connect your PC then fat32 will be unmounted in phone, BUT ext4 partitsion will be mounted in phone.
Also "dual mount widget" is good solution.

Ext patrition
Link2SD works only you have EXT patrition on the MicroSD.
If you haven't, first make the EXT patrition. (EXT2)

Thanks a lot man... But I checked and turns out link2sd supports ext2 ext3 ext4 and fat32 .. so can you tell me which one is the best .. the fastest for my device? And maybe how to do it? Thanks in advance!
Sent from my MT15i using xda premium
Ext 2 is fastest but ext4 most stable. I recommend using ext4

Think you have that the wrong way ,;-) ext2 is ancient.....

You can still move these 2 apps to sd. To be able to do so, u will first need to remove these apps from ur system/apps folder using root explorer. And then download these apps from playstore. And then these apps could be successfully moved to sd without hving a need of ext2 partition
Sent from my MT11i using xda premium
Or use systemcleanup to move turn system to data, then you can move to sd
Sent from my MT11i using Tapatalk
Just open the Link2SD and click on the app you want to move. First make it a "user app" from the options and then click on the link to sd button.

Nope. Usb mode doesn't allow for full unmounting. So formatting in usb mode will leave your memory card partially corrupted. Use card reader/cwm.

Can someone let me know what they are using to check partitions on their removable sd cards. I have partitioned in the past using the 4ext recovery on my old G2 but now want to get rid of the ext,.....
also what format is best to use for the whole card? 4EXT / fatext or what?
Thanx all!!!!
Please help guys,.....
I thought this would have been can easy one for ppl to give suggestions on?
Also I don't have a separate card reader so need to be able to do it from the phone itself or by having it connected via usb.
Pleeeeeeaaaassssseeee help.

You will need to format the card on the phone itself..it will partition in FAT32 format..this is the format S3 used..you can try NTFS but only Siyah kernel will work with it AFAIK..
FAT32 is the format to use here,,
Thank Z.
So if I format through Cwm recovery it will also get rid of all partitions right?....... Data / swap / extdata?...... I don't actually remember how many partitions are on it.

Format it using the Format option present in Storage under settings..or connect it to a PC and format is as FAT32 ..all the partitions will be deleted and you will have a brand new FAT32 partitioned ExtSdcard.
Thanks again pal. Appreciated.

Hi all, I've accidentally partitioned the sd-card through recovery and I don't need any ext partition (from romracers recovery there wasn't any undo option). I've tried formatting it through windows or gparted. Windows recognise only the fat partition so that one is the only one it formats; gparted sees both but if I try to remove the ext and format everything as fat32, the phone reject the sdcard not mounting it and giving an error. Any solution please? I'd like to have the original storage space! Thank you all!
Delete all partitions with gparted, then partition/format in the phone.

Format again in recovery. Then choose 0 as ext position size. It will be deleted.

I think my microsd is half-broken but I managed how to use it until it leaves me forever. I surely have bad sectors because a llf encountered errors. I used a HP format tool to do a quick format and of course the phone told me the sd was damaged so i formatted and got the entire space...hope not to lose future data...any suggestion for pictures instant upload?
