I've got someone offering to trade me straight an HTC Sensation 4G for my 16g Wifi 10.1 (7510) and am wondering if anyone here has experience with this phone and if it's worth getting. I Would appreciate your advice.

Well actually I have Both the Sensation 4G and the Gtab 32 gig Wifi, and they are both awsome devices.. I don't regret my buy on any of them.. If I would trade one for the other will depend on how much I use them, I use a lot my phone so I like to have a top of the line phone so it is a matter of taste and what you want to do with each device. both of them are amazing once rooted and with custom roms.
In Paris for the Tab and S35ay for the Sensation
I have both as well. I'd say it depends on what phone you already have being the determining factor on whether it's worth it or not.

Looking for a android phone GSM to run on T mobile for about $250 or less. 3g okay 4g not necessary. Tired of trying to figure out what is the best phone to buy, so what do you guys think?
Thanks for the recommendations.

Htc sensation or sgs2

That price range - unlocked or subsidized? Subsidized, just get SGS2. Otherwise, maybe a Nexus S would be about that much.
I should specify. Looking for a unlocked device. Used is okay. No contract.

I've been contemplating between Sensation and Amaze for quite some time now....Amaze has lot of +++ over Sensation no doubt, but no S OFF is big minus
Anyway, just was wondering if Amaze has better Data speeds than sensation in reality also, if anyone having both phone can suggest ? Theoretically, I know it should but it is also practically
Well my friend has the sensation and here RARELY hit 10mbps, (sometimes a little higher but at its highest peak). I EASILY get 12-15mbps with peaks of 20-25. Huge difference. I honestly say if your a flashaholic go with the sensation, even though the amaze beats the sensation in every category (style&looks is opinionated)

Thanks for the reply...i am coming from HTC HD2 that makes the decision even harder
Amaze is better at everything except for this and weight, I guess...
The thing is Amaze is what the original sensation should have been...though I made up my mind, I will go with Amaze coz of better camera, data speed,no death grip issue and minimal price difference. There is also CPU and RAM but that I think would negate if I put CM7/9 on sensation. The other differences are just too many to overlook now over.
Sense UI is ok except I will ICS for now, hopefully HTC will take care of that too soon
No ics from HTC anytime soon. But custom roms yes. There might not be tons of people in the amaze section but I've seen many many people help others
I actually like the thickness from the amaze I also have a trident case on my which makes it way thicker. Youll LOVE your amaze especially coming from your hd2

I get 17Mbps easy here during the day. A bit faster late night. I almost bought the sensation instead. The t-mobile clerk at the Peoria, IL store was very blunt.. Told me not to.. i will regret it. (This was before the at&t merger was denied.). I ponied up the money for the amaze 4g thinking if the at&t merger does go through (or even if it doesn't) the amaze supports at&t's 850mhz and 1900mhz HSPA+ band. Failsafe. I don't think the sensation supports 850mhz HSPA+ (per the clerks info)
Hi there
currently i have htc mytouch4g but since now there is not much development in the glacier forums i have sold this and now planning to buy a phone which has lot of roms and devs
i have shortlisted 2 phones
1. Samsung galaxy s2
2. Htc sensation xe
which one will u recommend ... Kindly advice
I would go with GS II just because GS2 got better hardware.
Ya probably know it has more RAM, more internal memory, more battery juice, Super Amoled Plus, larger screen, HSPA+ and official ICS update etc
Both have plenty of devs compared mytouch 4g but if you wanted much development, I would go with Galaxy Nexus.
If I had to choose between the Sens XE and GS2 and if I am not concerned about my carrier' s data service then I would go with GS2.

I have the White Evo LTE excellent condition and I was looking for something different as I'm not ready for a upgrade till March and this guy offering me his Samsung Galaxy Nexus 4g/LTE 32gig stock even trade.
Is this a even trade or is it worth less than my EVO Lte? Need advice from those that more familiar with the Nexus
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
I'd stay with the lte.I had both phones at the same time. Lte has better battery life by far. And cm works just as well.
There are some more rom options for the gnex but I'm not really a super flasher. If you want to flash non stop the gnex. otherwise I'd stay with the lte.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
I would stay with the LTE as well. Not exactly what I would call an even tradeoff. Aside from the non-expandible memory on the Nexus (my biggest reason), the LTE has the best of both worlds with Sense & CM. The Nexus has a few unique ports for it, but I prefer the quality of the LTE.

Ok thanks guys for yr opinions.
It's hard to make a wise decision when you're not familiar with the other phone.
I'm gonna keep looking for more of a equal trade off or put money in the boot.
Really trying to get the One but things are not working out for me yet. I'm offering my White Evo LTE & a Hp Pavilion 17.3 Wide Screen Laptop fo trade on Craigslist for a HTC One but no luck yet

So my upgrade on my EVO 3D comes up tomorrow, I was going to get one of the free phones on my upgrade. I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for which one I should get. Heres what I've been leaning towards.
Samsung Galaxy S III:
+Good phone, I know people that have them and they aren't bad
-No LTE, I use my phone network for a lot of things.
HTC Evo 4G LTE:
+Going from an EVO to an EVO is good right?
-Worried about the battery life, I got hurt by my 3D and don't want to see it go that way again.
Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE:
+Full Keyboard; Also had an Atrix before my 3D, so I'm used to motorolas bass ackwards rooting and hacking and whatnot
-From what I can tell the screen is really crappy. Does anyone know if this is true?
Is there something that I'm missing out on as far as free sprint phones goes? What do you guys suggest?
Ive came away from htc and went for a samsung s3 and I can honestly say im really happy with it plus rooting is easy all the roms are good and battery life in some are awesome. The only thing I miss from htc phones is the clock with the weather changing on the phone
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
I wouldn't recommend Motorola Photon Q.
So try deciding between Galaxy S3 or Evo 4G LTE.
In your place i would choose S3 as many people have it thus greater support on XDA but if connectivity on LTE means much more than that then go with HTC Evo 4G LTE.
Or simply, flip a coin. Not because the coin will choose for you, but because, in that split second, you'll know what side you want it to fall on.

lol, I've been leaning more towards the S3 already. Does anyone know what kind of speed difference I would possibly see in the San Diego area? Also, would it be worth it for me to wait till I have some extra cash? Is the S4 a big improvement? Or is there something else worth it?
If I had the opportunity I would jump to s3. The phone is better than the other two all round and the support is better too.

The LTE connectivity in the EVO LTE sucks donkey butt. It won't connect in places were my GS3 connects with no issue. Supposedly the One has the same problem too.
