Is there is any application in android like symbian to share data within mobile without any mediator...............
I search alot I got an application to share data between mobile-pc but no mobile-mobile or pc-mobile

Tried Bluetooth file transfer?
Edit :u meant sharing ?
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium

yes i mean sharing
I would like to do sharing via wifi because it has much greater speed than bluetooth
as I tried sharing through wifi mobile-pc i got data transfer speed of 1mbps

Finally I got a way to share pc-mobile connection using wifi through esexplorer lan tab
But still i am looking for mobile-mobile wifi data sharing

Try a combination of ES or File Expert with SwiFTP (Mobile FTP server). All are free on the market.

uh in market there is wifi file explorer just used it

I just wanted to know that the above method requires internet or is it ad hoc connection without connecting to same network??
I mean can u transfer files between PC and mobile through wifi just like Bluetooth without the need of internet??
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium

You can set a hotspot from the first phone and connect the other to it.

[Q] How to use wifi direct?

I did many searches but can not use this feature. I wanted to communicate with my laptop, more research without success. I tried to download the file to another phone, which also has this feature, but there is the option to send, as in the other device.
Example: open the file regenciador => send => wifi direct. This option does not appear. But in another cell appears if it is sent via direct wifi.
I'm using a JJ's Hybrid ROM 3.0 with support for direct wifi.
found that source code, but I can not use.
https://github.com/android/platform...tree/master/src/com/android/settings/wifi/p2p
nobody knows an answer. Nobody knows how to use this technology to help me and help others? no direct communication between wifi and pc / laptop / cell phone ....

I do not know if that application will run. I do not know but I want to understand "linking" my device directly to the notebook using wifi so direct, that is without any connection with 3g/wifi. My research then without success.

Suggestions/Apps for direct access to my network without Wifi

I downloaded ES File Explorer and it works great. However when Im away from my Wifi I would still like to connect to my home network using 4g if need be. I do not want to use Dropbox, All share but would like to somehow use ES File Explorer with the FTP option. Are there any recommendations you guys have or any apps?
Try smart ftp I'm sure it's still free or better yet what version of windows are you running u could just enable iis

That's what vpn is for.
Many routers support Vpn Server capabilities out of the box. And even if yours does not, there is a high chance DD-Wrt can run on it.
Alternativerly you'd need to keep your computer running with a vpn-server on it.

3or4 clicks on windows 7 u have a fully functional ftp server I have dd-wrt on my router but you would still need the pc on to access your files do it all on one box

My router doesn't support it, but I can get DD-WRT on it. However I will be getting better router soon (Asus RT-n66u) which should have it on there. Thanks for the help guys.
Also is there a app you can get to control your PS3 from your phone using bluetooth?

Q: Internet passthrough

Is there any mod to include internet passthrough in my LWW?
Do you mean "reverse tethering"?
This is easily possible, look for that with these words.

No, what he/she is asking is if it is possible to use a computers cable/lan internet (because they dont have wifi or whatever) to connect the phone to the net. Yes, depending. If your rom/kernel (not sure which, or i guess both depending on lock or unlocked BL) has support for ad-hoc networking then you can, if not, then no. Just search for a way to create an ad-hoc network using your PC. Connectify is a good program to use.
Hi
Try this (in attachment) on your PC: unzip and run AndroidTool.exe; on the phone you'll be prompted to install an usb tunnel app.
Don't remember where I found it, most probably here on XDA, give a look searching.
Bye.

[Q] Remote File Transfer App?

Hey all, I have been looking everywhere for an app or method to remotely transfer files to AND from my android device from my pc, without the restriction of having to be on my local network wifi. I'm beginning to think there may not be one available, although I can't see why not.
Any Ideas?
If all you need is file transfering, try an FTP server.

Dropbox?
Pocketcloud, or teamviewer used with dropbox can accomplish this. Remote access your pc, copy file to dropbox, and download to sd card. A little tedious, but works for me.

Those all sound like they need WiFi, sounds like he's look to use Bluetooth? I mean you got to use something.
Agreed that dropbox or similar cloud storage may be your best bet. Just set up the desktop client to sync to a folder on your computer, and to go back to your phone, you can use a program like Dropsync, which offers two way syncing between phone and dropbox.

for Bluetooth transfers..assuming you have a BT adapter...try this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.medieval.blueftp

He said he doesn't want to be on his local wifi as in he wants to be able to do this away from home. And no all those don't need wifi

I vpn into my work network and then use es file explorer to get the files I need.

I wish somebody could get sshdroid or quicksshd to work over 3G or 4G, but I don't know enough about VZs network. If that works for somebody, then let me know.
One could use Tasker to maintain a VPN connection. I use VPNRoot.
Team viewer now can control droid remotely.
A phone as a PPTP server would be ultimate.

Slow lan copy speeds

Hi. when i use my phone to copy files over the network (via ES file explorer), it only copies at like 700 KB/s. my router is 300N and the
PC that i am copying from is plugged directly via lan cable to the router.
The S3 is meant to have wireless N support.
Any solutions to this ?
Thank you
