Application Compatibility Issues in Mik's CyanogenMod Rom - Optimus One, P500, V General

All I can say is the ROM is totally PERFECT....but one big problem is that some of the apps became incompatible to my phone....such as TweetDeck and Viber...they used to work with the stock rom...but with Cyanogen, I can't download it from the android market, so I assumed it was some kind of bug in the market so I downloaded the apk file itself but yet it wouldn't install.....

weird it works for me

hehe, this is the problem when getting allways the latest android version^^
android 2.3.7 isnt official overall...

Google Apps (gapps) for AOSP 2.3.2 (Gingerbread) AOSP v0013

Sorry if this has been asked but i couldn't find the answer by searching.
I am playing around with J's latest 2.3.2 gingerbread ROM - 013. I had no trouble getting the ROM installed after migrating from FreeX10 2.2.1.
The problem i have is that i cannot work out how to install the Google Apps (gapps). The thread seem to suggest that it should be in the download but there is no gapps.zip file in the download.
Anyone know how to get gapps onto 013 ?
i have the same problem!
have you tried to use the gapps_FreeX10.zip? maybe it works?
but i have no idea, do not blame me, if something bad happens!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=900441
i tried it earlyer, didn't work unfortunately..
That just breaks it
hm, that s*cks...
if someone could post freex10_12 than we can use that gapps...
Is reuploaded now, with gapps inside.

[Q] Cant find flash 10.2 in market CM 6.1.3 V4.5.7

Hello all.
Yesterday I flashed my first custom rom and after a trying a few i settled on wolfbreaks [ROM] CM 6.1.3 V4.5.7 with Camcorder [19-03-11] [Tweaked+Theme+Extras] with SPB shell 5.0 launcher.
(It looks awesome and works like a charm...many thanks!!))
However, on one custom rom i tried i found, and installed, the flash 10.2 and bbc i player apps in the market but, with this rom, they do not come up in the searches i have tried in the market.
When i go to android market on my PC and log in using my google account they say i have installed them and wont let me redownload them (I also get a "There are no android devices associated with this account" error) but they are not listed on my installed apps on my x10.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Flash player was one of the reason I wanted 2.2 (The other was to stick 2 fingers up to SE after losing support for £300 weeks after purchasing it)
I would appreciate any thoughts and help.
Don't know why it isn't showing.
Here is flash player 10.2 :
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/23949076/com.adobe.flashplayer-2.apk
Many Thanks
Also I just flashed a new version of the market and both apparently were suddenly there. Now have flash 10.2 and BBC iplayer.
Sent from my X10i CM6.1.3 v4.5.7 with spb shell 5.0 launcer using XDA App
Thanks to wolfbreak
With wolfis cm even got Thema latest flash Player from market
Sent from my X10i using XDA App

[Q] No Google maps in ICS?

I've installed Rebelrom 3.0 and now 3.1 but in both versions I can't find google maps anywhere. No maps show up in the play store either.
I did install the Gapps file so what am I missing?
Strange it doesn't look like maps is included with that rom, simply download another lpq based rom that has maps in it, like foxhound, and copy it to the /system/app dir.
Or try the Android market .
jje
I can hardly find anything on the market. With a direct link it keeps telling me the device in not compatible.
It's a shame because besides the missing apps the ROM is great.
Is there another ICS rom available that has none of the Samsung-look menus and compatible with Siyah kernels?
I've installed the HyDrOG3N-ICS rom and newest Gapps, works great so far. Play store works fine as well so except for the camera option I'm happy

Ics remix v9.7

Hi everyone i recently flashed this rom Ics remix v9.7. I ve installed everything by the book but am having problems installing apks with the market and even downloading anything from the stock browser.. I have read extensively about fixing market problems but none of the solutions seems to work. Pls can anyone assist .
Have you flashed the stock LPQ Kernel?, remember that you also need to flash that one in order to have a fully functional Market.
PS Resurrection ICS 1.0 (next version) is due in some time, so maybe you could wait a little bit and use a fully functional version...

I keep getting sluggish/slow and unstable experiences from KitKat and Lollipop roms

I've tried some kitkat and lollipop roms but a few days after installing the roms my phone starts getting annoyingly slow and sometimes apps will just close in the background. Does this mean my phone's RAM and CPU can't handle the version of Android I put on there?
I honestly don't have time to try out every rom available for the S3 to find out which one is fastest on this device. I just want a fast light-weight rom on my phone which won't get sluggish. It seems the latest official Samsung rom is Jellybean so would you guys recommend I use that? Will any of the third party JellyBean roms perform similarly? Will anything above JellyBean be sluggish?

Currently running latest Archidroid (clean install) and it got slow after about 2 days and apps often close for no reason.
Before this I had CyanogenMod 11 (clean install) and it got slow after about month.
Before that I had whatever stock rom the phone came with. I think it was IceCreamSandwich and I don't recall it being slow.
I may have tried some other roms in between (can't remember). I had the same problem with my previous phone when I flashed a newer version of android the performance suffered a lot. So to me it seems like I need to settle for a version of android that my phone can handle resource-wise.

I have also tried Cyanogenmod and it did run well in my S3. You can also give a try on Blisspop ROM, Omega omni and Omega(Stock based) ROMs. I recommend you to try Bliss pop latest stable version.
Make sure you wipe System and Data via recovery before flashing new ROMs.
If you had installed Games of huge memory, their obb files would still be there in the internal memory after flashing a ROM. So try cleaning off the unwanted obb files.
Try flashing minimal gapps which takes less memory.

I'm not sure why my phone gets so slow then. Maybe it's one of my apps that causes it. I guess I can try BlissPop and then only install my apps as I need them. It looks like the latest stable version is 5.1.1 yet I can only see v4.0.1 on their website.

Yes. Blisspop 4.0.1 is the latest stable version which is Android 5.1.1. Install minimal Gapps. Use Greenify app to hibernate less used apps.
