Ok, i've got the bar working on cm7. But I'm getting ghosting problems in default theme. Adding transparency should fix this, but for some reason my pc is not reading smalli. Can someone add it for me and then I can post for everyone. Here is the link to the sysyemui. . . http://db.tt/kih22EKT thanks guys.

ghosting as in the icons remain there like a ghost?
Delete systemui.odex!
(If you have added transparency) or you can use an older skynet's mod and add center clock to it.
What is exact prob dude?
Means want to add transparency in statusbar ?
Yup nims11 he needs a transparency mod for the transparent theme to not have visual glitches.
I done this once before so i can try it
Ill do it after return home in afternoon
Hope there is no hurry

Nice, but can any one upload the patched CMParts.apk that allows to enable this future. Now I'm using CMParts.apk from MiniCM7 Pro V20 ROM (it haves this future out-of-box), the CMParts.apk works good, but have a bit unneeded options the don't works on ace (for example overclock, notifications led).

I have replace SystemUI.apk and CMParts.apk using Root Explorer (don't forget to set the correct permissions). consegregate the modified CMParts.apk allows you to change to the Miui-like battery bar using system settings apk.

My computer is dying so I am waiting for my new PC to be built. That means I will be unable to continue development for the next few days. I also need to sort out some annoying XML files. On top of that uni is starting next week. So even more busy. I would like someone to help me if they can as a joint project. PM me. I'll share the credit as well. Thx all! =)
About:
This is my first theme ever for CM7. Restyled and enhanced over from pashinator's OpenswiftDarkness for froyo theme. However, I have edited some files so it is slightly different from his theme with some added extras! (Includes my wallpaper!)
The theme is currently in BETA and in incomplete! Still currently in development! Please post any bugs or suggestions in detail so I can fix.
This is just the beginning so don't expect much and please don't troll/spam the thread! I will be continuing improving this theme so keep an eye out for updates. Eventually I will be compiling the theme into a recovery ZIP so don't spam me about that. Thx!
Oh...
And credits to pashinator for the main theme as well as teaching me how to theme. Kudos!
Features:
Customized icons
Custom wallpaper
Customized sliders
Custom notification icons
Custom pulldown menu items
Development:
v2 (23 Feb 2011)
Status bar icons recolored to white and blue
Recolored some red highlights to blue
Recolored sliders from orange to green
Some icons changed
v1 (22 Feb 2011)
Beta theme released
TODO:
Continue modifying icon files and replacing colors
Clean up framework-res.apk as there are many duplicate icon files
Custom app theming
Compile theme into a recovery ZIP or theme chooser
Update screenshots
BUGS:
After installed theme, your accounts may be gone. I don't know how to fix this yet...will look into it

Installation:
For v2: Right now it has not been compiled into a recovery ZIP yet. This version is strictly only for testing and is not ready for public release. Do not use if you are unsure of what you're doing. Also make a backup before installing!
Extract SlicknessBlack.zip to a directory of your choice (There will be two files)
Launch cmd in administrator mode and make sure your phone system is in r/w mode
type 'adb push [directory of framework-res.apk] /system/framework/framework-res.apk
type 'adb push [directory of SystemUI.apk] /system/app/SystemUI.apk'
type 'adb reboot' to reboot your device
Done!

r/w means read/write
and to go back to default you will need to original files that you overwrite.

SlicknessBlack updated to version 2. Includes recolored icons and some icons have been replaced.
You can't clean up framework Res as all PNG there are necessary. If your going to make a theme Chooser theme you don't need to make update zip. It just installs the APk as an app then apply in theme Chooser.
Sent from my GT540 using XDA App
I meant that there are PNGs in framework thats supposed to be in SystemUI but was duplicated. I need to clean that up a bit. And how to make the theme display in theme chooser? Just install the SystemUI.apk under different name? What about framework...doesn't that still need to be installed separately?
Look if your going to make it like cyanbread apk from phone then extract and rename your PNG to the same as all in cyanbread then replace. Put on SD card and install. Then it appears in themechooser.
Remember to delete cyanbread from system app when going to install new one
Sent from my GT540 using XDA App
Cyanbread is just the base structure for my theme. I don't want my theme to replace the default Cyanbread in the theme choose. I want to have my own theme displayed in the theme choose...you understand what I mean?
Yeah if you want to do that there is an XML in cyanbread so you can change the name and install alongside it
Sent from my GT540 using XDA App
Which comes to my problem of not being able to edit the XML files...
This one is not encrypted though just open in notepad++
Sent from my GT540 using XDA App
Which XML file do I edit? AndroidManifest.xml?
I'm not sure I'll tell you in about an hour
Sent from my GT540 using XDA App
What...that long...anyhow...I want to make a recovery ZIP install as well as a APK install for later versions. Maybe v4 I will do that. I'm currently modifying v3 and it's looking more and more pro! Maybe release v3 tomorrow or the next day, however I need to get some XMLs working.
As I said before don't copy xmls and sorry that's because I do paperounds in the mornin

What is UOT Kitchen? The kitchen allows you to customize the visuals of your phone by cooking up mods online. The kitchen can be access here
Uot.dakra.it/kitchen
A word warning the following steps involve grabbing files from your phone’s root folder and flashing your phone with a UOT update package. Needless to say, this stuff is not recommended for beginners and the faint of heart. I believe the chances of bricking your phone is present especially if you missed a step.
On the other hand, I have done it to my SGY for about five times now following the below steps and I have not experienced any failures at all. Still, do not blame me if something goes wrong with your unit, OK?
*Requirements:*
* A rooted device (in this case, the Samsung Galaxy Y)
* A root explorer app installed on your device.
* A fully charged device (at least 90% charge left on its battery).
*Preparation – Copy the required files to your PC.*
1. Create a folder on your sdcard (this step is optional. I only included it so I could easily spot where I put the files I will be copying later, due to the clutter of my sdcard. I named my folder “here”).
2. Using root explorer, copy (that’s c-o-p-y, not m-o-v-e) the following files to your /sdcard:*
* /system/framework/framework-res.apk
* /system/framework/tw-framework-res.apk
* /system/app/SystemUI.apk
3. Connect your phone to your PC and transfer the above files from your sdcard to your desktop.
A word of caution: Ensure that the root folder (/) is mounted as read only (R/O). This way, you are assured that you will not make any accidental modifications to your device while copying the above files to your SD card.
*Modification*
1. Visit the UOT kitchen page. Choose the mods you like (battery, icons, status bar etc.)
2. Ensure that the mods you are choosing are compatible for ldpi(240x320) screens.
Note: For some reason, status bar transparency does not work on the SGY. Same goes for boot animations. If you are going to attempt modifying boot animations, just ensure that you direct the kitchen to place them to the system/media/ folder of your phone, and your screen size is appropriately selected as well.
*Uploading*
3. Once you are satisfied with your mods, click File Upload.
4. Under Select flashable zip scripting, select Edify Scripting. Under update-binary, select Type Galaxy.
5. Under Flashing folders for system files, verify that the correct folders where framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk will be placed (see item no. 1 above).
6. Leave Patch9 autofix checked.
7. Under ThemeChooser preview, tick Generate preview for ThemeChooser. Under that, select mdpi (320x480) / ldpi (240x320).
8. Under Select your rom from kitchen's list, or upload your own files, select Upload system files. Upload the 3 files abovementioned.
Once your files are uploaded proceed to the Summary page. If all your mods are in green, click Submit work to kitchen. Once your files are submitted you will be given a filename of your update package in zip format. Remember your package name and proceed to the pickup page.
Wait for your package at the pickup page. Once it becomes available download and copy it to the root folder of your sdcard. You are now ready to flash your UOT mod.
*Flashing*
1. Reboot your phone to recovery mode (press up arrow+home+power simultaneously).
2. Wipe your cache (do not choose factory reset).
3. Apply your packaged mod as an update.
4. Reboot your phone again (you can opt to wipe your cache again, if you wish).
Important note: If you want to revert back to stock, just upload the 3 files to the kitchen without selecting any mods at all. Save it and flash it to your phone thru recovery mode. I recommend creating an unmodified UOT update first just in case something goes wrong with your mods. As always, FLASH at your own risk.
Addendum to important note: If you choose include font modifications as well and decide to revert your mods to stock by flashing your unmodified UOT package, you will find that your fonts remain modified. If you wish to revert back to the stock font as well, just create another UOT package using only “Fonts” modifications. I believe the default font is F01 Droid Sans.
Finally, credits go to Migsvill for bringing us this wonderful way of modifying the visuals of our sgy

But root access is needed. If you have it, i will provide you further step by step guide, if you want.
Yes..i already got root access..yeah could u give me a guide please

Here we go:
1.) Download Total Commander (TC) for Android (recommender, could also use others root capable FMs)
2.) Download the file SystemUI.apk located under this post and copy it wherever on your phones SD card
3.) On phone, go to the /system/app and locate SystemUI.apk and BACKUP IT! (copy it wherever on your SD card)
#
Optional step - if you are afraid of loosing your data and of "bricking" your device, i recommend you to enable usb debugging. Go to system settings -> Applicatons -> Development -> Enable USB debugging. It will appear in notification bar.
#
4.) Remount system as read-write and replace original SystemUI.apk with provided file.
5.) Set permissions for the SystemUI.apk as for all read-write (rw-rw-rw)
6.) Your phone will show a message, that process notification bar has crashed. This will loop, dont care about it, its normal.
7.) Pull out the battery, wait a while and turn your phone on.
8.) Enjoy!

Are you sure with this? I am sure that this is not nessesary with apps in /data/app path but dont know about system apps (even I am changing their res many times and doing some coding inside them). Maybe linux everytime marks apks as executable itself...
I am in PM with him, so will tell him about this. But maybe there is problem with extended toolbar inside notification bar - i thing it needs modded framework-res.apk for resources also.

Know that system apps like SystemUI.apk requires to be installed in /system/app and needs proper perms. As I checked that linux makes this automatically, thats why I didnt care about it anytime.

It's very beautiful this way, but I don't need it to be transparent.
I'd be glad if there was a SystemUI with brightness control that works with Stock 2.3.3 ROM without FC...
P.S. When installing apps in System folder, besides fixing permissions I soon reboot manually the mobile. This way I have no FC and it doesn't need removing the battery.

Then move SemcClock.apk, Settings.apk and SystemUI.apk to /system/app folder and framework-res.apk to /system/framework folder. Once you have finished reboot the phone and enjoy in theme
Do you hate that we cant change alarm ringtone? Yes, don't worry! I change the default alarm ringtone directly in SemcClock.apk file together with stock blurred wallpapers
Note: it works for locked and unlocked bootloader devices. You only need to have ROOT access!
A lot of icons are borrowed from other ROM-s so full credit for them goes to their makers!
Nice work! Thanks!

Great job! Thank you very much! :good:
But there is a small note: the player control buttons on the lock screen.
Take these files, and paste into your framework-res.apk as is. It will be like here.
White Magic?!
Excuse me, but why do you speak about white magic, your theme almost as much dark as stock. To fully use WM it must be as much light as possible.
Boot Loop after used Root Explorer move SemcClock.apk, Settings.apk and SystemUI.apk to /system/app folder and framework-res.apk to /system/framework folder

I'm surprised! Did you change permission of files before putting them to final directories?

Were can find your Weather Widget? It's verry nice
Thanks again !
Nice work. I'll try tommorrow on my Xperia P.
2 questions
1. Is in toggle bar a button for 2G/3G network mode? Is very usefull for me.
2. Can you do this patch to be flashable? From CWM (recovery mode). It's better to do like that because in case that something is not work is easy to go back if you post a stock patch too. I done in past on other xperia trought root explorer and after I finished to move the files in the specified folder, in case of something is wrong I'm stuck in FC loops and can't restore the old files to fix the problem.
Pls tell me which theme s that is shown in the screenshots??

Download the zip file from the first post
Extract the file
You will find settings.apk and systemui.apk
Using root explorer copy them to the system/app folder with permissions rw-r-r.
Now in the puzzle option download the file which you want
After downloading copy this apk file to system/vendor/overlay with permission rw-r-r.
Reboot
If done right you will find power toggle options in personalization in settings
