[Q] How to fix? No Volume from top speaker suddenly - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Today when I picked up a phone call, I heard no voice at all. The speaker located at the top portion of the phone (the one right beside your ear when you speak to someone on the phone)
I can hear the other side fine if I plug in earphone or use my blue tooth headset.
The thing is I didn't install any apps or change any settings for the past month. It just stopped working all of sudden.
I tried the following.
- Flashed back to Factory Rom Then did a Factory reset.
(problem still there)
- Installed 3 different custom roms on the forum.
(none fixed the speaker problem)
Any suggestions or hints? Am I left with returning the phone to have it fixed at Samsung?

Bluetooth in car not working

Hi - New AT&T HTC One - I can pair my bluetooth in the car but can't hear anything on the car speakers. I tried this in two separate vehicles and I'm getting the same result. Pairing is fine and I can make calls using the dash keyboard but no sound is coming out of the speakers in the car. Any ideas?
A call to AT&T who transferred me to HTC fixed it. I had to boot into recovery (Power/Vol Down) then select recovery the, when the red triangle came up, push power/Vol Up) and it eventually rebooted and worked fine..
I also removed openwatch which was running in the background on my phone which may have also been the culprit. In either case, working now

[Q] Bottom mic stops working after a while

Hello,
I know this topic may sound similar to people around, although after long search I haven't found solution to my problem, which persists. Two weeks ago my bottom mic stopped working out of nothing and I have no idea why. I am currently running Cyanogenmod 11- M5 snapshot. Here is what I tried:
- Different ROM (Omni)
- hawkerscripts to full wipe
- take out / enlarge the hole of rubber covering the bottom mic inside
- amplify the gain through several applications
- disable noise reduction
Problem is it seems software related, because after a reflashing of cyanogen this evening, during first call the other side could hear me normally, but after a while of idleness (an hour) the mic stopped working again (e.g. I cant record sound in app or call). Only top speaker works which sucks.
Thank you for your advices
Flash stock firmware with Odin and test. Get stock firmware from sammobile.com
Stock rom try
Yeah tried stock 4.1.2 rom, same results. Mic works like for an hour, than its so quiet, that i would have to shout like horny oranguntan for the other side to hear me

[Q] S3 - I9300 speaker not working

I've had a very strange issue crop up yesterday. My external speaker (the one on the back of the phone) volume has suddenly become very very low, you have to hold it to your ear to hear anything. The headphones and all are working fine
OS: CM11 M8 - been using this for over a week now
Stuff I've tried
1. I don't think I installed any app or made any update that would make the speaker behave this way.
2. I've checked the volume panel and all are at full. I've tried using multiple music players/alarms etc to see if it works and the volume is extremely low in all of them.
3. I've tried rebooting the phone.
Please help
Edit: a couple of forums say that it might be due to the headphone jack not recognizing that headphones have been removed. Seems possible since my speaker is not crackling/buzzing and gives clear sound but at a very very low volume level. Any suggestions on how I can fix this?
Help ... tried cleaning the headphone jack, removing the battery and restarting the phone. Not willing to do a factory reset if it's a hardware fault
What do you suggest ?
Got it solved, and in a very strange way
Restored my orignal 4.0 rom with twrp image. That suddenly caused all my speakers to start working. Moved back to the CM image and everything still works fine
Weird but true, mods can you add solved to the title

My headphone's mic randomly stopped working on my Edge 6. What could the issue be?

So, I was on call and mid call the headphones stopped working. I am 90% certain that because how the phone's screen comes on during call at times, the settings have been changed. I just don't know what they are.
This is what i have tried to troubleshoot the problem.
1) test my headphones on my laptop. (the mic works)
2) tested my friend's iphone headphones on my phone (the mic works)
3) restarted my phone multiple times (the mic doesnt work)
4) changed the TTY setting to "TTY-VCO" (it barely fixed the mic problem. but then the speaker phone stopped working.
5) looked for "noise reduction" setting as per few posts. i couldn't find it.
6) i used an app to see the phone is picking up any noise. (the app couldn't pickup anything when my headphones were plugged.
I am really trying to avoid the reboot or factory re-set option that few have suggested in other posts.
Does anyone know what could be the issue? how do i change this?

Help! Audio only plays through the loudspeaker

Hi so basically I have a Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 I was running Resurrection Remix 5.8.5 and decided to upgrade to 6.0 (based on Android 8.1), anyway that was going fine now I'm not sure when it happened but all my audio is coming out of he earpiece instead of the loudspeaker and I can't change it!! I've tried everything including reflashing my backup of 5.7.5 (Android 7.1) which was before this happened but it still won't go away. They are not damaged and the audio plays fine through the loudspeaker during calls but it doesn't play there by default.
I've tried:
Clearing caches, formatting system, data, dalvik catch, cache, reinstalling my backups of my ROMs several times, reformatting the aforementioned partitions, looking online, build prop tweaks, taking more calls to try and trick it into staying (I though maybe a call made this happen because the earpiece is the default speaker for that), changing firmware (to 8.0 then back to 7.1) but NOTHING and it's driving me mad. I've had an unending number of software problems since getting this phone and I'm getting really really sick of this. Someone please please help me please. I need to be able to hear my alarms.
SOLUTION EDIT: I've fixed it. You'd never guess what it was. Because the phone is bezelless the screen protector I have doesn't have a lot of surface area around the top and sides to stick properly and so had lost all its glue/ stickyness. Anyway, I had placed tape on the top and the bottom to hold it down to the screen which is working well, but in doing so I had blocked the entirety of the bottom right speaker (since the device has stereo speakers), which (and I really don't know why) when you block the entirety of the right speaker it completely stops playing all audio through both speakers at the bottom and reverts to using the earpiece/ internal speaker at the top. Well needless to say this is what I'd done and as soon as I removed the tape it immediately began to play through the bottom. This also does NOT happen if you block the entirety of the left speaker only the right one. Go figure.
