For The record never take your evo 3d to a rifle range... Assurian will not cover accidently shooting your evo with a .308
I finally picked up a new 3vo and got a hell of a deal on it. But the previous owner rooted it and deleted all the SD card contents... is there anyway i can get the 3d green hornet video back? Can it stay rooted with custom rom or is the free 3d movie only for stock roms?
Its currently running Infected Eternity and bcblend kernel...

1. yes it can stay rooted. just dont flash a stock rom.
2. yes you can play the video with a rooted phone on a custom rom.

then add it to your sd card directory.

I didnt shoot it. I had it up on a rail to take video and some jackass AD'd across the range. He put a 308 through the back of my evo.... I was ****ty.

Yes. Some Idiot had an accidental discharge and instead of shooting down range he shot across the range. he was trying to clear a jam and shot diagonally across the range and up thank god, so instead of hitting a person all he hit was my 3vo and a metal roof

You know why? Cuz eve 3d is freaking cool that's why. No for real, I have been showcasing my 3vo to friends at work with them YouTube 3d feeds and they all were like WOW!!!!! I say that's right, meet my 3vo.

I have no idea why people were dogging this phone so bad before it was released. It has turned out to be a great smartphone so far how many others can say you have a 1.8ghz smartphone

My evo 3d comes htc stock at 1.2 ghz. the chipset is stock 1.5. 1.8 is a nice way to kill the battery and not having a fan in there must be great too.... just sayin

Guess its a Late Night talk show host thing... I saw Craig Ferguson at The Grove a couple weeks ago and he was talkiing on an Evo 3D. Nice guy... Ive seen a couple live tapings for his show.
I don't need 1.8ghz. Mine runs 1.5ghz with setcpu throttling the phone when it needs to. Also, I undervolted my CPU when I overclocked to 1.5ghz, so the battery drain isn't a problem.

well, not really.. you wont really kill the battery faster.. it depends on how you use the phone.... i am waiting till we can root the phone to mess with it, i havent even done the temp root..
but with the right kernel you can OC and undervolt.. giving you great battery life and you can tone it down when you dont need the extra boost.. most of the time i was running conservative with my OG Evo
and heat... this phone just like any other smart phone will get hot, people just need to pay attention to that and everything is golden.
I got the 3d for a over a few weeks now and when I got it the 3d movie and youtube were both working now it only seems like the pics or the 3d videos I have taken with the phone work, seem a topic like this in the past but i can't find it, does anyone know how to fix it?

That only affects picture and video capture. Open the movie, tap the screen to bring up the controls, hit the "3D" button. It'll say "2D" though if you're already in 2D mode, which I suspect you are.

This work, man I think is a bug the htc needs to fix, rebooting the phone for 3d to work is not the most practical movebut thanks

the cool factor sounds pretty cool, but think it'll really just be a lot of trying to even the phone up to your face. nothing will have a 3d effect either things will just pop a little. this would take a total framework redisign and would probs be easiest on cm7 i think....

i havent actually noticed my battery doing worse when i do stuff in 3d. have u? i assume it's prob just a little bit, enough electricity to magnetically tilt clear little filters or something.
I have Newts One S Rom and I must say it is amazing. But I can't take or view 3D pictures or Videos. Can somebody help me?

It's still a ROM that has quite a bit of progress left to go before it is fully functional. As it isn't a 3D-based ROM, and instead a port from another device, getting 3D working is a pretty large undertaking. You won't be able to take 3D pictures or play 3D games for a while. Keep an eye on Newt's thread for updates, and maybe you'll get lucky one day soon and he'll iron that out.

After playing game browsing internet listening music, my EVO 3D has turned into a tiny sun. It can warm your hands in the winter,but in the summer, I dont feel comfortable. I did not overclock my cellphone but it is still hot on the back Does anyone here have the same experience with me？ I suppose the heat generated by my htcphone is the same as my laptop. Maybe htc shall mount a fan on their cellphine in the future.

GB or ISC? In leedroid 5.4 gb of course while charging the camera back im me hand burnen. In Virtuous Shooter ISC i did not notice this problem ;P

This is one reason why I have gone off MHL adaptors. It makes the phone so damn hot. I much preferred just plugging in a mini HDMI cable to my O2X. I personally hope they go away from the idea.

I have noted this also. Not when watching 3D movies. I don't browse the internet on phone - too small.
However, when playing 3D games - yes the phone gets very hot.
I'm using GB rom and I have it overclocked a little but only on demand.
It is amazing how hot it does get.
It's the stock rom flash any mean rom or even chads newest kernel over stock rom which is extremely stable and can oc to 1.6 mhz with no shut offs it dosnt matter gb or ics on the mean rom but chads newest kernel I believe is for gb only

It's the opposite for me. I don't know if it's because I'm having to use chad's htcleak kernel to boot ICS roms, but when I'm streaming music and especially if I'm charging at the same time my phone gets WAY too hot for my liking. A lot hotter than it ever was with GB.
Hey guys, I have an idea! If your phone gets too hot, you can move to Canada/Russia! Isn't that neat! Joking aside, if it gets hot, you should let it cool down because you don't want something to explode. I'm thinking that it's mostly the GPU because the CPU rarely shows use during light activities like browsing so something could be up. However, for me, my phone only gets hot when I'm playing minecraft mobile for some reason.
