Does anyone know how to install this app? When I try to install it from the market when on PC I get a message that my mobile is not compatible or sth like that. I can't find this app in market on my defy. Why is that?

The thing is I can't find it anywhere. I'd appreciate if someone could provide me with this remote's apk. Thanks
I had to download the apk using my old android phone, perhaps you can ask a friend of yours to dl it for you, then send it via bluetooth.
Viera Remote - Here is the APK
This viera remote apk is found in the /data/app-private folder on other phones.
It works on my defy, i hope it works for everyone that needs it.

Market believes that the free app AutomateIt is not compatible with my Nook, despite the fact that I'm running Froyo. I tried modifying the build prop but it still won't work. Could one of you post the apk for me, assuming that's not a no-no?
EDIT: This thread may be deleted. I figured out how to use the backup function in Astro's application manager to get a copy of the apk file off my un-rooted phone.

You might try using Appbrain's direct installer?
I tried doing that with fast web install through app brain. All it did was add the app to my list of apps to be installed on my device. I still had to hit install from within the app on my Nook. When did that, the install hangs for about 20secs and then quits.
I also tried direct installing it from the android market through the web browser. It refuses because it thinks my device is incompatible with the app.

Does anybody have the apk for this app? Or would someone be willing to download it from the market and then attach it here? I edited the post title to clarify.

I think you are on 2.1
download unzip and install the file
Link :: http://www.filedropper.com/voicesearch21
after installing it, remove the google search widget from the homescreen and again place it. you will find the voice mic icon next to it (...or restart your phone) also pressing and holding the search button will activate the voice
voice search
attached zip
follow the above instructions

I was looking for a solution and found this. It works so much as to the mic icon appearing in the apps (voice search, translate) but when launching it crashes. Any ideas?

Here you go, these should work in CM7.
Just put the apk in system\app
and the lib in system\lib
Change permissions to system ones, restart and thats it.
Anyone tried this?
I tried only with MIUI and it's not working...
On CM7, not working
My voice dialer works but nothing else works...iris, google translate, google voice search. Either shows no speech input or shows device not compatible
Same here. Used to work better than the app in CM7. But no longer works. About permissions, how do i do it? id try with diff apps to give it but didnt work either. It says, couldn copy the file
The file from SpawNyK (last post on page 1) works on cm7 no problem...(thanks btw). I've been using it since then (Oct) and no problems with Goggle translate or others...probably used it on close to 100 different nightly builds... hehe

Lots of people who want to get android apps from Android Market directly, without having to use the
phone. Various means have been tried, but the result was a lot of which have failed. But you will succeed if you follow the steps that we provide the following. The
trick this time is the use of google chrome and downloader apk extension.

I'd like this app too, but sadly the Market won't let me install it because of my location - really annoys me when apps do that.
I could go to the bother of hacking my country for the play store, but if anyone has a direct link to the apk, would be much appreciated.
*bump*
Anyone?
Another bump,
Think this is not supported on rooted devices either

Looks cool but it must be connected to same network (192.168.1.xx)!
I dont really know if you want it to immediately install, but if you dont then use some cloud storage etc. Dropbox, Box, Google Drive and then download it to your phone. But if you want it to be immediately installed after you send it then I am afraid I cant help you.
I think the best way would be some kind ofvpn network way to remote control Your phone

I Will agree with the cloud storage options.
They are easy to set up and is flexible.

Yes! Omg. You guys lack the answer he wants! You log in to the play store on your computer, using the same info as on your phone. Then, find the app you want on your computer and click install. Choose your device, and bam. Done.

that is what i want! But i want to send any apk that way!
Well, if you could upload your apk to there, that would be the best way. You might have to design your own app, unless you can figure out a way to adb over the internet, then you could use adb push and adb install.
Other than that, you have to make your own api for it. And it would only work on rooted phones.
