added netcat (busybox nc isn't good enough for me)
added bash

removed link toolbox->df (prefer the one in busybox)
removed link toolbox->rm (prefer the one in busybox)
changed the default animated boot ADVERTISEMENT and jingle
pngcrushed and zipaligned apks (with the execption of one) to save some space

Not exactly sure if this is what your asking but basically...
You need the kernel source code to edit (the legend kernel source has the espresso board files),
A handy dandy text editor (like vim),
a cross-compiler (There is one under prebuilt/linux-x86/toolchain in an AOSP or cyanogenmod build environment),
and a linux environment (cygwin might work not really sure).
1. download source
2. unpack source
3. edit source
4. set environmental variables
4. compile source
5. make a boot.img or an update.zip
Obviously that's incredibly simplified, but hopefully you get the idea.
Ok quick question to the maker of this rom... How can i add the themes back to this rom? I want to put the themes back but i dont kno which folder to put them in. Also which folder is where i can change the boot animation you have installed to stock? Thanks

good question. a2sd is a plus
you don't put them in anywhere. you can download and install them. there's a thread already with a small pack of themes to download and install. You install like any other APK. Search this forum section for them.

The PNG crush killed the stock themes. If you want them back you can either boot to recovery and push the original ones to /system/app/ or just flash this...themes-signed.zip. That is just an update.zip that will copy the original themes back to your phone.

Nope, no a2sd.
any plans to add a2sd? I mean seriously... this would be PERFECT for my needs if it only had a2sd. I'm happy with a stock rom... i just want a2sd.

Nope. Currently I don't use a2sd, or this rom really. I made this just for an optimized stock rom to bounce back to when needed. Currently I'm running a customized version of eugene's cm6 as my daily driver.
in your experience.. how hard would it be for a novice to add a2dp to this? I did a quick google and found about 3 good pages of data.. but it seems pretty complicated (packing and repacking boot.img looks to be pretty intense on a windows machine without any experience from what i can tell). Do you think i should attempt this? LOL.

what were the links they seem like the ones i have been looking for lol! i can already unpack and repack a boot.img im just looking for the steps i need to add to get aps2sd to work! i had a link explaining it but i cant find it anymore or google it!

You post a ZIP file of a ROM from Euro device for "Devs" that want to port it? Any Dev would use the original (which is assuming where you got this) from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1176174. A real Dev would not need this for porting. They would use the original. Just saying...
Also, for anyone interested, I did a side by side comparison of this Euro ROM and the US ROM back on July 21st: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15847420&postcount=17. It details the specific /system changes besides the OS change.
I think your effort is commendable but maybe a duplication in work... Either way thanks for adding to the community!

umm yea, you're sounding like an ass. sure they are perfectly capable of doing that and YAY for them if they do. just trying to save someone a few steps because i had nothing else to do. it's much more convenient to work with a zip then to have to pull it all from the RUU.

JoelZ and I have been working on it but the display will not work properly. Apparently it's not as straight forward as we thought.
I got it to boot with sound and everything the screen went out and I'm currently trying to fix a radio issue now. I really hope there isn't a RUU in my future. LMAO

My head is bleeding inside from all the reading and searching. I still consider myself a green when it comes to the makeup of android. I am a 40+ windows hacker who is not afraid to take a stab at anything. But I really need a few pointers here.
I am a stock ROM bare bone junkie. I like them clean with just a touch of modding for flare. And Electron, BigFau, and Flapjaxxx has already conquered the UCLF6 ROM. High Five for you 3. :highfive: Since nobody is thinking outside of ATT, I wanted to get a zipaligned, deodexed Rogers UXLF4 version going. It seems to have less bloat to start, has less restrictions (ex: hotspot activated even when using on ATT), and has features such as being able to select Network Mode (Ex: GSM only, HSPA only, GSM/HSPA, or LTE/GSM/HSPA) which the ATT ROM does not. What I have to start is a combine tar file. It includes amss.bin, boot.img, cache.img.ext4, mdm.bin, recovery.img, and system.img.ext4.
I finally ended up creating a version with Dsixda kitchen. Haven't installed it yet, but I am about to. Is the Dsixda a good way to start for a newb like me? Or should I be looking at xUltimate instead?
2 things right off the top that has me betwiddled is how to add the radio to the ROM with Dsixda. Seems everyone else has the AMSS and MDM in a tmp folder and these lines in the updater-script:

run_program("/sbin/dd", "if=/tmp/mdm.bin", "of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p17");

And the other is everyone's updater-script is similiar to each other, but way different than the one created with dsixda. Almost from the same template. So I know these weren't created completely from scratch. Almost leads me to believe that everyone is using different software/kitchen.
So how bout a firm but gentle kick in the right direction?

Some list an IRC so you can chat. Its a little easier to troubleshoot code in a chat sesh rather than passing PM's back and forth.

I used Dsixda kitchen and mine was not the same. Plus after reading almost every page in the kitchen thread I saw no way to add the modem. Was going to hack away at it this weekend again. Would really like to get this stock ROM going for everyone and to give something back to XDA. I just need some pointers.

Start off with xUltimate. I have used it in the past and it's pretty decent for a beginner or novice. Whatever. Lol. Honestly if you just need the updater-script,you could use the updater-script from another rom. Just make the appropriate changes.

I will give xUltimate a try. Just seemed all ROMs had almost the same updater script and were much bigger than the 1 had created. I wouldn't know what to use from another updater script. I am totally a newb here.

Hello Lalit!
Well if you want energy tweaks you might need to push SystemUI.apk from system/app as well as framework-res.apk and com.htc.resources.apk and framework files. You might just want to push the whole framework folder and systemui.apk.
If you got those files from energy's blue rom then your theming will probably turn blue. So try it from fast amaze or energy's stock themed rom.

No, that is for Sense 4 only and you would definitely be kanging them since they would probably never let anyone use their proprietary tweaks. If they did everyone would have it for their roms already. So don't even think of kanging that or they will send a robot viper to bite you. Sorry.
But NRG Tweaks is more than enough.

If there are apps or widgets missing please tell me now so I can add them in. Then I will add the option to remove apps in aroma, giving options.

yes that so cool if u add option in aroma installation for htc widget n also add an option for remove complete hTc sense with nova or apex launcher.
like viperamaze 1.7.0.1........in that rom's aroma installer chevy also include the aption for remove complete htc sense and also for apps removing option.

l will try to squeeze in time to build two stock Lollipop roms for your Sprint note 3's. A stock odexed and a stock fully deodexed. BUT FYI... a fully deodexed LOLLIPOP framework is the only way to be able to do several popular mods for our phones, however deodexing the framework will defeat the purpose of ART. So it's your choice on this. You see, Lollipop uses oat files etc and most of the imporrtant odexes for several framework jar's are not individually odexed, they are hidden elsewhere in other framework files meaning you can't simply deodex an individual jar and expect to do a mod and put it in the rom. Not gonna happen. To properly run a deodexed framework you will want to fully deodex the entire framework in one fail swoop. Enough about that. I'll see what i can do to get you all a stock rom base or two.
Please, No PM's on time frame etc. I am already in touch with another member who will be your Note 3 rep concerning the stock rom bases. He will make himself known if and when he is ready. Thank you.

My only job here will be to create a pure stock rom "base". Future custom and/or "debloated" roms, will be up to you friendly chef's, themers, etc. I'm only making the foundation so to say.
I've already gotten all of the rom files ready, I just have to build and make necessary modifications in a few areas. I'm doing a little at a time as time permits. Once I upload these base roms, you will have to ask your Note 3 dev's to build their own custom Lollipop roms using these base roms Just wanted to make this clear so everyone understands my role here. I've recruited someone to help spit out another build. Hopefully he will have it done very soon. I have my hands full with my own Note 4 rom project and testing fixes with a phone i dont have is dificult and time consuming. Ill hive my buddy anothet day or two and if he hadnt finished with a fresh build then i will pick it back up and finish for u guys.
