Anyone get in touch with p3 to test his modified 2.3.3 update.zip?
His tweet was about 3 hours ago so I am assuming he has passed it out to a couple people now.
my thoughts is that it didn't work and now he's keeping quite but who knows
I think he's busy he isn't on Twitter all the time lol
I tweeted him back and said I would test it but did not hear back.
He's out of town so probably busy, expect to hear back when he's not busy.

Same here... It was some time later but yeah, what the guy who posted before me said....
I assumee p3s zip is pre rooted? how about for the people that went ahead and updated, any promising root methods in the works?
If you're already updated, p3 said that you can sbf back.

I would assume that is not true until it's confirmed x10.

anyone have the new gtalk with video chat running on the x2?
I installed it a few weeks ago and the video and voice calls don't work... I don't know if its because I am using a Google apps account with my own domain or what but attached is a zip containing the files and instructions... Try it out and let me know cuz if it has to do with my G'apps account I'm not gonna be too happy....
Just installed this and its just constantly loading its not doing anything =/
That's why I wished we'd have gotten 2.3.4 instead of 2.3.3 i believe that's What's missing to make it work.

We don't have front facing camera

here's a link to get the new gtalk with working voice but no video for any GB version
Now if someone could only get Skype video chat to work on our phone by routing what would be the front facing camera to the rear camera....

Here's a working install, all credit for the actual gtalk mod goes to XsMagical over at the evo 3d forum. The op says working voice and video. I haven't tested this yet, and I would highly recommend making a backup. If someone installs before I do let us know what the result is.
I'm trying to use Rom Manager Premium to install ClockWorkMod. It down loads successfully, but then never installs. This is with a rooted Droid X2. Has anyone seen this problem and found a solution to get the install to work?
Yes the X2 is listed under Rom Manager but it's not FULLY supported, yet. Uninstall it. This thread is going to get ugly..i can feel it.

Is anyone else having any problems with this app? If i change my battery icon, all my contacts are erased (this happened twice). Also, the sysctl tweaks are not holding. i kinda don't want to change anything else with this app. who knows what else it will erase on my phone. I have email jrummy but no response.....

You should be able to change all values. Everyone here uses rom toolbox and it works fine. It is fully supported for the x2. You are the only person with this problem.
This was sarcastic. Go read some stickies.

Haha. I didn't see who it was who posted this before I started reading it and thought u were serious for a minute lol
For reals tho. It is getting frustrating EVEN for ME. To keep answering the question "how come rom toolbox messed up my x2"
OP. Only a small handful of options work for rom toolbox/rom manager for us.
I would stay away from them until you see some official statement from jrummy saying we have full support. Unless you like to practice sbf'ing tho

Not accurate. ROM manager is what you stay away from. ROM toolbox works great! Most all of it works except the cpu settings. OP - If you're running stock, do u even have the init.d hack installed in order for some of the values to stick?
Edit: I just changed my battery icon earlier and had no issues w/ losing contacts. I've flashed boot anis just fine, changed the font, no themes available yet but i think that well require you running liberty ROM, i believe.
Sent from my DROID X2 using xda premium
Ya I've heard the rom manager doesn't work for us but see all kinds of people using rom toolbox. Does anyone know which options in there I should stay away from. I wonder if liberty has anything to do with you not loosing your contacts for battery icon change. I changed mine twice and it did it both times.

(As in what he said would have been something you would say) lol
Viskey, it could be b/c you're running stock. For sysctl values to stick you will need to flash navens init.d hack or flash a ROM w/ init.d preinstalled. My experience w/ Toolbox is if it's not supported or needs a dependency then it tells you. At that pt, proceed w/ caution.

same happened with me!! all my contacts are erased i got x10 with GB 2.3.3
i have notified the dev. doesn't sound like it is getting fixed.
One more time. You cannot use Rom toolbox on a stock rom, unless you're rooted. If you're not rooted, it causes the contacts to be erased, and wallpaper will be reset, but that happends anyway. Also rom toolbox is for liberty Rom or any custom rom only.
Sent from my Droid BionicX2 using my XDA App.
I am rooted but thanks. And you can use rom toolbox with the stock rom but a lot of dev include it in their custom rom's because of the functionality it adds. No need to get hasty...

No, it doesn't come stock. It comes stock in Jelly Bean, not ICS. There is a way to get it working on ICS but I can't get out to work on this phone. I also don't want to try anything too crazy until recovery is developed so I can Nandroid.

I thought I read that too. P3 always comes out with these hacks so quickly. He'll probably have a Jelly Bean release soon enough. Recovery will be nice, so we can play around and know we have a nandroid. Also, with recovery, themes and roms are not too far off.

And you have the Razr HD? Don't we need a recovery in order to install it? I'll try the manual route and report back.
I just read through the post and it says we have to be on a deodexed rom. I am on stock, rooted. Is that what worked for you?

I'm on the kissing cousin of the Razor HD, the Atrix HD, we don't have recovery yet either, I'm on a stock, rooted, odexed ROM, and the manual method worked great for me. Like I said, "Flawless". If you read through the thread, you'll see some that have installed on odexed ROMs with no problems. The OP stated that while it will work on an odexed ROM, he hasn't tested it out on one.
It's very easy, and painless if you follow the VERY simple instructions to the letter.

I don't know what the hell I'm not doing. I tried the first version and got same result...lots of FCs. Maybe I'll just have to wait for this phone to get the Bean update. Hopefully it won't be too long.
