Hi
This version of the S II is made for SPRINT.
Is there a way to make it work with any other carriers?
T-Mobile? ATT? MetroPCS? BoostMobile?
Thanks!
Please look in the Epic 4G forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1281

I'm on Orange, which also shares the T-Mobile network. I have 3G.
Sorrry - TMO US
Anyone?
I guess since no one could answer, there is no 3G nor 4G for SGS2 users with T-Mobile US sim-card yet. I wonder why, it should work.
Is there a ROM that would make it work with TM US with 3G or 4G?
There is really nobody here who was checking it?

It doesn't work because the phone doesn't have the correct bands for T-Mobile US network. It requires both 1700/2100 bands to work because one is for upload and the other for download.
This little (S2)ucker was just announced by Samsung to become available in US matrket by the end if this month with ATT Sprint and Tmobile. Cant wait to grab one.
OOPS! Can Mods please move this to General? Sorry!
Hi XDA,
The HTC Amaze 4G will not only be released by T-Mobile, but also Telus in Canada!

It looks like they will be the same phone. I mention this because you have this down as the T-Mobile Amaze 4G.
Moved to proper forum.
Tried looking under "find your phone" but I can't find the spring version (sph-d710) I do see other carriers except for sprint. I don't want to brick the phone by using another carrier rom.
I think I found it, correct me if I am wrong, the phone is a Epic 4G Touch. So why the hell is it called Galaxy S 2?

That is the right one (Epic 4G Touch). As to why it is called both Galaxy S II and Epic 4G Touch, you'd have to ask Samsung.

Have any of you T-Mobile users had trouble getting 4G using the unlocked I9300? Before I got this I had the unlocked Galaxy Nexus and got 4G with no problem. For some reason my GSIII won't connect to 4G.

Because it doesn't support T-Mobile U.S.' AWS bands. You can get HSPA+ in the markets where they've re-farmed the 1900MHz spectrum. The GSM GN does support AWS.

tired of waiting on root... considering selling my mega for the international version. Do any of them support LTE on att? all im reading is HSP+?
The GT-I9205 is the only one that does LTE & it doesn't connect to AT&T at 4G
