This is not isolated to pongster rom but am also facing the same on pulsers rom, so anyone else in same situation please see attachment.
Try clearing market cache, download manager cache and download a app form the market. Usually they reappear after this.

The solution is clearing the cache via Settings, apps, all, browser, clear all data.

After you clear the cache it works again.
Setting the font size again to "big"will give the same error. So you're basiaclly stuck to one font szie which is "normal" seems a bug to me which was already in v2.2.2 But I didn't noticed anything then.Is there a workaround?

Thanks a lot hendrixus, you really saved me from another phone reset!
Maybe try another browser from market. I think "big" is for HDPI and "medium" is for MDPI like our phones.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S II (I9100) running GINGERBREAD.UHKG7 Android Version 2.3.4
I cannot download any app that is larger than 10 MB. The Build version for Android Market is 3.1.5. The phone is rooted. Whenever I place a large app to download and click Install, the download bar appears (the little green candy cane looking thing) and it just says downloading and nothing happens. Can you please give me some advice and if possible some step by step instructions on how to resolve this problem? I have tried clearing the cache in the market by going to Applications>>manage applications and no luck. I have also tried a hard reset and still no luck. I will bow to the master who can help me solve this problem.
Reset the Market by clearing the data and cache in application management. Reboot your phone. You may find it works.
I have tried that already, that was one of my first attempts in solving the problem but still no solution.

The problem is simple, I rooted my phone and installed a different firmware version which already had the market as a stock app (before I couldn't connect to the market). Now I can connect and browse but apps are stuck at starting "downloading". I searched on the forum, I contacted the android market guys but nothing seems to work.
Here's a list of all the things I've already done with no result whatsoever:
Sign in and out of Google Talk repeatedly to restore connection to google servers (google talk or gmail don't give me any problem)
Ensure there is enough space on device for the app to install
Reboot device
Confirm there is strong connectivity on device, and contact mobile service provider
Try download(s) using both WiFi and network (3G/4G) connections
Unmount and remount the SD card
Cleared Market, Download Manager and Google Services Framework cache and data
CheckedIunchecked/rechecked background data, auto-sync, date and time settings
installed oldmarket app and tried using market older version
installed 3.20 market version (I had 3.15)
factory reset and reinstalled the firmware (and went through all the steps again)
went to samsung center to see if there was something wrong with the device
Does anyone have any ideas about how to solve this? It's really frustrating and it's starting to get on my nerves quite a bit.
Any help would be really appreciated.

Im having the same problems. I've even updated to 3.1.6 and still same problems. Android market is slow and I have to try 20 times to go to my app list and do an update.
...anyone?

Have you tried to flash any other type of ROM as well as different Radio nor Kernel?
Meanwhile if you need to install an app, you could do it from your computer browser via market, while you find out a solution to solve this problem.
Normally what I do is simply clear the market and google frameworks cache and data, but seems like for you is not working.
At this point must be a radio issue or a ROM issue.

i cant find anything usefull in google.
i tried installing to the new market, but the problem persisted.
after a hard reset, the market works for awhile, then the problem happen again.

So I already reported this in the ROM thread but I thought I'd ask here if anyone else has found this problem and possibly fixed it?
Every time I try to go into the personalize menu and add one of the HTC Message widgets, I get to the "Select" button and then nothing appears on the home screen.
Steps taken to try to resolve issue:
Reboot device
Clear cache
Clear dalvik cache
Force close and clear app data for the affected widget apk.
I checked in Root Explorer and it seems that the file size is correct per the update.zip and the permissions and owner(root) is also correct.
From what I can tell, the apk is there in it's entirety and all permissions/ownership is correct.
With all of that being said, I still cannot get any of the 3 HTC Message Widgets to appear on my home screen.
Anyone else with this problem?
I dont know what the problem is and it is driving me crazy, i tried flashing stock rom, a couple of custom roms and the usual fixes i came upon such as android web view or clearing cache and data do nothing. I even checked for bad blocks, the internal and external memory both. The apps that usually crash are facebook messenger, settings, gallery and plenty of others until i restart my phone when they start working for a couple of hours and then crash again. I also lose network sometimes and my alarm does not go off. I am desperate, if anyone has experience with this, your help of any kind would be kindly appreciated.
Just a slight update on the situation, reflashed a stock rom again, still the same problem, gapps crashing, instagram and many other apps, i noticed my gallery wont save pictures either of screenshots or from camera when the problem occurs
Since there is no help for me, does anyone know something i can discover the reason for the crashing, a logger or something like that? I tried watchdog but it also crashes and doesnt provide me with a log
I used logcat to log the errors, but i dont know what they tell, i notice many are sqlite database and sth like that

I found a lot of those questions but all of them remain unanswered or there are answers like wipe all cache and stuff.
It's really weird, cause this problem is still unanswered, and device doesn't matter, I have a Huawei, for example.

I'm not going to be of any help but I've got the same issue as well right now down to gallery not saving pics. It's frustrating as hell. Ironically,c the apps I use that might help out are crashing. I'm doing the 'turn off, empty cache etc but now I'm going to try re installing busy box pro. Don't ask me, it's a shot in the dark. Why is there nobody out there?
Oh by the way I have a Samsung A5 2017. Custom Rom Revolution
One thing I did prior to flashing Revolution was to remove bloatware with a script.
Have same problem with a ZTE Blade L2, I try flash custom recovery via fastboot and I received this error: partition 'recovery' not support flash. When clear data and cache, the system boot with all files and info, if deleted some files from de internal memory, reboot and the files still remian in the internal memory. Look like the internal memory is blocked and unable to write data. Going to search about his error
