Try Charging it with the phone Off and then with the phone On... See if that Helps?

What kind of phones! I use a rocketfish charger and my stock HTC charger and it works just fine.

That doesn't help I try with it on and off it only charges with its own charger

I know from experiences with this my PS3 controllers that some devices will not charge unless used with a smart charger. If the device does not detect a smart charger or will not allow a current to pass through. had this problem when trying to use wall charger for PS3 controllers. This may be it but doubtful. Another thing that may be happeneing is that the chargers you have are not new new and as such dont give a snug fit. Just my 2 cents

Using other micro USB charger hurt it?

Hey guys will using a charger from galaxy S2 reck my phone since they need more power or something?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
No it won't.
No, it only takes longer to load if the mA output of your other charger is lower.
Ok thankyou
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
The EU commission forced all smartphones to be micro usb compatible so that you don't have to throw away your old chargers anymore. So no you can't hurt it.

Charging from wall-outlet will charge your S3 fast in some 3 to 4 hours. If you using your PC or Laptop to charge using USB cable it will take longer time. Also the time may depend on at what level you starting to charge the phone. Like If you plug it for charge at battery level 15(remaining) it suppose to take longer time. Also to charge fast avoid using your phone while plugged in for charging and turn off GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth etc.
You can always try "fast charger" app from "google play" if your device is rooted...
My wall charger is connected to an extension which is connected to wall socket.

[Q] phone not charging properly tried everything

Hi my s3 isnt charging properly, when im charging my phone it takes about 10 minutes to go up 1% i bought a new charger and a new battery and still the same problem. Btw i have cyanogenmod 10 as my rom. But ive been using it for months now and untill about 2 weeks ago this issue started to happen. Please help.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
what about charging it when it's off?
Yeah i tried that as well. It charges faster of course but still veeery slow.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Then take it to the service
There's nothing i can do then?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
First remove rom and test as custom rom or root voids warranty anyway.

Yea just use orignal charger...
if i am not mistaken Normal smartphone chargers are 2 amp but there a few 4 amp charger to dicrease charging time...
Also that you can look for a kernal that increase charging mA

most probably your charging port is faulty. Try blowing air in the port and see if that helps. Or take it to the service center.

You need to factory reset. If it fixes it, its software. If not, hardware. You need to know so you can send it for repair

Just use others samsung charger to try, definitely faster than the original one. I have tested.

I'm looking for a cable and other accessories.
The only Streak cable I have will provide a charge when plugged into a laptop, but not when plugged into a wall (A/C) adapter or into a car adapter.
Weird, right? Any ideas? I might make a thread on this, but as part of the trouble shooting I'm sure people will insist on my obtaining a different cable to try. A bent pin may be the cause. Who knows.
