so after updating to in paris version 5 (from stock) the volume now seems much lower when I play it in my sound system why is this? Also when lowering the volume the volume does not consistently go down, it stays the same until ~ 2 reductions more. Can I please get some help? Thanks!

Hey yeh i have noticed that the volume is much lower than before in in paris v5 but its still loud enough for me. But if you want to boost the volume, there are a lot of free apps on the market for this purpose like volume+ etc

Anyone else get this? Randomly I just checked and all my volumes were maxed out and I didn't touch anything lol...I do notice that system volume maxes out by itself even when I lower it..I'm using sound manager as my volume app btw

Maybe you should post this in the Nexus forums! J/k. Nope I haven't any issues w/ the volume changing on its own.
Lol I must just be nuts...maybe I did accidentally adjust it and didn't realize it...either way, atleast it got louder and didn't go to zero like some phones...haha

Nope, you're not nuts. I use AudioManager and after silencing system volume, it will restore to the loudest setting on its own. However, I haven't noticed it with any of the other volumes.

Or I'm wondering if system volume doesn't do anything on this phone...maybe they got rid of system volume so it just defaults to max. It hasn't effected any of my volumes yet...I don't notice any noise to be maxed out

Nah man,"ghost in the machine" it's not satisfied just with the Nexus.
I posted about this a couple days after I got my phone. I didn't know if we had sound profiles in Sense I was unaware of or something. I since haven't had the issue, so I don't know WTF was up. Maybe the volume rocker is active even when the screen is off and my pocket pushed it?
I noticed mine sometimes is lower then what I set it at. But I wouldnt doubt it being accidently pushed!!
Btw,I may not have experienced the volume issue, but the Google search screen pops up regularly and this wifi screen pops up occasionally also even though I always leave wifi disabled.
No phone!!!... Bad!!!
Is it the one to notify you WiFi is available when you open an app? You can disable that in WiFi settings.
Ive run this on solarisprime and seraphim and it handles very well. Much more diversity than beats mod on gingerbread and runs great on ics build. Give it a try and let me know what you think.

And if so what value are you using?...and did u back up the build prop before hand?...I was digging in build prop and cannot even find the in call volume setup...other then that this app rocks my note increasing the ringtones and notifications I can hear the phone ring from 2 rooms away...lol
I havent even played with the in call settings. Stock settings are loud enough for me just was blown away by ringtone and headphone levels. Wow

When u do the volume steps all it does is changes the scale of witch it increase the volume. Dont change the values to high it causes the volume to decrease after you reach the end.it also reveserable hack just so you know

Max volume on S2 is way too low, and the easiest solution for me was to use Voodoo Louder from Play market, but it's not a free app (you install a free app that will test compatibility and then you have to buy a license file to use it, and your phone has to be rooted).
Dorimanx kernel had the loudest sound

It wasnt always like that, and besides, why is there no difference AT ALL between the max volume and 7 levels below that?

Does it work with slim 3.1.0
It's a known bug in headset, you'll reach max volume at halfway.
Dorimanx 7.4.2 should be good for you and has headphone power and separate gain adjustment.
You won't really get any more out of the stock speaker though it's not great.

I had the same problem with Ressurection Remix 3.1.2 with CM10 kernel, and volume was really low... I'm on the leaked JB now (NeatRom Lite 4.0) and volume change all the way to max, but still a bit too low, and Voodoo Louder fixed max volume both in RR and NeatRom.
I would have tried the Dorimanx kernel if I knew it fixed the volume...
im using ExTweaks or STweaks for sounds boost

hi
the first versions of mxplayer had a possibility to increase the sound above the predefined highest level, which it was effective in some musics and videos, but there were also media files of which the loudness didn't improved.

My Atrix's speaker has low sound output (like almost 50% of the volume of my Motorola Defy). I even installed CM7 rom to try with the DSP Manager but all in vain. Is there any way I can get the volume noticeable (if its ringing in the other room, I can hardly hear the ringtone)? or does the atrix comes factory shipped with such low-volume speaker?
Earphone is fine.

Where exactly can I set that option ?
When watching YouTube or anything else that has to do with the loud speaker. While watching a video turn the volume all the way down. I hear buzzing noises and pops. Anyone else?
Edit: I noticed this when i did the volume boost mod and promptly removed the mod. but it is still present just not as loud.

When I play videos , right after I pause it, I can hear tiny buzzing noise for 3 secs, then it stops. Whatever sound setting I use, cant get rid of that tiny buzz. May i know your setting, can you get rid of the buzz completely?
Edit : I never try playing videos with volume all the way down, I just did, and the buzz is there as long as the video is being played, but when I pause it, I still can hear it for another 3 secs, then it stops.
